This launch trailer gave me the same feeling as the intro and initial drive in FH2. It feels festive and like you're actually arriving at a big event or festival IRL.

Back in 2014, the moment when I first saw the festival in the distance in FH2, with the fireworks and sunset as a backdrop, it gave me chills. I haven't felt that hyped for a Horizon game since then... until now!

Another remark: The slantnose bodykit for the RX7 looks absolutely amazing. The flatnosed Porsche 935 models are some of my all time favourite cars however, so I might be a bit biased 😂🤷‍♂️

I honestly haven't been this hyped for a Forza Horizon game since the last one came out, lol.

Lol also at the people in the YouTube comments complaining that the game isn't launched until it comes out on their hardware. It's not like they're going to delay the trailer until September, lads.

Only 2 weeks now till the big day.
No, not the launch of the game, obviously I'm talking about the launch event at the British Motor Museum on Saturday 23rd May.

The first 2,500 visitors get a limited edition wristband (I can put it in a frame with my Orange Box GTSport and London GT7 ones :D ).

I'll post a reminder on the launch event thread, but the link for details and tickets is below:

I hope steam preload starts this weekend rather than week of. Can't wait to drive, especially after that trailer. Hope the servers don't fall apart like last time.

I do wonder when they will start talking about the Festival Playlist, since it unlocks right after the 1st wristband. There will likely be a Series 0 for the early access period and Series 1 for launch week.

I hope we get the stock version of the green delivery truck.
it was confirmed long ago that it will, i dont remember the model name though

it seems that the new staff is more focused on repeat what worked with Horizon than reivent the festival like mark brown staff tried at early FH5 days

the cinematic intro, some music from FH4 coming back remixed, potter robinson music and other small details makes me feel this way about thsi game

Holy crap! That really being back some good memories. I may need to play some FH2 this weekend.

These gas stations are going to make for a great location to hang out with other players and get some great group photos.

Can’t wait to drive this tiny monster.

Looks like they couldn’t get Degs back. That’s a shame. He made for a fun replacement for London Electricity, both in Horizon and the Hospital Podcast. I’m sure this Dynamite MC will be a fine replacement, though. And happy to see Chris Goss back for the fifth game in a row.

The next thing I want to see revealed is character and clothing options. Since we’re in Japan, I’ll probably finally use an Asian avatar.

The thing that tripped me up about this video is the declaration that all these cars in the parking garage meetup are "represented in-game," which is interesting because the top-floor cars like the Sunny B210, TommyKaira Mercedes, and Corolla wagon haven't been spotted in-game yet, much less announced. And there's that Liberty Walk F40 again, too. (Cue Kevin Garnett from 'Uncut Gems' shouting "why the [CURSE WORD] would you show me something if I couldn't have it," though it'd be more appropriate if there was, say, an Opel GT there.) Maybe this is stuff that's still in the pipeline.

Hopefully that Hi-Ace too lol. It's not Japan without a Hi-Ace or 40 Hi-Aces

EDIT that's a Nissan NV Van

I’m still on my original Series S. I think I bought it in 2021.
Funny story about how I got mine:

I was looking for a Series S. GameStop, nothing. Walmart, nada. Target, zilch. But of all places... RC Willey had ONE left. Turns out someone preordered it, but never came to claim it. A month at least IIRC. So, they said it's mine now.

I recall having to collect mine during lockdown from.. that was interesting to say the least.

but it's been a trooper since getting it on launch not failed me once.. barely used physical games but does neatly double as a region free bluray player

I wish mine did. My Speed Racer Blu-Rays are all Region 1... I had to rip all fifty-two episodes to hard disk to watch them via the TV.

Good thing this is legal to do in the UK.
