Formula Gran Turismo or Audi R8?

Soon at level 24, got 4,5 mill Cr in bank, should I get the Audi R8 Race Car or the Formula Gran Turismo? (I know the FGT is close to 5 mill, but will get that within 5 minutes time), which car can participate in most races, got biggest potential to give me more cash etc...
 
I'm sure this is frowned upon, but backup your save game before you buy either of them and choose your favourite :)
 
Ok, thanks! That's exactly what I thought, the kick ass Audi can I probably buy later on, if I still want it
 
Or back up your save. Buy the R8 gift it to me. Reload your save, buy the FGT, i'll duplicate the r8 and send you 1 back.

I used my R8 for a lot of things, but the FGT will take you further. R8 can't compete with the cars in the later races.

What? The R8 can destroy the competition.

If you want to finish all the events, then go and buy the FGT, but if you want nice race cars to collect, then go for the Audi R8. Excellent endurance racer the R8 is.

There's also 2 R8 race cars aswell:

R8 LMS (a GT3 class car)
R8 '05 (Le mans race car -but don't know what class it's built for, but it's alot lighter and more powerful than the GT3 version).
 
R8 is a prize car (both types, Nurburg 4h A-Spec and a 24h A-Spec), not to mention worse performing (not bad obviously) than the FGT, which can go in more events - FGT championship + japanese as opposed to european.

the R8 le mans car was made for LMP900 and later LMP1
 
Buy the FGT. You NEED one for a championship. The Audi, not so much. Other race cars like it can be used in championships.
 
Formula GT is mandatory for is own championship. Destroys competition in Indy 500 too...
 
There are 5 Audi R8 Race Cars in the game.

You need the FGT more.

The Audi R8 Race Car '01 may be the 3rd fastest car in the game around a race track, behind the X2010 and FGT. I got it 2 days ago and still working on it. Amazing car.
