So now that One Battle After Another has won Best Picture, any chance we'll see this little fella as a Horizon Edition? I know, probably not unless PG has some real wiseacres on their team, but still. It's a Sentra, it fits the setting, and maybe they can reuse some Tsuru assets in a pinch.

Has anything been said about Wheelspins or how they work in this game, yet?

Because I just had an idea that they could have made them like a Gacha machine instead, and you don't know what you've won until the little capsule rolls out of the machine. Could be parts, could be cars, could be small models that could go on a shelf in your garage.

Please... not parts.

So, there's this Forza Horizon 6-meme I saw a while back, of the scene when Leo does the "Mexican whistle" in One Battle After Another. I looked everywhere, but couldn't find it again, so I remade it myself. Anyway, here it is 😂

@ykiki Getting random parts from wheelspins, that I have absolutely no use for, gives me severe GT7-ptsd 😂

@Ak1504 Interesting! I know that FH4 had a track in Edinburgh that was a homage to a track from the classic Xbox IP Project Gotham racing. But a track from Gran Turismo, which is very much associated with Playstation and not Xbox, is unexpected. I'm not complaining though 😊

Yeah, when you work hard to earn a 5 or 6 star ticket, only to "win" an exhaust for a specific car you'll never own, and with a value of 4,500 credits... am I jaded? Just a bit.:ouch:

Granted, that's GT and this is FH, but I don't even want to think about it.

Do you think they'll add EventLab/Garage props in wheelspins?

Funny how I'm not quite as wowed by graphical advances (even though the design so far has been impressive) as I am by the prospect of a whole bunch of new ways to battle on assorted touges and shutokos and such. The new TXR got me thinking about how much I love one-on-one battle racing and if there's more of that, then I'll be pretty happy.

And now to move on to a new complaint: FH7 better be in Scandinavia.

I think 4 permanent Time Attack circuits is a pretty good balance, could’ve felt a bit odd if the whole map was littered with race tracks.

Also of the 2 we’ve seen, I think the designers have done really well capturing the grassroots style of circuit that we know through Ebisu and the like, I do hope the other 2 have their own unique style to them though. I guessing the Legend Island circuit might be a bit more modern maybe? seems fitting

I wouldn't be surprised if one takes influence from that gorgeous driving resort track that opened in recent years.

That Would be quite amazing to have in a videogame.
There's a not so well optimized mod on Assetto Corsa

Bennett notes that, in Forza Horizon 4, winter wasn’t just an immediately recognisable visual change compared to other seasons – it also represented a profound change in car handling characteristics compared to other seasons.

“We made the decision to have the roads covered in snow and ice, and that was somewhat based on the fun that we’d enjoyed with Blizzard Mountain on Horizon 3,” says Bennett. “And I think that was pretty fun at first but, I think as we found with time, players eventually started to grow a little bit tired of all the roads being covered in snow all the time.

“So we wanted to learn from that and think, ‘Okay, how can we approach what is authentically Japanese – which is a predominantly snow-covered visual in winter in our version of Japan – yet also not penalise players that predominantly want to drive on asphalt?’ So I think we came up with a really great compromise there, where we leveraged what we saw within the reference, which is, 'Hey, the Japanese are actually pretty good at keeping the roads clear.' So, our asphalt roads, generally those are clear from snow. But, if you start to venture off road onto the gravel roads, the dirt roads, we keep a bit more snow on those.

“So if you’re someone that’s seeking that more rough and ready off-road feel, you’re going to get that more authentic snow experience in winter. And then the really cool thing that we’ve got is, because we have our new Alpine region, we’ve got snow year round up there. You go there any season and you’re experiencing Blizzard Mountain again, and that’s really cool. So, up there, all the roads are covered in snow; you can throw on some snow tyres, have a lot of fun, get in the offroaders. If that’s the experience you’re looking for, you can find it there, whatever the season. Yet, if you’re someone who doesn’t really want to spend a lot of time on snow roads in winter, you’re not going to have to go through that experience.”
Boo. FH4 still the GOAT.

They really need to get higher bit rate footage. This looks 720p even at max quality on Youtube (1080p Premium). The whole video looks like vaseline.

With the evolving world approach the team used to great effect in Forza Horizon 5, there’s also an opportunity for Playground to look at doing more with this in the future.

“Yeah, potentially, for sure,” says Bennett. “I mean, we’ve carried forward that technology to the next game. I think we feel that was one of the best investments that we made on Horizon 5.

“And we’ve gone to some lengths to ensure that we’re able to do a bit more with that this time around, as well. Moving forward from the Xbox One generation of consoles has freed our hands a little bit there to give us some more potential. So yeah, we’ve learned how to celebrate key moments through the year based on the previous game, and I think we’ll definitely look forward to exploring those opportunities through the live program on Horizon 6 as well.”
Interesting that they have not mentioned Festival Playlist by name yet. Evolving world seems to be back though, and stronger than before.

This may sound pessimistic from me but while I'm looking forward to the game with eagerness...

I hope there'll be an option to not see other people's Quick Chat messages. I can only fear what the track meets and time attacks are going to be like being filled with messages like "You're too slow!" or "Nice driving." or simply "LOL" when someone has a hard time keeping up.

Wonder if that means they're going to be reverting to something more like FH4, where the live service content was awarded based on Series completion percentage rather than Playlist points. FM2023's system was basically that, but that works well for a circuit racer, not so much an open-world game.

It looks much better. I was skeptical at first about the presentation of information. We still don't have a game map, nor a full list of vehicles. But after the previous installment from IGN, this looks like an improved feedback from the players and a return to FH4, which will be noticeably optimized for the biome environment.

From memory, they didn't talk much about post launch support for FH4 and FH5 until much closer to release. So I wouldn't personally be expecting to hear about anything like Festival Playlist at this stage anyway.

I'm looking forward to proper seasons again...

Despite it's a bittersweet confermation that in winter there's only offroading cover in snow, at least the season are like FH4 and not like FH5; IMHO was a huge stepback after the beauty of certain season scenarios in the good ol'Britannia.

And now I'm interested about the customizzation, hoping to see new bodykits, some new forza aero and other things (some other cars too confrimed)
