Am watching the video now and their excitement about the light refraction through the lenses reminds me of the orange peel for FM5 that was removed before the game released.

My point is that I hope that doesn't happen again.
The refraction tech is already in FM8 and honestly looks fantastic in photo mode. I think they're reiterating it now because it's "#NewToHorizon" but I have no doubt it'll be there on release.

I am still excited for the game, but I feel that the customisation can still be a bit better than what they have shown.

For the front bumper customisation, I wish that the Forza Aero for the canards, tow hook and splitter can be split into separate custom parts, so that you can have the car with the splitter without the canards and tow hook (for example). For the rear customisation, I wish that the Forza Aero rear spoiler have more custom end plate options. This is where Gran Turismo 7 has done better on.

It's nice to see new paint options and that the tow hook and end plates can be painted, but still.

I also kind of wish the custom parts on the Forza Edition cars aren't exclusive to them. It would be cool to customise the normal cars with those parts.
I agree, and I'm reserving final judgement until we get the full game, but I get the impression that aero options will be lacking. Like the GR86 they showed really only appeared to have Forza-edition aero and a Rocket Bunny kit. Which, ugh. I get body kits are probably a pain to put in the game, but it's kind of disappointing that a car with an insane amount of aftermarket body kits gets only one or two.

See, this is what happens when you don't play much of a game because it doesn't jive with you for one or another.

I'll definitely turn on FM8 and look for that now.

Isn't it in every game since FM5 ? I took many photos in FM, FH and I'm sure it's there. :)

Is it? I'll be honest, after it was removed from 5 at the last moment...I didn't think to look for it in the games that followed because I forgot about it.

I was right about the AE-86 Forza edition.

Judging by the badge, the rear spoiler and the lights, this one's it's a 1989 K'S Silvia (same car of Koichiro Iketani of Initial D), so it's a new re-scanned car, instead of re-using the Club K'S S13 Silvia 1992.
Or I'm Wrong?
I think you're right. The one in FH5 has speakers on the rear parcel shelf, this one doesn't.

According to the article, the Viper FE is only for VIP members. Shouldn't be a problem for most of the folks here, but it will definitely cause some strife amongst players.

The PI rebalances have me very happy (and hopeful) for reasons outside of the multiplayer experience (as I very seldom play PvP modes). With how insanely fast modern-day Hypercars and factory track cars have gotten, the top end of the PI scale has gotten very cramped. I've always felt D-class was very under-utilized as well, considering it went from 100-500 PI. It makes many of the slower cars less interesting to use in events because of that, so I'm hoping this will help. I kind of wish they would bring E-Class to Horizon as well.

I was hoping they'd increase the sense of speed just a bit too, but based on the little slow-paced gameplay we have, they likely haven't changed it much.

"There will be three Car Meet locations scattered throughout Japan, including the Horizon Festival Site, the Okuibuki Parking Lot located high up in the alpine, and of course, we have Daikoku – an iconic car meetup in Tokyo City inspired by the real-world location. That’s not all; we’ll also be adding new temporary Car Meets throughout our Live Program on the Festival Playlist."

From the latest blog article, finally confirming the festival playlist returns

As much as I want to have all the cars, I don't think I want to have someone else get it for me. And even if I do, I feel like I should pay them back for the effort (even if it's only a couple bucks).
