1st Place Gerarghini FIS/Honda
Q: After your first breakthrough win do you feel you have an idea of what it takes to consistently fight for wins up front?
Gerarghini: We're getting there, but it's taking time. For Japan, for instance,
@Peasantslayer's pit strategy opened the door for us to capitalize.
@Jahgee1124 sorta got slowed down by backmarkers and that's where we were able to capitalize.
At least by now we know what to do and what not to do.
Q: Does this win make up for the last lap disaster in Spain?
Gerarghini: It should make up for all the could-be wins I would've or could've had this year (Brazil, Spa, Monza).
Q: You ran strong at Brazil early in the season but went through some sort of slump until around Spa is there a reason for that?
Gerarghini: Probably a mix of poor setups and/or straight up bad luck. We managed 3 DNFs this year which is never a good thing to look at.
Q: With a win, do you consider your season a success or do you measure success by a different factor?
Gerarghini: You can write it up as a success, but for us there is still more work to do. Sure we got a win which was what we aimed for, but we can't have it at the cost of that many poor results.
We only managed 5th in points, 1 win, 2 podiums, 0 poles, and 95 points which was worse than last season. In all honesty, we'd rather have the consistency of @aaror's team that rely on wins to make up for poor results and DNFs.
2nd Place Peasantslayer FIS/Honda
Q: How much did the pit strategy hurt you?
Peasantslayer: Quite a bit, I think in the previous race
@pezzarinho17 had a similar advantage over me and after his early pit he came out ahead of me but here I was miles behind the front 3 after my first stop. All the other top finishers went for a 1 stop so that must have been the best way to go.
Q: You had 5 poles this year but only 1 win. How did that happen?
Peasantslayer: Early on in the season I had a car which was bad in the race, I believe I had fixed that to an extent but a combination of bad luck and bad strategic decisions cost me more victories.
Q: Do you feel like you had a faster car then pezzarinho17 for the whole season but the points just dont show it?
Peasantslayer: I had the most poles and this car always looked capable of a podium even on its weaker tracks so I'd say the car was faster over the season, Canada was probably the car's weakest track all season and it managed 3rd in the race albeit with some aggressive driving but every now and again
@pezzarinho17 and a few other drivers seemed uncatchable.
Q: Are you happy with your results for the season as a whole?
Peasantslayer: Practice results: yes, qualifying results: yes, race results: no but it could have been worse had something gone wrong in Silverstone and then I'd have 0 wins. Thanks to the organizers, thanks to the team, thanks to the fans, thanks Honda and well done to the new champion.
(Note for all participants: pit lane lengths will be taken into account for future seasons. Pit road speeds will be either slowed or sped up to make the time lost pitting the same at each track)
3rd Place Jahgee1124 FIS/Porsche
Q: How disappointed are you that you didnt win after getting passed by Gerarghini for the lead with 6 laps to go?
Jahgee1124: On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm about a 8458974478454222222222222222786425787478.
Q: You finished the season with 3 straight podiums. What is the reason for your turnaround?
Jahgee1124: Figuring out the suspension for the car.
Q: Was your car as fast as it will ever be or do you feel there was more speed left?
Jahgee1124: I think that there was more speed left to be found in the tires.
Q: If the season was a few races longer, would you have won?
Jahgee1124: If there was a race at Monza or Spa today, I would win. Otherwise, the same usual suspects would win every race.
Champion optiongamers FIS/Ferrari
Q: Congratulations on winning the championship. What did you do differently this year to come out on top?
optiongamers: Thank you. The thing I did diffrently this year was being consitent. The setups was mainly just one setup with tweaks for the races. Some cars were faster in other tracks but luck seemed to play a role in winning races. The best I could do was hope for the best and it worked out well.
Q: Was the key to winning the championship wins, consistency, or strategy?
optiongamers: wins help a lot in the points but being consistnet plays a major factor as well.
Q: You missed the podium the last 2 races is there a reason for that?
optiongamers: I wanted to play it safe. If I had a DNF in one of the races there could have been a diffrent champion.
Q: As champion, what else left is there to do?
optiongamers: For season 3 (if there is one) the goal now is to get a constructors title for a team.

About the Future
Thank you to all the participants for a successful season. Without you guys signing up, painting the cars, changing out your setups and pit strategies etc there would be no FBS. This series is a dream of mine as Im very interested in the strategy and team ownership side of racing. So naturally Im drawn to b-spec style events.
So whats next? I've decided to shelve FBS for now. I think its important to keep things fresh. So when its time for season 3 people will be excited about it again instead of 'here we go again'. I am working on a different project. Its very, very different from FBS. Its still rfactor, its still about submitting setups etc, but there will be new strategy elements involved that I think you guys will find interesting.
Im currently playtesting numerous mods to find what works for what Im trying to do. That lengthy process combined with a natural break after a season means there wont be a new "B-Spec series" until January at the earliest. Hopefully, when the new Championship is launched you guys are interested in what it has to offer. See you then. And thanks again for supporting FBS, the series would never happen without you guys.
