Formula Gran Turismo requirements...

So I have a likely stupid question:

I didn't go the "Championship" route, as I didn't want to drive a Formula GT car for 3-4 hours straight, I just did each race one at a time - now I've got gold in all but "Cote d’Azur”, as I screwed up badly on the last couple of laps and blew my lead -

So I don't have gold on this event though - do I HAVE to go through the championship, and do everything all at once? Seems ridiculous, I mean F1 drivers don't drive for that long in real life, and I'd really rather not keep my PS3 on pause for 24hours just do gold this stupid thing.

Please tell me I didn't waste my time grinding these races for meager bucks?

Thanks for any help.

To get the prize car and to get the chance to get that lvls ticket, you need to win the championship.

you wasted your time. The whole point of racing a championship is to win the gold trophy for the series not just individual races.

Hate to break it to you, but a complete F1 race is about as long as the series is.

Kinda what I figured. Stupid not to have a save function for championships, also makes no sense to me to be able to gold all the events, and not get the credit.

Nah, it's about 30-45 minutes longer than an average F1 race if you include load times and everything.

At least it's easy to win, just takes awhile. Won't be the first time I wasted time/money in the GT series, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
