What I never understood...was why are there car packs immediately after release. My old understandig was that car packs contained cars that weren't ready at release and built out/tested/loaded long after release. This is just old fashioned pay gated micro transactions. But hey, if this means keeping the lights on - whatever.
I got curious.

Turns out Forza Motorsport 2 had pre order DLC in the form of the 2003 Nissan Forza Motorsport Fairlady Z (the cover car).
It also had 3 major car packs, although they were not at launch.

Forza Motorsport 3 was the first one with a VIP car pack (included in the Limiter Collector's Edition), which was on disk. It was available as a separate purchase later. FM3 also had 10+ car packs.

Forza Motorsport 4 was the first one to have a "Car pass" called Season Pass. It included 7 car packs.

Launch car packs have been present in its current form for close to 20 years now.

Car Pass thumbnail has been updated in the XBOX Store.

Methinks that the RAM SRT-10, GR Corolla, Volkswagen Golf Rallye and Autech Skyline R33 are gonna be playlist rewards.

No idea.

Ok, not only I confirm I'll be playing FH6 of course, but I'll be doing a new livery after so many years...this picture sold me the idea. Already working on it in FH5...

I saw that vid on my feed, haven't watched yet but saw that it didn't have the "pre release game" thing that was in the bottom right on the last gameplay they all got
Yeah I seen it pop up on my feed and I was really confused because I didn't think any YouTubers were allowed to post till the 14th of may.

TmarTn2 has gameplay on his YouTube of the full game it seems in one clip he's driving the evija FE.
Yes, TmarTn2 and also JackUltraGamer allegedly has been allowed by PGG to upload gameplay of the release version of the game. Ericship mentions it in the end of this video:

And here are the videos in question for anyone who's interested:

Edit: I just saw that JackUltragamer's footage still had a pre-release watermark up in the right top corner, which TmarTn2's video didn't have. So the latter might be the only full release coverage we have for the moment 😊

Edit 2: JackUltragamer's video is running in 60 fps though, so this isn't the pre-release build we've been seeing before, which was locked to 30 fps. It seems this is a first glimpse of the performance mode 🤔

It also shows the map during summer season, whereas the pre-release build was locked to spring.

Pirates can play the entire game now for free...paying customers have to wait.

What a royal **** up!
Yeah, but I think you would pretty much need a dummy PC/Windows account/steam account in case anything 'goes wrong' with that version. Not to mention the possible included virus in the exe file.

Edit, seems like there is some shady xboxinstaller that you need to download and install and you also need an alternative xbox account.

I guess if this thing really works, youtube will be flooded with material in a few hours.

The audio files for the Senna (as the Wellington) have been present since the pre load dropped. However there are no model files for it.
Interestingly enough, the Iron Knight is in here too. Haven't caught any other interesting ones yet, but this one definitely stands out. Maybe for engine swaps?

Unfortunately, Forza Horizon 6 leaked 5 days early...

RIP. Somebody's gonna lose his job.

And there's someone uploading 45 minutes of gameplay on YT, including the full autoshow.

As for some of the files (based on the leaked Steam Preload), not gonna let you know the specifics till the 15th-19th, but all I can tell is based on some of the files that I was able to download (I'd rather wait for the 15th to play the full game):

  • We have two festival playlists in the day one files.
  • Two NTF JDMs will be on the first playlist
  • Two good returnees will be on the second playlist (both New to Horizon)
  • No interesting textures or thumbnails discovered
  • In terms of balancing recycled and NTF/NTH content very early on via the Playlist, FH6's miles better than FH5

@Apple Slipper I just checked out this Twitter account and there's some more interesting info regarding the full game. Some spoilers are present, obviously.

Edit: For those interested in the leaked gameplay it's uploaded to the Youtube account @dvssquad.

Edit 2: @nukleabomb
while that is true for the normal wheelspins, it seems like that's not the case for super wheelspins. They still seem to contain certain clothing items.
