True, normies won't notice. But what separates Forza apart from other open world arcade racers is the hardcore attention to detail spawned from having the detail obsessed Motorsport series at its core. No other game has that unique element which pushes Forza Horizon far beyond other games like NFS and The Crew motorfest etc.

A lot of players started on FM and transitioned over to FH, they're still just as car obsessed and they notice those inaccuracies. Appeasing the hardcore base that's been with you from the start is the smartest thing PG could do. So hats off to them

I’m also looking forward to the clothing reveals. I’m hoping they will give us happi coats.

I agree. The fact that PG are even willing to acknowledge some models may not be up to snuff and are willing to fix it is why I keep playing their games.

I'll admit this looks pretty solid.

I'm less convinced about the more rural environments. All of the roads are very wide (like 20' travel lanes!) which is very hard for me to reconcile with Japan which has uncharacteristically narrow roads basically everywhere.

That's like a 10' travel lane on a highway. Look, I get that this game is designed for mass appeal, but so are mountain bike parks, ski resorts, and pools. We still get black diamond trails & the deep end. Why don't PG reserve some of the map for genuinely difficult roads? It's an open world...if people don't enjoy or struggle with that portion, they won't use it. Every FH map so far has been 100% shallow end of the pool, and it's really disappointing. A 1500hp hypercar is not going to be fun on a genuinely tight and twisting mountain pass in the same way that a 150hp Corolla is not going to be fun on a wide open highway. Why does the game prioritize the former completely?

I completely agree with you, but I think the majority of the people who play FH just pick whatever is the fastest/most expensive car and just wreak havoc. Streamers also do this kind of thing, so I think they're mostly just designing the game around the people who play it the most, unfortunately.

The roads in FH1 have yet to be topped, IMO.

There are some narrower roads. In Hokihoshi's video, posted right below your post, you can see some of them (1min onwards). They're not quite "rally stage" narrow, but closer to real road widths. Similar to the rally expansion roads.
