This is a low production numbered limited edition built in Germany and was in production between July 1981 to September 1982. It was only build in left-hand drive and was fitted with the a turbocharged version of the, ordinary normally aspirated, 2.8 liter Cologne V6 from the Granada. In the Capri the engine was fitted with a single Garrett T4 turbocharger with at boost of 5.4 psi and it did so the output of the engine become 190hp.
The Capri Turbo RS was clearly inspired of the Zakspeed racing cars, with a widened series-X-bodywork, front and rear spoilers badged with 'Ford motorsport' logos, RS alloy wheels and a RS badge on the engine. The chassis of the car was also upgraded with a limited slip differential, Bilstein dampers around the car, an anti dive kit, upgraded anti roll bars for better road performance.

No one knows the exact number, but it exist figures that say around only 155 or 200 exemplars of this limited edition car was made.

Powertrain: 2792 cc , V6 , Turbo , Solex carburetor , 190 hp / 5500 rpm , 279 Nm / 4500 rpm , 4-speed manual

Dimensions: Length 4440 mm , Width 1780 mm , Height 1323 mm , Weight 1257 kg

Performance: Top speed 220 km/h , 0-100 km/h ~8 sec

We've had suggestions for different engine variants of the same cars before, it's ok.

Hm, yeah almost or maybe but mine has other wider body kit and have more power and better top speed but worse 0-100 for some reason.. But yeah I guess, oh I don't know....:( Can someone help?

I think It is virtually the same car, but one is 1981 and the other 1982. The difference in specs is probably because the 1981 states that the figures are estimated. Personally I think it looks a lot better without the bodykit, but If I was after a turbo Capri the one to go for would be the Broadspeed Bullett Capri - I don't know if this car has been suggested, but it had a 230bhp turbo version of the Essex 3 litre originally developed for TVR and used the Mark 1 Capri body.

I took the numbers from an German book about Capri and a brochure from 1982
