just to see if it can make it any more exciting, wondering if you have got the right setup

Yes it would be nice to have all that freedom to set up the car how you like but you just know someone will tune the car faster than the regulaions allow and then no matter what set up you have, your ****ed.

Oh my bad I didn't know (still on my way to winning it )

GT mode would be fine then I suppose...

Unless they used AR MAX or gameshark or something like that.

Ok here we go...

The advantage of Arcade mode is that you can change the power and weight. Which gives you the option of putting more weight on the faster drivers and less on the slower drivers, or instead of weight, you could change the power if you wanted.

Also in Arcade, you arn't limited to Racing Medium Tyres. So in say a qualifiy hot-lap situation, you can load up super-softs. Then when race time comes, you can actually have a statergy if the races are long enough to warrant a pit stop or two.

The last few advantages of arcade are that, A) You only have to win one and you've got all the colours, B) It's alot easier to just pick a race on the track you want and set the number of laps. In GT Mode, all the FGT events are well over 90 minutes long.

In GT mode, you can use ballast to even out the field if you wish. Set-Up is also another plus. Personally, in arcade mode I find the FGT a tad hard to drive, but in GT mode you can fix this.

In much prefer the idea of the countries then just the boring old teams, it brings something new to the table. I understand that you might have 6 people from one country and 1 from another. However, you could have multiple teams from one country (e.g Australia A, Australia Gold, Australia Roo) and, or you could just take the top 2 times from that country and use them in the points (An idea I don't really like, but it works). There is really nothing stopping someone for racing for another country either if they need to fill the numbers. You could use the qualifier to set-up the teams, if you want the two fastest in the country in the one team, or the fastest and the slowest or whatever.

Anyway, just my two cents.

I still vote for Arcade 👍

Nice job Casio.

Shut it Bee:p

Check out previous post of mine, if theres 4 drivers from say America, they dont race as America, they race for their state, same for Australia, who knows, we will have to see what happends during the sign up period.

Ashley.
Shut it Bee:p

 Sigged...

Well I gave it a good fight I guess I cant be unhappy. I'll still race.

Yes but then people could also tune the car (if thats at all possible with the F1 car, im 14hrs into winning it ;))

Atleast on arcade if you set power to +20% and weight to -20% theres no way anyone would have a faster car.

so you're concerned with making a semi-realistic approximation of an F1 series, but you don't want people to be able to setup the car to their liking.
well, there goes about 90% of the *skill* in modern F1.

If you read the topic, you'd notice the idea put forth of A1GP instead of F1.

a1gp is the same car supplied to all of the teams ... the only differnce being the driver and the set up? correct? gt mode then please. :)

i dont mind not having different compound tyres when i can tweak the car to my comfort level/speed.

I'm definately interested in something like this, but I have no way of uploading my replays :(

There seems to be a lot of conflict over how the series will work so i will set up another poll and put it to unanimous vote.
