I think there was a lot of talk about it, but it never got implemented to my knowledge.Wait, wasn't there a rule coming in about a driver who causes a red flag in qualifying has their best time deleted or gets DSQed or something?
And was used in F2 qualifying this weekend I believe.I think there was a lot of talk about it, but it never got implemented to my knowledge.
Edit: it did get implemented in F2 and F3 though
Started the session as a steward magnet, ended it as a wall magnet. Glad he's alright though, odd qualifying.Colapinto seems to be something of a steward magnet on his second debut...
Same thing happened on F1TV commentary.Anthony Davidson completely missing the part of the Bearman footage where the red flag panel doesn't light up until after he's crossed the timing line. The red lights are on as they usually are at the chequered flag, but the red flag panel doesn't appear until after he's crossed the line.
I don't understand how everyone is missing that. It's a good few seconds after he crossed the line.Same thing happened on F1TV commentary.
Man this qualy is a mess
Alex Brundle has now corrected himself. He was looking at the regular lights.I don't understand how everyone is missing that. It's a good few seconds after he crossed the line.
To me, this looks like an objectively wrong decision. I would love to see a full explanation for why the lap was deleted and the review denied.I dont get it, the timing line is before S/F.
Now watch everyone do Q3 on the mediums and no one run the C6 tomorrow rendering the new strategic tyre totally useless 🤣New tires this weekend but Aston Martin go through into Q3 on mediums. waht is going on
