This is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. I wonder how much it would cost to get into this, because I WANT TO DO IT! :drool:

Not quite sure yet. The way it looks to be set up with a real seat and steering wheel, I think you purchase the quad for parts, then purchase the rest of the car from RMR and assemble the thing yourself. My guess is you use the motor & suspension from the quad.
 
Looks like a mini Ford :dopey:, with an old Focus ish front end and Fiesta back end.
 
Reminds me a bit of those Pilot buggy's, except obviously with a Car-Toon body.

They have a race series in Europe with similar looking things (forget what they or the race series are called), though i don't think they're based on quads... but the bodies look quite similar. Also they have several different body styles, that tend to mock RL production cars.
 
I think this kit, combined with a used ATV in good condition you could go racing for less than $10,000.

I remember catching a race on TV at the Zandvoort circuit (i think), thought i was tripping when i saw them.. :lol:, they're as cool as heck though.

I didn't read whole thing on facebook about Pikes Peak Hill Climb, but Rhys has one out there with a car body on it just showing it off I guess. It's on the Pikes Peak page.

I think they're going to start a series with it. Not 100% sure though. If there's not an official series, I'm sure you'll get groups around the country that will maybe hold some events.
 
Couple updates on this. First, you can pre-order the kits now for $2,500.

Second, to go with the Ford Focus style body, they will be coming out with a Subaru WRX STi inspired body:

I wonder if they could start an on-road road course series? Could actually bring racing to the common man outside of the oval track.

The tricky part would be getting more than 2 guys in the any area to race/buy them. I wouldn't have ever seen these outside this thread.
 
They're supposed to be starting a National racing series/championship for them. The website says details will be released in "Fall". So any time now.
