I certainly hope so. We need many more top down options especially for models that have the option hidden in the files in FH5 but aren't enabled for no reason.
The Mercedes R172 will be in Forza Horizon 6 as well but its the facelifted SLC 43 which means its a new scan and a newer model so it will probably have the toggle convertible option. I still think the SLK 55 pre-facelift should coexist alongside it and too have the option. As you may know the R172 was mentioned in the wont fix or by design list in Forza Horizon 5.

Good catch, thanks! Though I'm not sure I understand the difference between Treasure and Barn finds. :lol: Not that I'm complaining.

Would be swell if we also had body kits from companies that aren't Rocket Bunny/Liberty Walk or a knockoff thereof. The overfender trend is kind of dead now, anyway, so it actually dates the game a little bit.

And how do you know that its the Final Edition?
I didn't say I was sure it was the Final Edition, and I'm no expert, but as far as I know, the Final Edition, for example, had carbon-fiber mirrors.

EDIT: But as far as I know, the Final Edition was mainly available in Sun Yellow, and the standard version could also have carbon fiber mirrors, so I’m not sure which version this is.

Nice to meet you here. Did my research and all SLC 43s have black mirrors as standard whereas the non AMG models use body colour as standard. We will see the truth when they update the official list and from what I have seen the Final Edition model has Final Edition stitched on the seats and Edition applied on the steering wheel. Also non AMG models have SLC Final Edition badges on the fenders of the car. If I had to take a guess the remaining cars (still more than 100 to go) may include the pre-facelift R172 SLK 55.

And if you didnt see the X6 M Competition anywhere how do you know its coming?

It’s nice to meet you, too. I just happen to know more than some people. 🤪🤪 Just kidding, I’m not Draugnimir. I saw your question and the car in the video, so I decided to answer based on what I know. If I find a shot of the X6M somewhere, I’ll let you know. Getting back to the Mercedes, Forza rarely adds limited-edition cars, so I think this is just a standard SLC.

I wonder if treasure cars are the ones we can find on driveways and the like, such as the heavily modified Mx5 from the first reveal.
Are the treasure cars the Tokyo equivalent of barn finds?

Nice to meet you even if you are not him. I still hope its one of the later SLC 43s as they have a more powerful engine than the earlier SLC 43s. So far the SLC 43 has only been featured in Top Drives.

I'm just hoping for more Mercedes models — the new A35/45 AMG, the new G-Class, S-Class, CLS, GLS, GLE etc.
All I am hoping for is that the SLK 55 does not get replaced with the SLC 43 and that they will coexist.

It is kind of refreshing to see a few cars like the BMW 850CSI, or GMC Syclone, be part of the base game instead of being update cars this time around.

Also, it does not look like any major brand is abscent. We still have yet to see certain brands, like Bugatti, but those aren't brands that have 10+ cars in the game.
I'm still waiting on Suzuki to return to the Forza franchise (it was featured in Forza Motorsport 4). I own a Swift Sport ZC33S and I would love to see it in the game someday.

On an unrelated note, AR12 went through all the rims available in the preview build (which I'm going to assume is all the rims that will be available on launch day).
May compile a full list if I find the strength to endure his yapping at .25x speed and nobody does that before me, but here's four very important takeaways:
  • some manufacturers that have been in the game forever have had their catalogue greatly expanded. Notable standouts are Asanti, Lexani, Motegi Racing, TSW, Tenzo-R, RO-JA;
  • we also get three classic RS Watanabe wheels: the R-Type first seen in FM23 is joined by the F8 and, to my absolute surprise, by a rare JDM gem, the GR8;
  • overall, the selection of wheels available is not only wide as a sea, but also as deep: there's enough choices for rally cars, vintage vehicles, and other kinds of builds that have long suffered from a lack of suitable shoes in Forza. This is not, however, to say that all that glitters is gold, because...
  • there's still very few wheels that are available w/ deep dish options for staggered builds. Oh, well.

A deleted Instagram post from last year confirmed the brand is coming back.

Some interesting details in this video -- maybe not a whole bunch of new info, but he does mention that four-speed transmissions are back (though I don't know if they are available for every car -- I sure hope they are for the sake of tunable vintage builds), and he does show off a spontaneous head-to-head race, which felt a lot more like an afterthought in previous Horizon games but hopefully has more fleshed-out aspects here. Other than that, the handling still sounds versatile and enjoyable for those of us who want to veer just a little closer to the sim- than the -cade feel.

And the more I see of the map and the game world, the more confident I am in calling this the best in the franchise, and maybe the most appealingly diverse racing open world I've ever seen. This might be Elden Ring for people with opinions on which gen of Skyline is the best.

Man, maybe it's just me, but it feels like they still have just slightly off rim modeling. Sometimes, the spokes look like they flare a little too outward or like the TE37s, the spokes don't have any curvature to them (pretty sure in its case, also b/c it's been recycled through multiple games now). It is tricky to compare to real life wheels, since wheels can change per car's desired specs, but it's something that catches my eye time-to-time. Not a deal breaker by any means, more like a little itch to scratch b/c there are also rims that do look nicely modeled.

Ah, it's definitely not just you. At least, they have improved in that regard in the past few years. I wouldn't be surprised if that's because they started using manufacturers' CAD/CAM data (I very much doubt they would sink the necessary time and money into laser scanning wheels).

Still, some wheels introduced to Forza on FH5's launch were still a bit off - the Work Equip 40, in particular, springs to mind.

R-Type Wats! Finally! Black Wats are to classic JDM cars as Cragar S/S wheels are to American muscle cars. They’re always the right wheels. Always.

Wow plenty of fun roads for me to test my rides.
One thing I’ve haven’t seen here, but have seen on Discord is confirmation of another Forza Edition car.

Taken the Fairlady Z FE’s build from FH5 and amped it up abit. 👌😉
What the hell is this? Looks like a monster truck.
I really want to drive the Vivio.

Can't wait to rip around Tokyo in these.
