Can we take a moment to appreciate the Furai?

I can only presume Turn 10 and PG reverse-engineered the old model from FM4 and added details onto it because I guarantee you it did not have doors or an engine bay, let alone the details to accentuate both in FM4.

I know it was in Motorsport 2023, but I don't much care for that. Now, what can we do to get FM4-quality liveries? Because as much as I love Itasha liveries (especially now considering the locale) I'm getting a wee bit sick of seeing them for every single car's top 20 or whatever it is.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to take all of the pictures with it...

I was trying to display some cars in Mei’s house, but the “display cars” function is locked. I own the property, but it’s not my home garage. Do I need to make it my home to display cars?

Disregard. I figured it out.

I find the chores fun though and they only take up a couple of hours a week. It's not like taking out the trash or doing the dishes. And if those cars come up as prizes then all that work would've been for nothing. I'm sceptical that that's how the devs really intend everyone to obtain those cars if they're not as dedicated as the hardcore farmers.
I have enjoyed some of the chores myself, though the danger sign was a pain to get right. I went through several cars before finally doing it with my R34 GT-R. I still would've preferred not having to do these within a limited time period though, I prefer the classic GT way (GT1-4) of unlocking cars at your own pace. But I know why PG didn't implement these playlist cars that way.

On another note, I got the message about the BE-1 bug and was given one. And then did the actual Raku Raku Express food delivery thing to win another BE-1. Which is cool, I now have one to leave stock and one reserved for modifications.

Strangely enough this was the fastest Festival Playlist season I've completed thus far. The bug that allows you to complete daily challenges before they're even active is still there (and I hope they don't patch that, it's just too good), and I think the length is just right, to the point where we don't need The Trial anymore.

They either used a lot of reference images to update the model, or they somehow got blueprints by Mazda and rebuilt the car for Motorsport/Horizon.

You can also tell its a completely new car model. Its now accurate.
It's not a new model, they've only slightly reworked it. The engine bay/engine itself is still too big and the headlights are still a bit weird. Still, having the proper Mugen bodykit is a life changer. I haven't bothered driving the CR-X in ages, but now that it's available with the accurate Pro-2 kit, I've put about 300 miles on it already.

Yeah, I'm just glad we didn't get any Itasha liveries at the launch event last weekend.

There's only one livery that I am hoping someone will make. The one designed by @P-Courty but at the moment I only have it in GT7 (the irony...) since he doesn't own FH6 yet:

Well, I'd like this one too!

@UKMikey beats bowie knife 99 in world first shocker!! 😲 ;)

I think it's hilarious that the '98 Pennzoil GT-R is a barn find. A championship winning car would never be dumped in a barn! Nissan has the bloody thing in the Heritage Collection so it should've just been a prize car.

I've never raced that vehicle in my life. Maybe it’s a tribute to my former day job. At least they got my uniform right.

All my wheelspins are like your second one. sad face 🙁

That race isn't over yet. He still has time to punt me out of the stadium.

Those @P-Courty and Hello Kitty liveries look awesome.

It's simply meant to be illustrative of the kind of rarities that 'barn-finds' unearth.

(and I can't believe I had to actually explain that)

Plus if you listen to the dialogue for each cut scene, they have a highly-implausible-but-not-technically-impossible explanation for why it ended up in a barn (most of which amount to "it fell off a truck and someone thought they could fix it up").

On top of that it was already stated a few pages back that the car ID for the CR-X was the same. Just like the EP Civic and the AE86, the CR-X got the "remaster" treatment (as in, the devs fixed some glaring issues with the model without ditching it completely) and not the "remake" one.
Or maybe for the CR-X (as it has Forzavista parts, at last) they worked on top of the base/old model, if they started from scratch it would have had another ID

Another hint is that if the car retains the same name, trim, colours and year model, it likely was remastered. The only exception so far is the R33 GT-R, and it likely boils down to either coincidence or the fact the car was re-scanned from the same (or a similar) source.

That was a great article with some awesome pictures, thanks for sharing it :) Some incredible finds over the years, imagine finding a 300 SLR or 250 GTO for real, and not in FH...

Speaking of rare cars, it appears the Gemera that PG scanned for the game is chassis #7606, the car unveiled in 2024 at Goodwood for the 30-year anniversary of the company.

Yeah, that was a fun article. And it makes sense that PG scanned the Goodwood car. I mean, it’s right there in England, might as well take advantage of the opportunity.

Yesterday I bought an Acty and built this little red chonker of a van. (That’s its name, btw. Chonker. Chonky Boi if ya nasty.) Then I did a shift at Raku Raku to get the Be-1, and I was awarded an Acty. I decided to keep it and build a tiny screamer of a delivery van. Hmm… Tiny Screamer. That’s not a bad name.

That shade of purple also seems to be the only factory color available, where I remember seeing that a shade of green is also offered.

Yeah, it's weird that purple is the only factory color, when there are at least 2 more production cars made, and I'm sure the color selection for this car is actually wild, so they could've picked a few more for the game.

The green one you mentioned is chassis #7602, the very first production spec car, and I was expecting that we'd get this one in the game, but thankfully, the livery artists already made a lot of great versions of it.

And there is also this champagne test car, which features the F10 aero package and at one point had a roofbox, and I am really disappointed we didn't get these options as customization in the game.

They did a really good work with the Car Class rework. FH4 and FH5 were starting to have some seriously strong A-Class cars for example. I'd tune them for Speed and Offroad and they'd reach 350 KM/H in a few kilometers. Now they are back to being around 200-240 KM/H. Also D-Class cars in FH4-FH5 if only tuned with power and maxxed out for its class and with 4WD could sometimes reach 200 KM/H. Now they're back to being 125-140 KM/H or slightly higher.

Some of the RWD and FWD cars seem to drive a lot better if not pushed over the limit or overtuned for power.

it's a rescan, someone already compare it with fh5 model

Has the R33 got a bug or something mine is acting like it's rear wheel drive when it's still 4WD. It spins on launch and is only using the rear wheel and also I can do a burnout In it that I definitely shouldn't be able to do.

"Under normal cruising conditions, the ATTESA E-TS system defaults to a 0:100 (fully RWD) split for optimal driving dynamics, unless slip is detected."

According to google.
Hmmm I've never noticed it in previous horizon titles it's always been a nice planted car so unless they have factored that in with this remodel in this game then that would explain why it's a mess to drive with a heap of power.

Difference is that it is now actually happening (as of about lunchtime) as opposed to the will be going to happen as of that message.

Mine's already in my inbox now, but wasn't at 3.30am, although it looks like a wasp. Unredeemed, as I want to see if I can get two :D

I'm sceptical that that's how the devs really intend everyone to obtain those cars if they're not as dedicated as the hardcore farmers.
I don't think there's much intent on the part of the devs at all. It's the same game as previous games, with some tweaks. I think they made it harder to get wheelspins because some people, representing an unknown percentage of all players, complained FH4 and FH5 gave them things too easily. Even though they've made it harder in FH6, people are still complaining the game gives them too much. There's clearly also a huge number of people who just want to have access to all the cars, based on the popularity of event lab creations that help in farming them. The devs have historically not been super keen on these event lab creations, manually hiding them from the lists sorted by popularity, even if they're the most popular, but haven't been so against them as to remove them, so they remained accessible to people who knew how to find them, e.g. via YouTube videos by the creators.

I got mine yesterday evening. What a strange quirky little car. I love it
