Absolutely stunning, running on triples with 90% settings on ultra and just so smooth, wheel feels fantastic for what is predominantly an arcade title, just cruising around Tokyo is insanely good and holy moly, the graphics are simply gorgeous ❤️

Same here. Triple 4k with a 5090 and it's just a beautiful game. I did find a bug with attempting to turn on any type of DLSS / Frame Gen results in my outer screens flashing white.

What did you guys pick for your nickname? I've put on a few pounds over the last few years and found "Potato" was fitting...

The more roads I discover the more I’m getting flashbacks to Driveclub, and I can pay a game no higher compliment than that, still is and always will be the greatest racer I’ve ever played.
And for a non sim racer this handling model is really impressive, driving the M4 Comp on the road and feeling planted, to following the map to a new event through some wooded area and if you so much as fart on the throttle in the bends you’re doing unintentional donuts..
 
Yeah, I'm much happier with the physics in this one, closer to how they were in 2. You can sense grip better and that it's slightly harder to break the tyre away without giving it a bung.

I'm currently cruising in the Montero, with power raised to a more useful 175hp or so. Next one I'm going to make, will be a Ralliart version.

Nope, current king of the Autoshow Higher Rollers is the Ferrari 330 P4 at 70 million credits.

The 300SLR comes in at 60 million which is a bargain compared to its misappropriated price of 143million on FH5(the road going Uhlenhaut Coupe sold for that number.).

Since my avatar is an Asian woman, I went with “Aneki”. “Neesan” and “Niisan” really should have been options. Considering the age of a lot of players, “Ojisan” would have been a good one, too.

I still don't see an area for photography in the official Forza.net. Does anybody know how to extract pictures in the meantime?

I use the XBox app on my iPad. All my photos and screengrabs go there.

also, while the main horizon stadium is soccer/football focused, it has baseball signage around it as well

By the way here are some other takewaya i had
  • Shibuya Crossing (i belive due infamus) does not you go into sidewalks, its sad beacuse i wanted not only to have hachiko in the game but took photos around there
  • Every Region seems to have its own mascot, and all mascots are based on food
  • There has some areas in the map that seems to imply that maybe PlayGround may expand them in the future, in expansions or maybe as extra live content like the new stuff they did in Mexico for FH5
  • Gacha Pop bumper music for some reason is more entretaining than some of the actual music, i wish they actually had full version of those songs
  • for those that wonder, Ito-chan (the radio host) mostly talks about meeting other hosts, in one of them she says had meet another female host (i supposed was Amy Simpson) and while they had a bad time it was confusing beacuse the other host talked in english and she talked in Japanese
  • She also mentioned she likes racing-based manga and did mentions to touge (I assume they wanted give impression she likes Initial D without mention Initial D)
  • Garage uses the same items of eventlabs, i wish they had more garage-specific items like posters or brands logos to put into the walls, the outside area is just a big blue (those guys from Horizon after 2 happens in racing heaven will hace a fielday with it)
  • Has not checked events lab just yet, but from carage, some props items from FH5 bulding were missing, in special older Horizon props that were in the Horizon 5 for the 10 year celebration
  • I dont know if is just me, or the fact i spend the intial hour or two of the game in kei cars, but i have the sensation that some cars had been "miniaturezed, something akin CarTown or Choro-Q, at least the M2 you drives in Horizon Quailiders looks to be smaller than already it is, but maybe is just me

More musings from day two:
- I tested all the antialiasing/upscaling solutions on PC with an RTX 4070 Super, and although your best bet for image quality is still DLSS, even with some early issues with the Nvidia app, both TAA and FSR 3.5.1 are decent options, and the latter can get you 90 fps on quality, 1440p at Extreme visual settings. Avoid XeSS, it's awful.

-I loved the first Rush event and got the three stars after 4-5 attempts together my green bracelet, but players that don't enjoy drifting could suffer with this one. Dump the traction control and set your controller's steering on simulation, trust me.
