Maybe someone already pointed it out, but that's a civic FK7 1.5 turbo

The Civic EK have also a typical Kanjozoku style tuning, with the famous NO GOOD RACING logo.

For a strange reason when I get close to it in the Festival car test place, it write 1925 instead. I don't know if it's because of me playing with French subtitles but the French text localization is pretty bad sometimes. For example when the Tank Smash Horizon Stunt Parties which "Chars" which mean assault cars instead of what should be "Réservoirs".

I know it’s a bit odd, but I see that The Crew Motorfest (Ubisoft) added the 2018 Suzuki Jimny in its latest update. That’s good news and a source of hope, for those of us playing Forza Horizon 6 suggesting that Suzuki cars might hopefully make it into the game someday.

Side note: they're also getting the new Prelude and the last gen 09 Eclipse for their Season 12.

Hadn't touched the game properly in a while. Was getting a bit fed up of it, the cars in the seasonals were of little to no interest or were just available to buy in the autoshow (Which for me is an automatic "can't be bothered") so I was losing love for doing them.

Then my buddy hopped on and we played for a bit...

And got back to doing some of our "Group A" endurance races we used to do.

...and I remembered how fun the bones of this game are - when you make your own fun.

It made me realise I really miss for liveries for the AI in online races (used to be there back in the old Horizons, miss it, never works anymore) though, takes a bit of the immersion out of our lil Group A events that we've been doing since FH3. (Yes, the 124 didn't race in Group A, we make our own fantasy cars within similar rules).

I do hope that with the combining of T10/PG we get some more actual tracks and things, a racing DLC would be nice. I can make my own tracks for now, I guess - though it's very annoying having to re-validate a route every damn time you make a change. When I wanted to add the XJS to our list of allowed cars, all of the tracks had to be redone to allow the event. Ballache.

But either way, I'm giving PG the benefit of the doubt that Fable is just consuming them right now and this weird limbo period of nothing new happening and no-effort event titles is just a momentary thing.

If I wasn't so excited for Fable and it wasn't one of my favourite franchises of all time I'd be more annoyed, but honestly, it needs to do well. Horizon 6 was always going to well, let's be realistic - but if Fable doesn't, you know that'll be the end of the franchise for good - again.

It's still my second favourite FH so far - and has absolutely rekindled my love for the franchise after the blandfest (imo) that was 5, but I'm hoping they are just genuinely too busy and aren't already losing momentum.

Anyway that's my morning coffee done I'll stop rambling.

I didnt buy FH5 on release,so how long after was the first dlc released for that?Is that going to be a similair timeline for the coming dlc for FH6?

Apparently Microsoft is having an all-Xbox town hall on October 6th. I hope they tell us some of what happened there.

Mid-Series prediction time!

I'm actually going to commit to predicting a full Lotus manufacturer update this Series. We can assume the 2/Eleven will be in this update because they accidentally leaked its coming in the future, which may indicate something about what they have in mind. You could make a 40 point car update out of this, so I'm going to do just that, but for now assume that it's going to be the usual 20 point car update.

Series Reward: 1986 #29 BMW Kaido Works 318i (with the Lotus Exige Cup 430, which has numbers that add up to seven in its name, coming in as a 160 point Hard-to-Find)
Summer: 2009 Lotus 2/Eleven (Returning from FH5), 2009 Lotus Evora 124 Endurance Race Car (New-to-Horizon--has numbers that add up to seven)
Autumn: 1956 Lotus Eleven (Returning from FH4), 2000 Lotus 340R (Returning from FH5--has numbers that add up to seven)
Winter: Lotus Seven (New-to-Forza), 1976 #5 Lotus 77 (New-to-Horizon--77 looks like 11 if you squint)
Spring: 2016 Lotus 3/Eleven (Returning from FH5), 2012 Lotus E21 (New-to-Horizon; Kimi Raikonnen drove an E21 with the number 7 on it during the early bits of the 2012 F1 season, and it'd be a hell of a way to end the update.)

The 40 point bits are... pretty weak, I confess, but the 20 point cars feel very on-the-nose, if indeed this is a Lotus manufacturer update.

I just hope they don't use it as an excuse for some more staff layoffs.
Microsoft being Microsoft, I have little doubt they would force their laid off staff to announce their own firings like the Seattle Mariners did with their (now former) manager, Dan Wilson.

Outside the fact this is a terrible idea, it's also a terrible idea.

Beginning to wonder if a lot of what they wanted to add to the game is still being worked on, but in their financial situation, MS forced them to ship the game as it was, before summer to avoid GTA?

They better be, otherwise, they're really dropping a massive own goal.

I think there's actual truth to that. Every single Horizon up to now has been a holiday release, which happens to be the exact slot GTA VI occupies.

It certainly explains why Shimanoyama Drift Circuit came in looking so plain and didn't even have anything special to do in it, to say little of the lack of content we still have. But it doesn't, in my mind's eye, explain the Aftermarket dealerships (especially Italian Exotics) being so flat, nor does it really explain why any of the Series so far feel so... drab, even in comparison to FH5's launch content. For that there's no other thing to do but blame Fable.

Like, you're telling me you couldn't even do a Series commemorating Tanabata last month? I suppose Horizon Mascot Party was that but FH5 made sure to include any and all cultural holidays the moment they felt like they could. Dia de los Muertos and Cinco de Mayo all got commemorative Series, why not Tanabata or Golden Week?

There's also quite a few cars with some very odd aftermarket options, like the S13 (or whatever other car it is) having Origin sideskirts but nothing else. The game very much feels like it's about 90% complete.

People keep bringing up Fable, but I agree that it's more to do with Micro$oft trying to push as many games out the door as quickly as possible before the GTA juggernaut comes down the pike.

For this week's car facts:

1985 Luftgekhult LuftAuto 002

This is the second version of a series of Rally-raid built Porsche 911s by Luftgekhult's LuftAuto division. Luftgekhult is an experiential maketing business that celebrates the older generations of Porsche, from the 356 to the 993, as well as some classic racing cars through global events. Most recently, Luftgekhult organized an event in Japan that not only had a bunch of 356 and 911 trims, but also featured a Porsche 910 and a Porsche 956.

2002 Lotus Esprit V8

In 2002, Russell Carr, the person who designed the Lotus Europa, Lotus Evija and Lotus Emira and the current Head of Design at Lotus made this revision of the Lotus Esprit S4. Compared to prior Lotus Esprits, this design included taillights that were inspired by the Lotus Esprit S2, as well as some mechanical changes.

The final version of the Esprit V8 was marketed for the 2004 model year, in the US Market. This trim was called the "Final Run Edition" with a deeper set of differences.

I think it's certainly both! Fable's probably draining brains away from the live service when it needs decent enough updates, and GTA VI probably pushed the release date forward, necessitating the former problem.

It's... certainly a case of a Horizon being rushed to completion, but you can't honestly tell until you're in the endgame. While I do hope that we get more exciting updates with the Car Pass ending... I THINK the series after this?... it'll be difficult to tell until the next few Series after THAT.

I agree. I think I'm just going to do what I did with GT7 and put it away for a while until more content has been added. There's really no reason for me to keep coming back for the time being. After ~300 hours I've done about all there is to do a few times over.

Anyone else noticed severe slowdowns when moving the camera during in-race photomode?

I noticed that my laptop is having some sub-60 FPS drop sometimes when it didn't before. Same settings too.

...do we think this is where PG scanned the Luftgekhult? It was officially sponsored by Porsche Japan, which means it's plausible PG might've gone over there to fetch some unique Porsches.

Not me. Did you try entering it in the seasonal championship?
Nope; all I did was take it back into the upgrade shop after one Street Race, deciding I needed an extra transmission gear to tease out more top speed performance.

Well, that's what I did and got the challenge to pop ⅔ of the way through. Maybe give it a try, perhaps?
