I'm worried that Bugatti might be missing. There’s no sign of the EB110, Chiron, or Veyron in the leaks. I wonder if it's a licensing issue due to the change of ownership, now that Bugatti is in Rimac's hands.
FM2023 had Bugattis just as they were already owned by Rimac.

I think it's just that the preview has basically no supercars. The cars that spawn in the world would all be in the performance class of the "starter cars" they had access to. Seems all the cars revealed by the preview are A class and down (excluding time attack, FE, and aftermarket cars).

Subaru FE looks awesome 😍

The preview build is also said to have cars inaccessible to that build driven by Drivatars. It could also be that the others (hypercars, SUV's, and other such vehicles) are being saved up for a much larger reveal, hence the reason why very few, if almost, any, are being shown.

So far, from what I've counted from what I've seen and heard in the Forza forums, plus a car list I curated, there are 416 regular cars (not counting DLC's or Forza editions), so at least around 140 to go.

True it did over 550 cars so it may be a bit more than 550.

There are some narrower roads. In Hokihoshi's video, posted right below your post, you can see some of them (1min onwards). They're not quite "rally stage" narrow, but closer to real road widths. Similar to the rally expansion roads.
Since I made that post, I've seen some other videos (namely the GR Yaris MGTV video) where the roads are acceptably narrow and challenging looking, so my biggest concern is alleviated. The physics look a lot better than the last entry I played, which was FH4, so that should also help things a lot.

I'm betting that M2 FE is the one with the CS kit. Could be wrong, I know some people here are dying for the CS...

You're correct it was that so unfortunately no CS.

Wait where is the Ferrari J50 Preorder Edition? We know its pre-tuned so there will likely be the normal one ingame as well.
I didn't include that either as there isn't really anything special about it.

Not to start another "where's my fave" discussion, but has anyone compiled a list of the cars that have been in (nearly) every Forza game, allowing for licensing, yet haven't shown up here yet despite being extremely likely? I'd be shocked (and appalled) if there's no Porsche 914/6 or Lancia Stratos or Alpine A110 1600S or that little beast in my avatar, but I won't breathe easy until I know for sure.

(And if they could bring back the Oldsmobile Toronado and port the Pantera from FM2023, that'd be cool too. OK, wishlist over.)

Also noticed the old F-150 in that list. Being a big Ford guy, glad that's coming back. It's my favorite cruiser and off-roader in FH5.

In case people don't realise, this is HokiHoshi's new preview video.

At this point I feel like the story in a Horizon game is something I just kind of put up with and occasionally get a kick out of, like the game tribute storyline in FH4, before I get used to the environment and the progression and retreat back into something a bit closer to a (very light) headcanon. The progression still sounds good, the vibe seems vivid and fun, and as long as I can just do whatever at my own pace, I'm satisfied. I don't need some goofball '80s-movie Darius Flynt-style villain to motivate me, much less some dated tacky 2003-style hey bro you want to test me bro I'll friggin' end you bro street racing cliches. TXR-style lore can be fun, but it's not exactly a priority for me. Also if the dialogue gets too much, I can just turn it off, right?

Cars update 397
It is weird that they showed the 2016 R8 in the recent promo, but didn't add it here along with the other cars from the promo.

Also, the Pagani Huayra is still in the wrong spot.

I see the Mazdaspeed 3. Could we finally get our hands on it?

Pretty sure this list is playable cars, so yes.
