The Summer Break comes to an end in the Netherlands as Formula 1 returns to Zandvoort for the start of the second half of the season. The title battle between the McLaren drivers looks to be rumbling on until the latter parts of the season and it could go either way. Red Bull and Mercedes have won races this year, can either of them or another team get any more wins this season, or is the McLaren train looking too dominant and consistent to allow that? We will only find out starting from the DUTCH GRAND PRIX!

Some changeable weather in the forecast which might liven up qualifying and the race, though thankfully (especially for the support races) it doesn't look heavy enough to cause stoppages. I wonder if Max & Red Bull might redo the Silverstone strategy and go super skinny with the wings to grab pole, knowing as we all do that McLaren will play it safer.

For the championship battle Lando should be on top, it's practically a home race (according to the song) and he was flying here last year.
 
I am there 😎😎😎 landed an hour ago, on the train to my base in Leiden now!

It's going to be a fun and wet (but good wet, not bad wet) race I think, I brought a poncho with me especially.

Really looking forward, obviously. Just need to not overdo it on Super Friday, 😎😂

I still have one ticket available for GA2 if anyone wants to make a sensible offer, I decided to get an Arena ticket after I'd already bought the GA2 one. Got it up on Twickets also.

Bought GA 2 in haste in December, then bought an Arena ticket in March ish. But I'm offering it for well under face value if anyone's keen

Soft advantage on this track looks insane.
 
The McLarens are once again world apart from everyone else.
 
Lance Stroll crashes hard into turn 3 11 minutes into FP2.
 
That looked like he just braked way too late

Edit: good call from Max. Lance already had issues with his hand/wrist. This surely doesn't help with that.

Arena is class. Got row 32 of 34 thankfully not a bottom row, you can even look behind the stand (2nd pic) and see the run out of Hugenholtzbocht. God I love this sport.

Walking along the beach to the F1 is underrated also!

Saw at least 4/5 cars miss their braking point and go into the "Zand". Can guarantee that no one will do that in the race!!!

Also I have respect for max, when there was a red flag / end of session, he would always drive around the outside slowly and take the time to wave to the fans - I'm not a huge Max fan, I'm Williams guy, but I appreciated that and the home fans did as well. The stuff you don't see on a TV broadcast but it was cool to see!

May as well be. He’s closer to 15th than pole.
 
Max only left the pitlane with 1:35 to go. Leaving it very late to get a final lap in.
