Formatting the Hard Drive!?

What happens with the games i bought in PS Store when i format the drive? Can I download them again for free or do i have to pay again?

I'm going out on a limb here, but they should be in your download list and tied to your login ID so you don't have to pay again. This is speculation of course. A good way to test this is to re-download a game that you have payed for and see what happens.....

But will the completed downloads list still be there if i format?

I am betting it checks your machine ID, as well as your PSN ID. Otherwise you could log in on your friend's PS3 and free games.

Yeah, not sure how that works. I know when I replaced my drive, I backed up everything and restored everything onto the new drive.
