The original night race is upon us, as the Marina Bay circuit which hosted the first Formula 1 race fully under lights in 2008 is in its second season with the grandstand chicanes removed to make a longer straight. The proper Street Circuit is one of the most physically demanding and sapping races on the calendar for the drivers with the heat, humidity and relentless nature of the corners, bumps and walls. The grid is incredibly competitive at the moment, with Max Verstappen still favourite for the title due to his lead and everyone else squabbling over who gets the points at race weekends. Will any of the contenders start to mount a run of wins to close the gap? We will find out at the Singapore Grand Prix!

Anyone in the mood for Denim Disaster Ricciardo?

What I absolutely love on the social media channels is they're putting up the Ferrari 2017 crash and some people quote the "factual version of events" tweet that Ferrari put out for a laugh. A lot of people not understanding where it came from and starting arguments.

Ferrari looking quick. How much that both McLarens lose out to a Ferrari in the championship by a single point?

Perez once again out-qualified by both Williams. :indiff:

Edit: I like how even Danny Ric, who is clearly not having a great time, is taking the piss on the newly-implemented swear filter.

Edit 2: Carlos Sainz into the wall! Q3 Red Flagged. Max has his lap time deleted as well.

Sainz loses it just before trying to start his lap.

Max's lap has been deleted & speculation it may have been done going through double yellows.

Speaking of the Williams', it's nice to see them running with 2 cars (effectively) once again, Colapinto has taken to it like a duck to water.

And that's not how you park a Ferrari...

Yellows were late into the corner and he did back off.

Strange that Max is questioning why his lap was deleted.

Watching Antony Davidson's analysis, I don't think Max could've reacted quickly enough in that situation.

Edit: I'd be very curious to see Oscars on-board coming up to the final chicane. Looks like he lost time as he was coming up to Verstappen.

What a lap for Max. Norris will once again be watched to see if he can actually keep his position. And Lewis remains able to stay within' the top 5 in qualifying after 15 races here.

My thoughts too. Which means he had to go through Russell as well.

One would think Lando will want to go slower during the warmup lap so his tires dont cool down while he waits 1minute for the KICK to get into place, this will help him get off the line.

Colanpinto will get into the top team in a year or two.
That is for sure.
He is hauling that POS williams up into the points.
Small part of me wonders if the Williams really is a POS or if Albon has been flattered by having very poor team mates.

He's also whinging on the radio backup being passed by Colapinto, man hates racing.

It always help him when they can only build enough parts for 1 car so they are never running the same spec.

Its a williams, it is a POS by default.
They're not the williams of the 80s
The only time its good is if it is a low downforce track.

Heck if F1 raced at AVIS, they would be most likely top6

I disagree but there's not much point in arguing about it.
