Okay, The Ford GT '02 is something I've been after for a very long time. It has never appeared in my UCD. The sad part is the car is untrade-able because of its price. I know this sounds silly but is there a way for me to increase the chances of this car appearing in my UCD?

Sadly, no. You can quickly cycle through the UCD and hope you get it. A way to quickly cycle the UCD is to load a lisencse test, and skip to the next test, then the next test, then the next test. That way, you should have a fully new, or mostly new, UCD.

Get a 2002 birthday ticket from the marketplace, then backup your GT save data onto a USB stick. Then go into GT open the 2002 ticket. If you don't get the Ford GT, upload the save data from the USB onto the PS3 save data and you'll have the ticket again. Just do this until you get the GT.

What has been said above me, you can also check the link and find out when the next Ford GT appears in your UCD.

I believe so. It's extremely rare in GT5

No kidding! I haven't even heard about it! Well, time to drag race with it! I will look for it also. And OP, if I get it, ill send a copy?

$900,000 car. untrade-able :/

It has to be a million!

It is 1,000,000 new. And it's not faster than the no stripe. It's the slowest of all the GT's. It's really the concept from GT4, only the Concept got dropped from the name.

Well oh well. Not tradeable not faster, not interested.

I'm not sure if that's true. You can tune them very well. I heard rumors that it has the Ford Roush Racing engine. I've also heard that the No Stripe has a Roush engine as well. Anyway, I kept refreshing my UCD and finally got the Ford GT '02 in Yellow with black stripes. I bought the car for $999,575. It only has 53.1 miles!

EDIT: correction, the Ford GT '02 and the No Stripe both have the same HP and weight, although, the No Stripe does have 500 more RPM.

It's very good looking and still very fast when modified. It's very rare, people are amazed when they see one in a public lobby. Considering they are untrade-able (so they can not be duplicated) and they rarely come up in the UCD. I've been playing GT5 for a while and I believe this is the first time one has ever come up.

They are not rare as I have 4 of them. There are no rare cars, aside from the stealths and chromlines, as each car can be obtained in various different ways. UCD, OCD, b-day ticket, and level ticket are ways to obtain this car. As for it showing up in the UCD, it shows up quite regularly for me. Furthermore, I have seen this car in a good number of online rooms which further backs up my claim of this car not being rare. You touting this cars rarity for you does not make it rare for everyone else.

Okay, you are correct. I have heard that once you purchase the car it will tend to come up more frequently in the UCD. I've been playing this game for two years and this is the first time it's come up. So will see if more come in the next couple of weeks.

How often do you check the UCD? I always have been pretty anal about checking it after every 5 races which makes a difference. If you are not checking it regularly like that, who knows how many times that car has cycled through without you seeing it. See where I'm coming from on this? Just because someone has been playing from day one and say they have never seen a certain car, if they are not checking the UCD after every 5 races, they don't have no real claim as to a cars rarity as it relates to it showing up in the UCD.

Oh believe me, I check the UCD every time it refreshes. Anyway, thread closed.

You can't close a thread by changing the title of it to "closed"...

It's not true. The UCD is preset. The fourth post gave you a link that allows you to search for your current position in the known UCD lists to tell you how many days to skip to get the car you want.

Even some stealths and chromelines still aren't "rare" The NSX or the GTR stealth aren't rare. Jag chromeline (which frustrates me that I can't get it!).

And I suppose you are correct about the GT '02 not being a rare car, but no one can deny it's an uncommon car. I'm religious about checking my UCD, and I've still only seen it maybe 4 or 5 times. It's far less common than say that of one of the several Skylines that show up almost anytime the UCD refreshes. There are certain cars that show up less, it's obvious fact. For example, the Zonda LM race car is pretty uncommon in the UCD same with the 7.3, but with OCD and tickets, maybe they can't be considered truly rare, but they are still very uncommon amongst the game itself. Just because you may think they aren't rare, many others who don't have them or are newer to the game consider them very rare. It's really a matter of opinion on what's rare or what's not.

@ dylpro: No, its not opinion. Its fact. There are no rare cars. Better look up the definition of rare. Just because you may not have a car or personally don't see it as often as others does not mean its rare. Every car, besides the obvious ones, can be easily obtained through various tickets. Rare, by definition, does not go by opinion but rather by quanity. Example: PD decides to gift 5 lucky people a 1970 Pontiac GTO "Judge" which can't be traded or otherwise duped. Only 5 people would have that car. That car would then be considered rare as there would only be 5 of them. That, my friend, is rare. Not what we have in this case which is every car being easily obtainable with baisically an unlimited supply. Hope you understand what rare is now.

Wow, I guess I was wrong. I thank you for pointing me in the correct direction sir.

Is what you'd want me to say. Maybe your dictionary definition is correct, but then what do we call the Ford GT 02 as in terms of its quantity? Say there is no OCD or easily obtained tickets, which for people who haven't or can't access the updates, then the Ford GTs rare (Yes I used the R word!) cycle through the UCD means its rare for that individual. His opinion, it's rare. Your opinion, it's not. See how opinion works?

I did not mean rare is an opinion, I meant the level of a cars rareness can be opinion. You, consider the GT common. People like the OP may consider it rare.

Now if you feel like you must continue then I'll let you, otherwise you can just pretend the first paragraph is all I wrote to this. I just feel this is getting pretty ridiculous now, but hey, that's my opinion.

Who cares what you call it, its uncommon and does not pop up as often in the UCD as some other cars. So relax. You are making this ridiculous. You are complaining because we are calling a car rare and you are arguing the fact that there are no rare cars in GT5. I think everyone see's you are making a big deal over me calling a car rare. To most people rare means uncommon. It might not be uncommon to you, but I'd say it's uncommon to most people.

Wow, you kids really need to lay off the sugar, lol. Have your own opinions, thats fine. I just find it silly people consider any car rare in this game. And I'm not the only one that feels this way. Whatever keeps the game interesting for you I guess.

Rare, Uncommon, More difficult to find in the UCD, hard to get with a 2002 ticket...

All synonyms CargoRat... Please don't pretend that the first, maybe second time you came across a car that was less common in the UCD or harder to get with a ticket which includes dozens and dozens of possible prize cars, that your comment when buying/winning was "meh, I'll have me four of those soon.". That's ridiculous.

You sig claims you are 100% complete with the game. Well done, but why not let others, at say, day 350 ish and 30% complete play the game and react to certain cars, happenings and accomplishments like a person at 30% should?

---For what it's worth, I apply the adjective RARE to the GT 02'. I'm no kid, in fact I have three.
