Super happy knowing it’s finally happening. I’ve been among the many advocates for Horizon being set in Japan througout the years and I’ll be there Day One on the PS5.

I’d like to believe in PG and that they will deliver an experience worthy the japanese setting.

Keen for this, but for some reason FH5 lost my interest a lot faster than I thought it would. I hope they find a way to improve the progression systems.

That's Lake Kawaguchi! Given that Fujimi Kaido is set in Hakone, I don't think the Horizon map will feature that area, I'm going to blindly guess it will be focused more around the five lakes of Fuji, I would be surprised if they include a proper city area like people are hoping for. For me it will all hinge on what their road design is like, if it's the usual Horizon mile wide roads I don't see myself picking it up

This was a poorly kept secret to be honest. Now, let's see what Playground Games can deliver here because there's a lot of expectation riding on this game. They cannot stuff it up.

Looking forward to see what fh6 brings. But i think progression needs to be improved, having the choise of 3 starter cars in fh5 etc regardless of what you choise you get all 3 witch maked no sense at all, and cars except the branco was a bit to fast for starter cars,

Outdated car models needs to be fixed, thinking of Silvia s15, skyline r32, evo vl as the worst offenders.

As a two-time visitor to Tokyo/Japan there are some things I would really like the developers to include:

Japanese taxis (Toyota Crown, Nissan Cedric), even if many of them were replaced by the more standardized JPN Taxi model, which should also be included. Of course, a taxi mission story is a must.

Also, mini delivery trucks, and delivery missions with proper parking/unloading/delivery maneuvers would be nice.

An out of car walking mode so we can visit many of the iconic locations on foot.

More fashionable clothes and more body types for our avatar. The middle aged and elderly should be included.

A proper international airport and not the sorry strips (sorry my Mexico, but that airfield is probably used only by cartels!) we have been getting. Since Tokyo will be featured, then Haneda should be included.

If we get a big mansion to buy in/around Tokyo, it should feature a multiple-car garage, like PGR used to.

Ravens, lots of ravens. I heard they were trying to curb their populations, but the last time I went the crowing at dusk was unbelievable.

A collaboration with either Sega (Sega Rally) or Namco (Ridge Racer) for the "fun" expansion, with maybe even an optional retro graphics mode.

Those are from the top of my mind. What about yours?

Totally agree with the above especially the Sega collaboration, apart from the walking suggestion.

I feel the ability to walk around in game would just go against what FH is about. To me FH is about choosing the car you want, exploring using it and having fun whilst doing so.

For me as a quick ad hoc list of things I want to see:

1, A race against the Bullet Train (as an in game train race is traditional).

2, Every model of the Mitsubishi Outlander included.

3, As previously stated the return of Don Thompson.

4, Northern Japan to feature on the map. If we're having seasons then let's have the beautiful north of Japan included please.

A race against a train is a given, although the Shinkansen routes are more lineal. The local trains that run about 90+ kph are very interesting too. I boarded one to and from Kumano-Osaka along the coast and that was beautiful scenic route.

I would like some walking, at least around the festival sites. After all that's the main mode of moving in Japan (bikes, trains and buses running on schedule all come before cars). Or again, hopping into a motorbike would be awesome.

Bringing back FH3's Drivatar convoys could be really fun on the loops/expressways.

Similarly, Hangout spots similar to FH2's car meets in gas stations, supermarket parking lots etc.

I know crew motorsport has something similar, but freewheeling down a mountain as a challenge could be quite fun.

Some form of Autocross (in parking lots, airports etc) would be great for the slower cars (which I assume we will get in the form of kei cars and superminis).

This is out there, but Japan has aircraft carriers (not unique to Japan). They could be a cool spot for drag racing/hangout/festival site. Imagine a site that moves around every few days or week or so.

If they are really doing a hero to zero story, a car rental system to test drive expensive cars could be nice too. This can have forza editions, special pre tuned cars and rare models.

At least with Japan you don't really have to deal with a ton of different biomes like Mexico. You get a big city and then just tons of mountian roads around it.
Japan has more to it than that in termed of biomes, it ranges from subarctic in the north to subtropical in the south.
It‘s very thin in its shape, but long and stretches therefore over some different climatic zones.

Lol, the big reveal in the TGS stream was just that short clip that got leaked.
No wonder MS got mad and tried to get it scrubbed from the net.

After all the Fable delays and then that - 2026? Yeah, sure. I'll believe it when I see it.
Why? The Horizon games to my recollection, have never missed their release dates.

The team working on Fable is not the team working on Horizon. Playground Games confirmed last year their new 3rd studio is assisting their 2nd studio with Fable.

I wonder how many of the Japanese landmark models on Microsoft Flight Sim will be used by Playground?

I remember when Asobo put the Bathurst landmark in Australia and it used the Bathurst from the FM games.

I know there's also a Toyota Crown/Comfort model in there that I'm sure can be converted for Horizon.

Yes they have a fantastic record and are responsible for probably my favourite racer ever (4), but the past is the past and no one is infallible. Been disappointed by too many delays to get excited by a short CGI vid showing absolutely nothing.

Once we’re nearer release and have seen in-game/in-engine footage I’ll jump wholeheartedly aboard the hype train (as much as I can for a Microsoft product). My personal stance, I expect no one to agree and who cares.

I do wonder if the eventlab props for the gas station and the multi-storey parking were made for FH6.

I'm sure that some props used in Hakone circuit and Fujimi Kaido will be used for FH6

There is a decent chance building assets, trees and rocks could be used.

A great list.

I have my doubts but I really hope Playground take visual customization more seriously for FH6.

We know how important that is to not only car culture in general, but specifically Japanese car culture.

I think still having the old Forza Aero for example would be pretty embarrassing for a game set in Japan (plus, it's been complained/meme'd for about the last 10+ years)

It would be a disservice to the community & the culture if the customization is basically the same as FH5.

I understand that having massive amounts of visual customization for every car is not realistic. But even if it's for say 100 cars out of the roster, I'd take that.

But I'm not holding out much hope though. Please PG.

So FH6 is all but confirmed huh? Guess I had some glimmer of hope Forza would survive amid the eternal downfall of Xbox...

If anything, I am at least hopeful there will be some changes. Traffic would be a better upgrade, since I'm tired of the same old stuff we've seen. A JPN Taxi that Nacho Libre mentioned should suffice, as would the kei jidoshas. No more Transit. No more old '09 Fiesta. Drop 'em out of the game, please...

It is good to know that some legacy cars - and some really old ones - could be remodeled for this game.

Has been a long time since I left FH5 and its bland environment...

It looks like we could see the return of wristbands.

Didint like the fh4 and fh5 progression, prefered the way it worked between fh1-fh3 where you started from zero and build your way up, fh1 did this best.

Would really be amazing if you start with slower car and have to progress to get better cars etc
