Guys,

I connected my CSR Elite and CSPs for the first time and found out that the pedals don't work at all in Forza 4 and the accelerator doesn't work in GT5. Any help?

Are the CSPs connected directly to the CSR Elite? They have to be connected to the CSR E directly not via USB on the PS3. You should have received an adapter that has RJ11 style (like analog phone plug) on one end and PS/2 Female on the other end.

The RJ11 style plugs into your CSR E's shifter port. You will also need a PS/2 cable to run from the CSPs to the CSR E's adapter cable. You need same setup for XBox, and then need to establish wireless connection between CSR E & XBox.

Did this happen after installing tuning kit you asked about in separate thread? If so, go back an check your wiring on CSPs to see if anything was disconnected.

Yes, everything connected correctly. The GT5 registers the brake, but not others. Do I need to make any initial set up?

Not needed.

Just check if the connector is not plugged in to the shifter port instead of the pedals port at the back of th wheel.

If not than you need to test the CSP only on your PC.

Do you have a pc to connect the pedals to?

You should install the lastest fanatec drivers and connect the pedals to the pc with a usb cable

Start the control panel and check if al the pedals work ok

You can check the firmware version on the wheel.

...but you need windows to test the CSPs, and to update the firmware on the wheel if that has to be done.

On a Mac you can either install Windows on Bootcamp, or use Parallels.
The flavor of windows you can install will vary with the age and model of iMac (providing it is Intel, not older PPC), and the version of OS X you are running.
The Apple Support pages will provide you with that info.

Then make sure you install the correct drivers for windows version you install (32 or 64 bit).

Go to Fanatec's support page for drivers:

I guess I must install Windows to be able to update and test my gear, will do it tomorrow.

I bought the CSPs a year ago. Is it possible there is some kind of conflict with the newer CSR Elite firmware?

Several months ago I inverted the pedals and tested with my GT2 wheel and everything worked fine. I hope it's the CSR's firmware that causes the problem. I m going to test with the GT2 again to see if it works.

Please, let me know if you have other suggestions and thank you very much for the prompt response.

If your wheel is one from the new batch, your automatically on 722 which is not available of fanatecs website yet.

722 should work fine with the CSP (mine does)

Doing a firmware upgrade would actually downgrade your wheel to 721b

Guys, please help. I spent a day and couldn't find any information. Doesn't make to contact Fanatec, too.

In Forza, once I press the brake, it shifts to reverse gear and the brake pedal starts acting as accelerator. The other two pedals don't function.

I checked the firmware version of the CSR: it's 707. I know it's very old and will try to find a Windows PC and update tonight. Do you think it might fix?

Also, is there any way to reset the wheel to its factory settings?

Get 707 off that wheel......it's flawed bigtime. Find 721 and update it pronto.

Not certain it will what ails you but when the Elite first arrived in people's hands lots of people complained about functionality issues.

Ok, I updated the firmware on the CSR Elite and tested the pedals on PC: the clutch and accelerator don't respond at all, the brake pedal works fine. Is it a bad PCB board? Should I contact Fanatec or it's something that I can fix?

Seems to me you have covered it, unless someone else has other suggestions.

If you do contact them follow these guidelines they require,
See: http://www.fanatec.de/html/index.php?id=330&lang=en

...or your support inquiry might get delayed.
Make the video they request and upload per their directions because they will ask for that for sure.
Speaking from lots of experience contacting them via email/skype for multiple products in last 12 months.

EDIT: Also they are 9 hours ahead of us 10 hours ahead of you in Glendale, CA, and may not get back to you for 48 hours in some cases, so if you don't hear back from them by tomorrow, expect mid next week because Good Friday, and Easter Monday are national holidays in Germany.

Good luck

Thank you! I am sure it won't take long time, as usually they respond promptly if the support request is followed as required.

Hi guys,

I contacted Fanatec and it was determined that the sensors are defective. They sent two new ones within 2 days, however the new sensors didn't solve the problem.

I already contacted back the Fanatec support and waiting for their reply, but wanted to know what else can cause the problem. Any ideas?
