Formula 1 interest?

Interested in an F1 series?

Now, i havnt seen a GT4 F1 championship done, this spawned after me and x-othermic talked about what has and hasnt been done, now im not planning on organising it right now, sometime in the next few months maybe, perhaps do it in march or something, tye it in with the real F1 season by running the rounds parralell wiith the real F1 season, all i need is some interest, at least 10 drivers who will stick with it to the end. Poll here so llets get some ideas and interest together.

As many didnt like the sound of it being arcade mode, it will be done in GT mode, possibly with a simalair idea to A1GP where you race for your country, and if there is a lot of American entries possibly racing for your State. Keep posting ideas.

One thing that wont change is it will be run in arcade mode for as level playing field as possible.

What the hell...You're not interested because you think you'd lose.....Anyway...

I would be interested depending on when it is and how much time I've got on me. I've always wanted to get more skill driving the F1s and this would be a great opportunity to do so.
 
There hasnt been one nitro, not that ive seen at least.

This F1 series wont be starting for a while yet, im gonna do this properly so im gonna start it when the real F1 sseason starts.

As for race lengths dont expect full grand prix length, id say around the same length you see in world GT series at the moment.
 
I like the idea very much, a fast championship for once. :)

I'm in if it starts up and I have an F1 car by then. :lol:
 
I think it would do better as a GP2 series, spec cars, just run in arcade mode with power -20%

the advantage that the gt3 f1 series had was that there were six f1 cars to choose from

Hmm, possibly im not sure, see what other people think in another poll closer to the time:)

The american version had 6 F1 cars;) Personally i think in its current state this could go the route of ebing like A1GP, equal cars and you represent your country or whatever who knows. Lets just get some more interest first:D
 
maybe ... theres a better chance if you can make it happen in gt mode though.

i have some interest, but hope its racing, not hot laps. Love the F1 series races in the Gt mode, most are just over an hour long.
Would prefer the series be held in arcade mode for all in fairness to the tuning nuts and the loose ones. :crazy:
 
If it were GT mode, features long races with some form of qualifier, I could potentially be interested.
 
The 'represent your country' idea is a good one. I'd definitely be in then. A qualifier would be good too. Maybe run it like the JGTC, 1 Week Qual, 1 Week Race?

Ok, so the A1 style tourney is pretty popular, and it seems most of you would rather GT Mode was used, this isnt a problem, if it means you guys will race then GT Mode it is:p.

Not sure how significant the qualifying could be made, if you have any ideas as to what could be done with qualifying, how we can do it id be interested to hear.
 
try the one lap qualyfing that would be neat

How's it work in the real life series? I'd like to emumlate that to give this online series the same flavor.

I'm not sure if that would work because we could have say 4 drivers from one country yet only 1 from another, it would be a tad unfair, I vote teams of 2, like the real F1 and then have a drivers and constructors/teams championship.

And as for the gt mode thing, why? Arcade would be a much fairer playground in my opinion.

Yes but then people could also tune the car (if thats at all possible with the F1 car, im 14hrs into winning it ;))

Atleast on arcade if you set power to +20% and weight to -20% theres no way anyone would have a faster car.

YOu do have a point, but i would like to be able to set the car up, just to see if it can make it any more exciting, wondering if you have got the right setup, loosing nights sleep over it... ok thats just sad, but you know.
