Yes, I'm hosting a ton of races. I just want to see if people have interest in an Indy 500 using Formula Gran Turismo vehicles. The race will begin at around 6:00 PM EST time on March 6th. The rules we will be using is my custom, "Formula Stormtrooper Rules" :lol:. Breaking any of the following 3 times leads to both a boot and a place on the "Post of Shame".
A. Driving Rules:
- There may be aggressive driving, but no intentional spinning, ramming, or hitting.
- There will be no attempts to break a draft or swerve around the track.
- No driving backwards, the wrong way, or off-road.
B. Tuning Setup:
- Tuning is unrestricted.
- Tire restriction is set to Racing Hard.
C. Other Rules:
- You may not insult other racers through chat, messaging, or voice chat.
- There may not be any strong language, such as the F word, said in the lobby.
- All cars must remain in the pits before the race starts.

i would join, but the race for me would start @ 9pm...and besides, wouldnt it make more sense to start @ the same time as the real indy 500?

True, but I may run another Indy 500 race the Thursday before it.
 
Looks like I may have to skip this as I have a race at 7:00PM.

I am new at this on line racing stuff so forgive me if this is a dumb question but how long do you guys race an Indy 500 race? Do you really do 200L/500M?
 
I am still running it and yes it is 200 laps. I was thinking of throwing a prize car in.

Ferrari Enzo.
Mclaren F1 or,
Super GT of choice.
 
I'll give it a shot, it looks like it could be pretty fun.

Have you ever done that before? Seems like you'd get bored with 800 left turns, all the same radius and banking for 3 hours.

Well, I did the Indy 500 endurance and that wasn't boring.

Stormtropper, I am pretty new to PS3 & GT5 so I have to ask "newbie" questions occassionally.

Q: What type cars do you guys run in an event like this one?

Sorry for the dumb question, but there's only one way to learn.... :)

Hey Mustang, FYI ... Storm has rescheduled the event once already so it's possible that it may be rescheduled again.

If you know of anybody who might want to participate PLEASE 👍 ask them to sign up :cheers:
 
I was thinking about doing this Monday, since i'm busy on the 6th, so that's the reschedule time, the 7th.
 
Monday = I'm out.
 
If this is on Monday, I'm definitely in.

If it's on the 6th, though, I can't make it as I'll already committed to the IS-F race

Just want to point out that, the Enzo and Mclaren can't be prizes now, due to credit limit.
 
So this race is on the 7th now? Still the same time? I would be interested long as it's on Monday. I run a SBK X league and we race on Sunday's so couldn't make it then.
