Hi all

I'm new here at GTPlanet

I'm currently arranging a Formula GT championship, so I just want to see what interest I can find in it. You can download the rules by cliking here.
Currently we are 2/14 GP drivers and 1/2 SC player so there's plenty of room!
To add a little more interest there are prizes for winning the championship as I'm giving gift coupons (that means you tell me what you want, I buy it and send it to you, therefore you must add me as friend in order to recieve, if you haven't the prize will forfeit) for top 3 drivers like this:

1st: coupon worth 1.000.000 credits (as that is the highest tradeable)
2nd: coupon worth 650.000 credits
3rd: coupon worth 350.000 credits
In total that's 2 million credits!

Also, if I get enough interested drivers there will be more "underrated" championships and prizes to fight for, like:

Most advancing driver (positions gained minus positions lost): coupon 200.000 cr
Most fastest laps: 200.000 cr
Most pole positions: 200.000 cr

The cars you can select must be from New Car Dealership, as that's the only one not constantly changing, and will be non-DLC cars. You can also choose to spend the coupon on tuning parts that can be found in the Tuning Shop.

Sounds cool, What is SC? And we have a big FGT series called FGTC in the racing series section. Go check it out.

What days and times would you think of running the series?
 
Im interested in SC, but I would need to know times and dates before I commit :)
 
Good to see people are interested! The dates are every second Saturday (weeks 15, 17, 19 etc.) at around 9:00 morning gmt, but I'm willing to change time depending on when most people can race.
 
I think evenings works good for most drivers, I dont think I can do 9am on saturdays. :(

Ok, I'll talk to the other drivers and see what we can find out.. Would these times be good?

Hmm.. It could work for me, the problem is we have a Tokyo player in it too and I don't know how willing he is to get up at 4:00 in the morning.. but I can ask him as I can see that this can very well be the closest we can come to a starting time for now

Unless I hear any objections, this will be the start time of the GP: Start time

However, as there's not so many participants yet, if it doesn't get to 6 GP drivers, I'll postpone the first race by 14 days, if still too little participation it's not worth the effords and I might think of something else.

If it reaches 6 GP drivers, I'll "kill" the Safety Car and Shootout rounds as it doesn't make sence with only 6 cars on the road.

If it reaches 8 GP drivers, I'll make the season run.

The time given in my previous post, the one you qouted, find your closest city and let me know if it is possible

All the link gave me was a list of citys and the closest one to me is new york city, and it said at 8:30am
 
Then the start time for you will be 8:30 AM local time.. So now is the big question whether you're willing to get up a little early every second Saturday:sly:

Scheduled start post-poned by 14 days. If this championship doesn't get 8 GP drivers by then, I might try something different.
 
I'm in! I'll have to wake up at 7:00 a.m. on saturdays, but it seems it's gonna be fun...
