Hi im new
i was woundering if i keep diving my f1 car alot on gt4 will it eventually lose horsepower and get slower? because my minolta toyota was 1200bhp now its only 1187 because i used it tons of times
???capncrunch
David 2005ok but how come the minolta did?
Suprenur minolta will lose power, but when u do the oil change, of course your hp will go up. Now ur talking about the F1. If you do the F1 races championship the milage goes up in other words ur HP will go down. Even doh u cannot do an oil change after the championship. You HP will go back up where it was before. So dont worry about the F1 car and its oil changes. I wouldnt think u have to worry about it for any "Special Cars".![]()
xXSilencerXxDuring the F1 championship the replay screen says 891 hp or sumtin like that. But I think thats just the replay doing its usual screw up of the horsepower.
Master_Yodawhat is up with the replay hp mess up. everytime i see the hp for my cars its just different every time.
FamineIt sounds logical, doesn't it?
But it's not the case. It's just a screw-up. Set your units to PS and everything will be the same - garage, showroom, replay, settings, the lot.
Drift260Zjeeze, sorry. I don't bother with setting the units to metric measure because the metric systen screws me up.

Drift260Zwhat I've come up with that seems the most logical is, the HP we see in our garage and stuff is measured at the flywheel. in the replays it is measured at the wheels. I think that is why the HP numbers vary on the replay and the gargae. sounds logical.

colnagoA think the generally accepted rule of thumb is that "Wheel HP" is about 15% less than "Crank HP"...at least on street cars. Of course I'm not even going to pretend to know how much is lost on a carbon fiber drive train connected via a 5" clutch plate, but even at 10% loss, the 904 HP (if crank HP) would be around 820HP at the wheel vs. 891.
For proof of your concept, check out a VW Golf. It's been proven several times that the 180hp Golfs (US version) put down about 163HP to the wheels...or about a 10% diff. If you're seeing those kinds of % differences in the garage vs. replay, etc., then you may be right.
