Ford GT rubbish?

Should I keep saving for a Ford GT 05? From what I hear on some of these threads its rubbish. Has anyone tried ProtegeLX settings for the Ford GT yet, and if so are they any good? Should I consider buying a different car or wait and win the Ford GT LM Edition Spec-II ('04)? Cheers
