Is that a stadium at the end there?
it is, it seems (like mexico FH5 Stadium) it is based of the local soccer/football stadiums

i am suprised they had not made one based on oita big eye or Sapporo Dome tho

i wonder if they will use baseball stadiums tho, Baseball is far more common and larger in Japan (sapporo dome was duo use baseball/soccer stadium) FH5 had 2 baseball stadiums and one of them seemed ready for eventslab but never was implemented inside of the stadium

also there has horse and motobike racing ovals that could be easly used for cars as well

Seems nobody spotted (or mentioned) the Honda N600 badge in the FM8 files
i hope it it means the N-One is coming

I hope this is finally the game that the Wagoneer comes back. It'd almost make up for the sadness of not having the Sagaris in-game (should they cut it, for whatever reason). It was "leaked" in a FH4 event icon ages ago but it never did make it to that game.

Sidenote: what an absolute shame that the Pontiac Aztek and Honda Odyssey are stuck in Motorsport, of all games.

It's still not fun, and we've been doing it since 2019. Doesn't matter if the grind isn't hard, I'm sick of it.
Of course it isn't fun. It's just a chore. I didn't mind it at first in Horizon 4, but in Horizon 5, I was so sick of it, but I know it will come back in Horizon 6....Ugh.

Anyway, looking forward for the car reveals, it's about time. I do hope some come back from previous Forza games like the Aston Martin V8 Vantage V600, Commodore VL Group A SV, HSV GTS-R, Porsche 928 GTS, Hudson Hornet and so on. As for the Aztek and Odyssey.....Not gonna happen I'm afraid.

I came into FH4 late so i ended up doing 2.5 years of FH4 weekly Forzathons followed by 3 years of FH5 weekly Forzathons.

As a result I was burned out twice on FH5 and had to stop playing for long breaks. Which is why I'm missing various Forzathon cars and deliberately stopped playing FH5 as soon as the updates ceased. Otherwise I would be up against 8.5/9 years of doing the same thing every, single, week.

This is something that PS5 players are about to encounter for the first time as they are going straight from a year of FH5 Forzathons to 3+ years of FH6 doing the exact same thing (probably).

It doesn't matter how easy something is, doing it for 4+ years every week is going to get tedious for most people at some point.

Not if they play GT7.

Not if they play GT7.
The thing with the GT7 weekly challenges etc is there is very little FOMO attached - all you lose out on is credits and approx every 3 weeks a free car. But you can still buy that car with credits.

If you miss out on a FH6 car you might NEVER see it again. I missed 2 Extreme E cars in FH5 and I don't think these are ever coming back.

It's the FOMO part that causes the problem, for many people.

But the FOMO in GT7 comes with the timed used and legendary cars and even the weekly challenges won't pay for many of the legendary cars, so players have to grind the SAME races. Just have to do a YouTube search to see how much of an issue it is.
The cars will come back in time, but you will still need to grind to get many of them.

Eventually, like FH4, FH5 will get a dump with all cars added to the backstage pass. This will definitely include all of the Extreme E and everything else needed to hit 899 cars in your collection.

The best thing to do if you are suffering FOMO burnout is just to relax, collect backstage passes, and wait a while. Enjoy FH6, come back to FH5 later once they update the backstage pass and collect all the missing cars.

P.S. I personally did around 1 year of FH4 weekly challenges, then 2 years of FH4 and FH5 simultaneously. Afterwards a few more months of FH5 weekly challenges until they stopped. By that point I had collected all but ~20 of the FH4 cars and all FH5 cars. When FH4 reached EOL and the backstage pass was updated I had plenty of FH4 Forzathon points to just buy every missing car immediately.

My verdict on FH6 FOMO will depend on what it is. If they do the equivalent of requiring 40 points to earn FOMO cars each week, like at the start of FH5, then I'll probably not bother trying to keep up. If they stick to 20 points to get every FOMO car per week then I will have no issue with a gentle 20 minute run and will probably aim for a complete collection over time.

Anyway, after hitting 810 cars in FM7, 750 cars in FH4 and 899 cars in FH5, I feel like I've done well with the whole car collection and FOMO and won't mind if FH6 doesn't go the same way as FH5.

i somewhat feel they will use "the aftermarket" cars to replace the festival playlist update. they will add some cars straight to the store and some straight to "after market" and then make you go get them on those insteadi
updates will still happen, but i feel they wont force you to play it like used to be before

the retention will be based in hype the cars, hype the updates overall and make you farm the money in order get the cars
you needed to do it anyway if you wanted to wait, needed to get some money and try have your luck in the infamous auction house

Maybe another drop of cars coming soon?
About 35 cars a week if they drip the list till about preload week (prolly by May 11 at least), or showcasing at least one New to Forza car that has been seen in the Dev Direct, or yet to be seen in gameplay footage.

last time how many days was before we knew the full list? for FM i think that around a week or so we knew already all the initial car roster
Safest bet I can say is at least a few days before preload. FM23's preload was about 2 weeks before early access release (Sept. 20, 2023 vs Oct. 5, 2023) iirc. FH5's preload was on Oct. 22, 2021 vs Nov. 5, 2021 (early access).

I'll guess May 7 will be preload period for FH6, with the possible reveal of 4 car pass cars thru the files.

i mean they will put some type of thing to keep players in the game, it wont be as annoying it was on FH5 and FM but still gonna be there beacuse they need hold that player numbers by their dear life
so, i belive it will have some type of thing to keep you each month, be the in-game economy factor or YOU MAY LOSE THIS CAR FOR NEXT 2 YEARS factor

Maybe the way to go is to have the Forzathon shop be like a second Autoshow, in which you can only spend FP.

After a playlist ends the new cars from that playlist go into the Forzathon shop where they can be bought (as many copies as you like) at any time.

That way if you want the car on Day 1 you still need to do the Festival Playlist but if you missed out or want another copy you’ll have to wait till it shows up in the shop and just use points from any playlist to get it.

I’m sure whatever plan they have for live service has already been designed though and they’re unlikely to budge no matter how many votes a forum thread gets.

That's always how I've envisioned it. You could get Forzathon Points from doing Festival Playlist events or completing Accolades. The new cars would still be prizes in the playlist, but then could be added to the Forzathon shop permanently a month or two later. Backstage Passes could even be integrated; they would grant you one car each from the Forzathon shop. Everything feels so separate from each other and it'd be a lot more streamlined this way, in my opinion.

Damm, the landscape/enviroment it's pure poetry. I will made tons and tons of pics on those scenarios with my favourite cars.

I dunno but that stadium looks like Ajinomoto Stadium (Tokyo Verdy Kawasaki's Stadium)

Horse Racing Oval? oh no... if they really put something like that, a certain gacha game comes into mind :-P

I'm just ready to see more views or video shorts of the city scape. When I think of Japan I think of Shibuya, and the streets of Tokyo. Tight alleyways, hundreds of small cottages and apartments the line major streets and highways, many overpasses and train stations, and tall neon lit buildings in the downtown areas.

Ajinomoto is also the FC Tokyo home, although Verdy also plays some games on olympic stadium that share some few designs with horizon stadium as well

more intresting is that, unlike both, it have a side that is totally open and isnt on the middle of a urban area unlike both

is due the gacha game created to promote horse racing owned by a kentucky derby podium horse owner why i think they would decided to put it lol, but oval racing started on such types of tracks and this why i also think they would put as well also the JRA loves free promotion lol

That sounds very similar to the tickets system in The Crew Motorfest which I like.

I would be happy with that approach, though I agree with you that whatever is happening for live service isn't going to change much at this late stage.

Thing is, the Festival Playlist cars in FH5 were always obtained with, like, only about twenty minutes (or so) of play if they were 20 point rewards. I had a workflow of sorts figured out that would take me about thirty, tops--so a high-skill player with just about every car in the game can spend about that long in the game every week and still keep up. In that sense, it's very respectful of the player's time if they remember to log in at least once every week. Thus, I don't really see any reason for them to abandon the existing Festival Playlist mechanic established in 5--unless they proceed to completely change it in the name of maximizing engagement and MTX sales.
