Or it could be that they're not wasting tyres on battles that aren't really part of their race. Sad to see but that's often how it is.

Sainz was a net 2nd in the race before all this, Gaslys car barely made Q3.

I view it as if the top 3 cars all are off during the race, it's anyone's chance.

The problem is the Red Bull is hard to drive. Gasly said himself last year when he went into the Toro Rosso it was so much easier to drive fast. So it may not be the best move.
