When you get your first wristband: "<Yatta>, player-san! Like papa Hideko used to say, it's time for <oiwai>!!" [shakuhachi sample with a dash of koto]

If Ben Miller does return I hope the Playground guys release a Mike Tyson's Punch-Out simulator DLC so we can welcome him back in appropriate fashion.

Apparently the Spanish dub had better dialogue than the spanglish we got in FH5. If it gets too awful in FH6, I hope this is an option.

French Voice-Over aren't here for the moment due a disagreement Microsoft are having with French voice artists. Something known as the ''Don't touch my French Voice'' Or ''Touche pas à ma VF'' clause which an anti-AI thing in France... and that sucks 'cause I play with French Voice actings.

Istg If the dialogue goes like this, I'll genuinely turn it off, I've already cringed too much playing that "Welcome to Japan" thingy in TCM :banghead:

An interesting watch as we wait for more info.

This ended up being a decent watch. I did my own light investigation last month but I didn't actually compare geographical features together to ascertain where the screenshots were taken. Coincidentally, I also saw a mapping project on Reddit which is entirely separate from this video's own map.

Presenting my first conceptual radio for community: Horizon Ichiban

View attachment 1509184
i did the logo in 30mins in photopea please perdon it looks a bit unaligned

Rules for the radio
-focused on japanese songs, specially J-POP/J-Rock but can other smaller styles of japanese songs
-city-pop/eurobeat wont be allowed as both likely will get dedicated stadiums
-no songs launched after january 23, 2026 as it was the gameplay reveal day

As promissed, After two weeks long painful hours of resarching and setup the playlist, i had finshed it on both youtube (includes music) and spotfy

As i mention in the playlist, is a conceptual album, its not meant to be the definitive jpop edition, i tried to focus on modern popular songs and classics that are inside the japanese culture and try to be a bit out of the box with songs not eurobeat or city pop, i had also put some easter eggs that one may get it comes from if have a close eye

also thanks @Kelpy D for create a thread, i was away with the project and other irl stuff so i was unaware he had created the thread too until i checked before post just in case lol

anyways here is, please discuss your opinion in the Kelpy´s thread, im just leaving it here beacuse some people here asked to hear it and i did a promise i would send them, also i did a post in forza forums in case you can vote on it in case you liked

So after the latest FH5 update they added FH6 pre order stuff. Interestingly the texture that they added in correlation to FH6 have a codename of "PGG-78". Most likely the codename used for FH6.

Also this is a list of Manufacturers/Aftermarket Brands text strings from FM8 that didn't make appearance in game. Who knows maybe they will made an appearance on FH6, since the Innovate Composites widebody for Honda E text string was found on FM8.
  • Daihatsu
  • Live Sports
  • Mansory
  • Renegade Design
  • Radford Motors
  • INEOS
  • Future Design
  • Karbel Carbon
  • RScarbon
  • ECS Tuning
  • Carbon Creations
  • Artwork Bodyshop
  • Urban Automotive
  • Larte Design
  • Red Bull Racing
  • NETA
  • RE-Amemiya
I have decided to dig thru the FM23 files one last time, and I'll start by rereading the string tables. More parts from the same file that had these brands mentioned were not recorded. Here are some of them.

There's some reference to Mitsuoka? or not?

Sorry if this is a wishlisty response.
No mentions in FM23's string files, and texture files.

If true, The Mazda RX-7 FD re-scanned can be an Efini one.
let me speculate about those brands: Eunos might open the doors for the Cosmo, or the Preso (MX-3), Euro Pecha it's a bodykit brand from Germany, specializzes in AMG, BMW and also Jaguar F-Type (there's a mod on Assetto Corsa with that bodykit), Kamei is another german tuner/aftermarket brand.
Rodin (F-Zero? Sintura? that would be great to have. and "de facto" 1st New Zeland brand in videogames), for Tom's hoping for the Tom's Angel (a man cran dream), Tommi Kaira would nice to see the ZZ returning in a modern videogame, plus it would be neat to have also bodykits for Subaru, Nissan and also Mercedes-Benz too from this brand.
Zagato? they put also Zagato? Autech Stelvio Zagato and Autech Gavia Zagato? (another dream)

There's some reference to Mitsuoka? or not?

The music sounds like Morricone/Isashi. Someone have found the OST used in this video?
They nailed the japanese atmosphere. I can't wait to play just to see the scapes and the real locations used and of course to shoot tons and tons of pics :-)

Have we gotten conformation that this will be the first digital only Forza Horizon game for all platforms? Horizon 5 on PS5 was digital only to my knowledge.

As for vehicle textures, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm, 1984 Honda City and 2022 Honda e textures were spotted in FM23's files, maybe the FL5 Civic.

Now, I'll have to update the TCRF article for FM23.

There's also some other cars or only those three?
There are more, including a lot that TGR55 mentioned way back in the FM23 discussion thread. I was able to discover the following:
  • 2023 BMW X3 M Competition
  • 2024 BMW X4 M Competition
  • 2020 BMW X6 M Competition
  • 2025 BMW XM
  • 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170
  • 1990 Fiat Panda 4X4
  • 2024 GAC Trumpchi GA6
  • 1986 Honda Accord Dropdeck
  • 2025 Honda Prelude
  • 2022 INEOS Grenadier
  • 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera
  • 1967 Mazda Luce RX-87 Rotary Coupe
  • 1998 Mitsubishi Pajero Io
  • 1993 Nissan NX 2000
  • A Subaru Wilderness badge, the model is unknown
  • 1994 Subaru Vivio R-XR
  • A Toyota Glanza badge of some sort (I'm thinking the 1998 Toyota Starlet Glanza V Excerent Package)
  • 2023 Toyota Prius Prime
As for images, I'll upload them on FM23's TCRF article.

TAITEC is probably the Super TAITEC that produces parts for the Honda NSX NA1 and NA2.

EDIT:
A Pajero IO? Sold here in Italy as Pajero Pinin, it's a car I never see in videogames, and I have droved one IRL. Pretty solid cute Offroader.

The final shot looks like the Itsukushima Shrine
the Toorii (how this type of struture is called, in japanese: 鳥居, speaking is tow-ree or tou-ri) is known for drying up during certain parts of day/year and then getting filled with water again, is treated as if was some type of "door that opens and closes to the other world" i wonder if depending of the season, we will be able to drive through them without need eventlab or glitches for it

1770678607717.webp

And this shot contains the Meoto Iwa, or "Wedded Rocks," which are two sacred rocks located off the coast of Futami, in Mie Prefecture, Japan.
just a quick correction, while the most popular (and the one seem in the trailer) is at Futami Okitama Shrine in mie, there has some others Iwas across japan, wikipedia list various of them

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meoto_Iwa#National_Married_Couple_Rocks_Summit

the Mie one intrestingly has a toori and in the wikipedia list has another in the list that also fit both the description of both Itsukushima and Futami-Okitama in Itoshima, Fukuoka, it is called Futamigaura

1770680601927.webp

about locations, the itsuukushima toorii would be the landmark more on south of the map so far, and also interestingly, it is on a island nearby Hiroshima, far beyond south of Osaka/Kyoto

Inrestingly, the Itsukushima Toorii wasnt shown, i assume due it is in Fukuoka on very south of japanese main island

Two more that are notable that I feel you should’ve touched on

The 2024 Koenisegg Gemera (on TCRF)
And also in the same file the logos for the 2023 GAC Trumpchi GA6

You can drive through torii gates in Fujimi Kaido in FM (see attached pictures). A torii gate is a passage to and from sacred space, in that case, the mountain and the forest. Anyways, I expect most of them will be out of bounds for any driving shenanigans in FH6: They will be either indestructible or located behind barriers invisible or otherwise, since most of them are for pedestrian use only.

depends of how PG handled the licencing deals like FH5, each shrine has its rules, and in FH5 we had two temples, one you could explore inside and climb him while the another complex was highly blocked and mostly was for photos and a special drag strip

in shinto faith, the tooriis are known to be a passage between our world and the other world (also known as gods/kamis world), in most pedestrian tooriis, people are supposed to avoid walk on the center so the kamis can safely pass in the center, actually disobey this manner is considered harbinger of bad luck

but usually the big ones are fine tho, the 2 big ones on fujimi kaido are based of the ones around Hakone where people walk and drive across them normally, in fact those same types were also featured in MG Ghost as well
