I know they probably pay well, but I think Forza 3's ad on the homepage is a bit much isn't it? It'll certainly annoy PD I think.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm sure the Forza kids over on the other site are going to have a field day about that.

(and no, I forgot to screen capture :()

I'm guessing it is just one of the adds that does business with the ad agency Jordan goes through. I also don't think he cares what PD thinks of his site since they don't pay the bills.

Type forzaplanet.net into your browser and see where it takes you.

As Justin mentioned, these ads are running through an ad network which I do not manage or control directly. I do not approve or review the ads which appear on the site. Every new, large racing game campaign includes GTPlanet here because of our highly relevant audience, so I would actually be surprised if the site wasn't a part of Microsoft's promotional efforts.

Hehe.:D
The Forza adds are being spammed on Gran Turismo Planet.
I don't think anyone really cares about it here at Gran Turismo Planet.:gtpflag:
Although I wonder how the audience at a Forza site would respond if GT was slammed all over there site...:trouble:

But Forza 3 isn't competition for GT5, so why does it matter?

Games like Little Big Planet for the PS3 (for example) are more competition, and yet you wouldn't moan it there was an ad for that on the homepage.

If you had £40 to spend on a new game and walked in to Game or HMV, every PS3 game is a potential purchase. You're not going to walk over to the Xbox stand and buy Forza 3, an Xbox 360, 12 months subscription to Xbox live, an HDMI cable, a second controller etc etc....

The two games (GT5 and FM3) are exclusive to different consoles and therefore have nothing to do with each other.

I still don't understand why so many people on here see FM3 as competition for GT5. I could understand if it was a PS3 game, but it isn't.

From my experience here, most of the audience here are racing and racing sim fans, with no "allegiance". So, it seems to be perfectly acceptable.

I don't know what's going on with people these days... Seems like some of them are scared about everything related to Forza. :/

While it is true that most of us also play other racing games, pretty much all of us have an allegiance to Gran Turismo. When other racing games come out, we question whether we should buy it or not. When GT5 comes out, it will be bought by most of us no questions asked, sight unseen.

That is not because of any allegiance, it is because GT is trusted and we are sure we will be buying a high quality product. If GT games started to fall in quality and know I would have no problem leaving them on the shelf.

There is no problem with Forza ads or Forza related content in general here. I agree that the main focus should remain on GT, but I love to play all decent racing games and as soon as I get back to my 360 I will be playing Forza.

I have to agree.

While we are all I think GT fans, we're race, and/or racing game, fans.

I have already stated that with 5 mos to go till GT5, I will be playing FM3 to help fill the void as well as some other games too.

Same here, and I've got GT5P, GTPSP, FC, SCC and NFS: Shift to prove it. ;) If the Xbox 360 would support the G25, I would have one standing here and get myself a copy of FM3. :)
