Formula 1 heads up the Mexican Altiplano for its annual high-altitude Headache. The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez being at over 2000m of elevation sees the highest speeds of the year due to low drag and a long straight, all despite having the highest aero levels to try and get some air to grip the car to the floor. Track Limits were a big sticking point at the last race when it comes to overtaking, so the grassy runoffs will give us a different set of complaints if it comes to rudely shoving drivers off the track. Leclerc brought himself into the title fight with a win in Austin, but can he or Norris mount any kind of challenge to Verstappen in these last 5 races. Without a Max DNF, probably not but we'll find out at the MEXICO CITY GRAND PRIX!

This snoozing around the track needs to stop. So many close calls in the past and very lucky again today that nobody got hurt in the Albon/Bearman incident.

So...does this mean Robert Shwartzman will be penalized for his first ever qualifying by default?

Also lmao, Russell.

Nasty hit for Russell, surprisingly shallow techpro barriers for such high speed spot.

Annoying that they haven't show the incident at full speed, harder to tell the severity from slomos.

Piastri fed up of being Lando’s wingman. Much more fun to start at the back and race for himself.

Perez going out in Q1 at Mexico must be the final straw for Red Bull. This disaster needs to end with him being kicked out now.

We've had about 50 moments in the past 2 years which should have been the final straw, yet here he still is.

With Tsunoda getting a Red Bull test after the season, I don't expect Checo to be in this car next year though. Not sure if it will be Yuki though. If Lawson keeps performing I could see Red Bull taking a risk on him.

Edit: This doesn't help Yuki 😅

Insane lap from Sainz that.

Both Ferraris, Lando and Max on the front two rows, with this long run until T1. Gonna get spicy tomorrow.

Yeah, there's no way Daniel had to kick rocks while performing the way he was and Checo gets to play out the rest of the season performing the way he is.

On what planet does this make any sense?

When did the stadium section get a roof, is that new for this year?

Why do the leaders rush the formation lap?
They end up waiting 30s at the grid waiting for the back markers to line up which means their tires cool down.

Oh Yuki. Damn. Took long enough for the SC.

edit: Dang, Albon parked.

edit edit: I see... Albon clipped Yuki's right rear. 😤
