Still showing for me, but the McLaren press site is really weird at times when viewing from different territories. There's nothing world-ending in there, except a spelling error which I've corrected below:

  • The McLaren W1 will be available in game from 10 September for all players owning the Car Pass downloadable content pack

Forza Horizon 6 players will soon be able to own and drive the latest car in McLaren’s ‘1’ car lineage in-game, as the McLaren W1 joins the action on 10 September.

Introduced to players as part of the British Automotive Series update for the title, the car will be exclusively available to those who have purchased the Car Pass downloadable content (DLC) pack, and added directly to their in-game garage as part of the latest release of vehicles for this DLC.

This latest addition to the in-game line-up expands McLaren’s extensive presence throughout the Forza catalogue. The W1 joins the legendary McLaren F1 and McLaren P1TM – the latter being the cover star of 2013’s Forza Motorsport 5 title – in game as ‘Legendary’ level vehicles. It is one of 13 McLaren vehicles gamers can experience, own, and customise in the in-game world, and joins the McLaren Artura as a current production McLaren available to players.

The McLaren W1 is the ground-breaking successor to two of the world’s greatest and most iconic supercars, the McLaren F1 and McLaren P1TM, and it represents the ultimate expression of McLaren’s core performance principles.

Created to deliver class-defining performance, W1 delivers sensational power, cutting-edge aerodynamics and the latest lightweight chassis technologies. The result is a supercar that delivers the highest levels of dynamic excellence and the purest driver connection.

As they're focussing on the 1s, I don't think it's strictly relevant - though it is interesting - that the Senna's appearance on the cover of FH4 isn't noted at all...

They probably don't mention it due to the potential licensing issues?

This is the first ever appearance of the McLaren W1 in a console game, with it appearing in Apex Racer, a spiritual successor of Pixel Car Racer and CSR2.

Ah very nice then, I didn't realise it had appeared in either of those lol. However I'm very glad it's coming to Fh6 though 😀

It would certainly, if taken as relevant, reinforce the notion of the car being a casualty of the reported dispute between the Senna family and McLaren.

Today's daily challenge isn't working for me. I did a day trip and a story chapter for 2 and 3 stars each but it didn't pop.

I’m having the same issue. I did the Shimanoyama Day Trip Story, both parts, got three stars in both, but nothing has triggered.

Happened to me too. Did a drift and photo story, got 3 stars but nothing happened. Maybe you´re only allowed to get 1 star, even if the daily says "at least one" 🤔 Gonna give that theory a try tomorrow

Does anyone know if there will ever be a gas mechanic included into this game? It seems like a pretty easy mechanic to add. Why do car games never take gas into account for gameplay immersion?

I would imagine the same reason they don't include paying registration fees for your cars or property taxes on your virtual garage/house.

Because that would be totally annoying in a casual racing game, at least as a general mechanism. I could imagine this, if limited to certain game modes.

Just for a left field choice, how about the MG RV8 for the British series? Of the nearly 2000 built between 1992 and 1995, about 80% were sold in Japan, which makes it especially appropriate for FH6. Just as an aside, the RV8 used the 3.9 liter version of the Rover V8 that was used in the MGB GT V8 in the 1970s. Because it was an all-aluminum engine, the 3.5 liter V8 used in the 1970s GT V8 was 40 lbs lighter than the all-iron four-cylinder used in the standard MGB.

Uh oh. You've shown pictures with the top up and down. Will they be operable in-game??? Can you tell us? How do you know?

The one car I could potentially see if they were going to dust off old carfiles that haven't been seen in a few years is the Rover SD1 from FH4, which is a big time cult car there, and which sparked the MG/Rover-Honda partnership in the late 1980s and 1990s but otherwise, perfect no notes.
