Milk Talk's "Enchanting Stranger" is the Dua Lipa's "Levitating" of Horizon Pulse for me this time round. The dramatic intro sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it.

For anyone like me who's curious regarding what the merry heck vocalist Yuqi "Q.i" Shinohara is singing about, the following video may help:

Oh, I like that description. When that locomotive-like chiming guitar kicks in at 15 seconds, it’s 👨‍🍳💋. Now that I’ve has a chance to read the lyrics in English… well, I still don’t know what she’s singing about. ¯\(ツ)

Gemera with a tune for offroad.
Thanks everybody for the tips, this was the one I chose for the job ^

Went for the jump just after the start, drove to the street where prologue event starts and followed the road to the festival drag strip. Used the jump there and took a shortcut after the landing, got back on the same street and then went on the streets to the finish. Took a while to get an almost flawless try, made it with 2 seconds spare.
Although, in an earlier try I was 6 seconds faster at the festival drag strip, so definitely a bit more margin with this combo

Try the highway trick. You might get a even better score.

Jordan: “The Horizon Trailblazers had you navigating at high speed, but you were not phased.”

I beat the Horizon Kaido Trailblazer, and all I got was this lousy typo.

He said something different to me but I didn't screenshot it. I had to do the Trailblazer three times because I kept approaching the finish gates side on and missing them. The third time I was at a slight angle and made it with seven seconds to spare.

Not much more to do now besides rivals, Life events, drift zones and car collection. Don't think I'll be doing much Play besides the playlist challenges.

Was it supposed to be "had" and not "have"?

I have 2 roads left to find… 2!!! Can I see anything on my map, no… I feel irritated by this…
My last two road if it can helps : on the far left under the stadium there a dirt road going to the lake. The a very easy missable bit of road if you don't go to the beach. 2nd one was on the horizon festival, the left one, there is a tiny bit of road that goes nowhere. I also advice you to look under the bridges.

More loving critiques and grumblings

  • Why are there no D-Class events?
  • This is definitely a step in the right direction relative to the original game, but it's still a bit too generous.
  • Progression feels great, but there was a point while transitioning from the Purple to Gold Wristband where I literally thought "There are too many points required for this!"
  • That goes back to my first point albeit expanded: spread out class events more. Once you've done C, that's it. Same for B. I believe A was the first class to get double events when going from one wristband to the next.
  • We're in Japan, why are there so few customization options? I'm not asking for the depth an NFS game would offer, but it feels so anemic.
  • I know, I know, licensing is a bitch and can never be escaped. The alternative could have been making kits from scratch loosely based on real-world versions.
  • Race cars are still brutally unfun to race and I don't understand how this is still a thing in the sixth iteration.
  • Sotoyama and Takashiro are the best-looking regions on the map. More of that, please. The snowy mountains are gorgeous.

I had other things as well, but I've forgotten them now.

Yeah we definitely need the option to change the interior colour as an example of more customization and speaking of car related things the convertible toggle a feature from the last game hasnt been expanded to more cars yet which is dissapointing. I hope one or both of those things get some love in the future or at the very least the convertible toggle that would only require a bit of coding. A lot of open top cars still lack that function.

I'm hoping they introduce more kits down the line. I think the car roster cuts & re-scans have unfortunately affected aftermarket parts from past games, even though there are some new mods that are a step in the right direction.

For instance, I've noticed the R34 has lost its Nismo parts when it was re-scanned, but it'd be great to see them return in the future.

What if rather than it being retrofitted with Nismo parts as an option that instead we get the Nismo Z-Tune in the future and also a Liberty Walk kit for the R34?

As someone who knows nothing about drag racing this is going well so far.

Thanks for the advice but he's already got 671/671. Check out @Populuxe's thread. Your advice should come in handy over there.

This is something us oldheads have been griping about since, what, Forza Motorsport 3?

@McLaren Is that right? Or was it even earlier? I've forgotten now.
I have been griping about it since I joined the internet in 2021. Before that I was just a silent consumer that just played games and had a passion for cars and watched videos. Also do you agree with me that the convertible toggle needs a expansion too? I feel like its a really cool feature with a lot of potential and it feels like they abandoned it while it only having been introduced with FH5.

It happened with the R34 being re-scanned as a 2000 model instead of the old 2002. I assume with the car now being more accurate, it wasn't as easy as just porting over the old body kits (although Top Secret did carry over).

I mean, that's an acceptable option as well. T10/PG had access to the Heritage Collection, which might mean they also had permission to the Omori Factory who have a Z-Tune in their personal collection.

Tin foil hat on: perhaps they have chosen to bring a Z-Tune in later to satisfy fans who want a Nismo kit R34 & bring in a car that would definitely cause players to return for it.
Tin foil hat off: it'd be a bit surprising they didn't do this with a 400R then, instead of introducing a couple new 400R parts for the R33's recent debut into the game.

I just want a Liberty Walk kit for the R34 like the one from the Tokyo Forza Horizon 6 car meet. Also if they introduce the Z-Tune they should pair it with the 400R. I think there is still a chance they could arrive in the future. They are rare and special cars. The R33 has some 400R parts already like the spoiler but not the grille or side skirts or rear bumper. Only time will tell.

Another thing they can try is this, adding new engine swaps to pre-existing cars and not all of them being better/more powerful options.

Don’t get wrong, some of the swaps some cars get currently are absolute wonders, but there’s plenty of potential out there AND potentially less work needed to do so.

For example, Ford Mustangs could get the Turbo 2.3 Ecoboost from the Focus RS as an option.

And if adding engine swaps retroactively is sounding like something they haven't done before for Forza, they actually already did so on FH5. 🧐

Both the Forsberg Racing Toyota Camary 2JZ Nascar and the Lancer Evo Time Attack had engine swaps added to them long after they were added, The Racing 7.2 V8 for both cars, plus the 1.6 Turbo Rally for the Evo.

Could even include them in a theme for each Series Update. 👍

One thing the ATS-V didnt have in a long time for a Horizon game was engine swaps and the manual shift animation. For a while it had no swaps and the wrong shift animation but they fixed that in Forza Horizon 6. I wonder if Forza Horizon 6 has any cars which are not EVs that have no engine swaps? I think every car should have engine swaps.

All speed traps, speed zones, danger signs and trailblazers are 3-starred. That just leaves drift zones.

Tomorrow. I don't want to go to sleep angry at drift zones. I'd be all cross and wouldn't enjoy it.

A little tips for drift zones. The Formula Drift cars are surprisingly quite capable to achieve 3 stars scores on the dirt drift zones. Make sure to run it downhill to help with momentum and keep the drift going

As someone who generally speaking never really had an issue with 3-starring drift zones in the previous games, some of them here are a right pain in the butt.
