No, sorry. You will never convince me that it should be accepted, period. Yes, contact happens. Mistakes and accidents happen, but never acceptable. That's why it's against the rules and generally leads to a penalty. Hence the 10s penalty given here. If it wasn't against the rules, then fair play.

Lewis essentially is paying 10s in this race for (likely) a 15+ point deficit reduction. Any driver would pay that in Lewis's shoes.

Only 10 seconds penalty to gain loads on both the championship and manufacturers points standings while wrecking the points leader totally out of the race. It was a gift, no way will he complain, Red Bull got screwed by that ruling!

In the heat of the moment about seconds after the incident Lewis said via radio that Max turned in on him and that it was Lewis'/his driving line. But I think when he saw the replays and his non verbal Lewis knew better not to argue anymore. Just my guess.
 
IDK what's more disturbing; reading social media folks that feel as if Lewis was banned from the sport, it still wouldn't be an adequate punishment or it's coming from the same folks who would've cheered Max if the roles were switched.

Disappointed in the some of the things people think are sound takes.

If Max would have done that to Hamilton he probably would have gotten a drive thru penalty if not outright disqualified from the race!
Hamilton fans are some of the worse when it comes to their racing god can do no wrong!

Can we not start this? There's a lot of fans of Lewis in this forum and its been a pretty civil discussion. Suggesting that his fans liken him to a God is you projecting your thoughts about him.
