Aarror Autosport arrives at Jerez

After a busy offseason, Aarror Autosport has arrived at Circuito de Jerez for preseason testing. The team acquired Ferrari engines early on, and is excited to reveal a technical partnership with the famed Italian brand. The deal sees prominent Ferrari branding on the engine cover, with the promise of technical support from the Italian marque. This is welcome news, as the team has been unable to secure any major financial backing for this season. The car has had a shakedown test at the Mugello circuit, and the team will be looking to get lots of running in order to understand the new car.

McGill racing at Jerez

After a long time to reflect on the last season McGill Racing has revamped the car and is ready for a fresh start. After having a decent season last time McGill Racing will try to improve on where it last left off and with there new engine supplier Ferrari it looks certain the team will achieve it's targets it has for the new season.

Maybe I've put too downforce in this car... Will PM you.

That is actually better than expected... I'll need to think for a better setup as it seems that this is a great track for Honda engines :D

Worst for me.... I expected a good result :( I finished 10th at least but I wish that it could be better.
This Harsk is why I said that:

Funny story about a month ago we started talks with Honda about maybe just supplying our chassis, & we would have someone else supply the engines.

It wasn't known who but when we talked to Honda about having Ferrari be the engine supplier they wanted no part of this team. So there we were back to square one no chassis, no engines, just a driver, a shop, a hauler, & a crew ready to give up.

We called Porsche & talked to them they flat out said no because we didn't have the champion or a driver that finished on the podium, & we were a new team.

So in a last minute call for help we called Ferrari. We were on the phone with the Ferrari for 3 hours arguing back & forth until they finally said yes. So we gave them a promise before we got off the phone. "We will not let you down. Before the season is over we will have a podium."

Not surprised I wasn't able to take part, even while I was secretly crossing mah fingers.

Good effort Peasentslayer, keeping up the streak of new people showing up with a bang :) 👍

I've tried for a while trying to get the program you guys have to make your own paint schemes but it won't work for me so i'll need someone to make one for me

Ok then, send a request to me, Earth or pezzarinho17 and we can do it for you.

As much as I have enjoyed the livery projects, I'm off on holiday at the end of the week. I wouldn't want to commit to something without finishing it. Hope others can help, or you can still use a default skin from OP link.

I'll paint your car with S.N.A.I.L. and Orland Magic sponsors, same as last season

which engine do you want?

Development Progress:

-Paint scheme progress: Team Hot Wheels have made steady progress on the single seater's development. We can comfortably say that it is around 70% complete, and progressing nicely. Thankfully, most of the hard bits have been completed so it's just adding small things and clean up from here on out. It is expected to be revealed within the next two days Team Manager and driver @Gerarghini says.

Also @Earth, any ideas regarding teams and/or constructor/manufacture championships?

THE REVEAL:

Today, we at Team Hot Wheels are proud to announce our Formula B-Spec car for use throughout the season. Team Manager, Owner, and Driver @Gerarghini will be here to announce the car as well as season plans.

"Thank you for coming to our Formula B-Spec, Season 2 reveal here on the amazing gtplanet.net. I know that I, myself and not the team, have been delaying the reveal for far too long. We've been working hard under many, many delays to get to grips with the new car's development (even though it was much simpler, amirite?). Anyways from the start it was apparent that we were indeed a championship-tier team and I don't think last season's report is an accurate representation of what we were capable of versus what we actually did. Even though we finished 5th in the standings last seasons with a couple of podiums and poles, we had no wins to show for it and we had three DNFs, hurting any hope we had for a championship. Whether it was a fault of the driver, crew, or otherwise is irrelevant. Today, we start a new season and with that, a new rebirth of our entire racing operation. I do want to promise one thing: a win. We've been front runners last season but could never close the gap. But it'll all change. This is our season."

"Well then, to finish the delay once and for all, today at approx. 9:30 PM PST as I write this out, I am proud to present our new livery for the new season!"

The template is here as well, see for yourself. Ignore that it's called "form_13." It should be in a convertible format. (.png)

"Well, that is one thing finally of my chest. On a side note, if anyone catches a severe sponsor clashes (like a Subaru ad on a Mitsubishi) please tell me so I can fix the mistake (or not, up to you).

Thankfully we will be able to take part in the remaining two days of the Jerez testing, representing Honda and Hot Wheels as we go about our day. Honda has already caused quite a stir by gaining top-10 spots in first practice, with @Peasantslayer leading a one-two charge for Honda. Hopefully we can only add to the impressive results as we get to Jerez. In fact, the planes are just about leaving to Jerez right now with an improved Hauler that is 100% guaranteed not to open under vibration. We hope to join the other talented FBS drivers for tomorrow's testing!"

SPONSORS:

Team Hot Wheels will be presenting some of their sponsors for the upcoming Formula B-Spec season, similar to how @swiftsmith's "Swift Autosport" did their sponsor reveal.

-Performance Sponsors
Engine: Honda
Tires: Yokohama
Suspension: TEIN
Brakes: Nissin
Various engine parts: HKS & Greddy
Oil: Mobil 1
Seats: Bride Holding Monster
Harnesses: Takata
Rims: Rays Engineering
Steering wheel: MOMO
Carbon Fiber: Seibon Carbon
Sealants: Loctite
Spark Plugs: NGK

Let's give a big thanks to all of our sponsors. Let's give an especially big thanks to Yokohama, TEIN, and Nissin. These are companies that had little experience at the top of Motorsports related to Formula B-Spec. Yokohama is experience with GP3 and GP2 but not F1, where the tires are under much more pressure. However, we opened this season to help develop throughout and we're proud to help such companies develop and grow to a broader audience.

Pezzarinho17 showcases season 2 car, along with driver announcement and technical partnership

20kdf1c.jpg

Inaugural Formula B Spec Champions Pezzarinho17 today unveiled the design of the car that they hope will keep them at the top in season 2. The team are in bullish mood midway through pre-season testing and going into next week’s opening round.

“We had a fantastic season last year, winning 5 of the 10 races and taking the championship itself, and we are addicted to that winning feeling. The car is completely different from ground up – not a single component has been re-used – but we hope lessons learnt in the first season will still apply and we continue exactly where we left off in Suzuka.

“Having been affiliated with the McLaren Formula 1 team last season, we discussed further options with them going into season 2 and so are delighted to announce that Pezzarinho17 is now a technical partner to the Woking based team. The deal will see us develop components at Paragon alongside the Formula 1 cars, and see an engineer share scheme to help our guys learn from the best. The deal also sees us become officially backed by Honda ahead of their return to Formula 1 next year, and will provide McLaren with sought after engine data from our car.

“Furthermore, the deal also sees us bring aboard a new driver for the new season, as we will be giving Stoffel Vandoorne another avenue to demonstrate his abilities to those teams within Formula 1. McLaren hope to have Vandoorne racing in Formula 1 next season, so it is a great honour to have him at Pezzarinho17 to provide the last push into the very top series. He has already impressed our engineers with his development work and feedback pre-season and anticipate many race wins for the young Belgian.”

The team will continue to continue to test with their black liveried machine, but will race with the striking gold and red colours throughout the remainder of the season. Alongside the live pitlane unveiling in Jerez, press images were released online simultaneously and can be viewed below.

If Vandoorne is racing for you are you going to change "Brown" and the flag on the driver's headrest? The gold, red and black livery is different but I like it.

I realised that last night, and I just knew that someone would pick up on it! My argument is that can the team owner not have his name on the car? The lazy argument anyway...

I started out design that way, just to see how it would look. The gold was difficult to get right, but I'm really pleased with it now. I spent a long time learning how to make paint glossy / matte for it to work as well.
