It says a lot that my stamp book has been advancing a lot farther than my wristband color, mostly from trying to find all the Horizon Promo photo spots and treasure car locations without resorting to a cheater guide. But this game's version of Japan feels so much more organic than Mexico or even the UK did, so driving around and just checking out the scenery has been eating up a lot of my time too. Everything feels like it's there for a purpose, and not just "here is (landmark), because you are in (country)".

Also, the aftermarket cars are a pretty brilliant addition of a money sink because I don't think I've passed up a single one that I've found so far. "Ooh, a time attack tuned MX-5, I'll take that! Ooh, a rally tuned '65 Mini, I'll take that! Ooh, a stock Nissan Pulsar at 30% off, I'll take that! ...hey, where'd all my credits go?"

I just did the Invitational event and noticed a few names from past Horizons, however minor their cameos are:

Zaki Malik from FH1, in a yellow R8. Just like old times!

Ramona Cravache also from FH1, riding on yet another Raptor.

And of course ya faithful boi Scotty driving a Bass Arena-themed AE86.

There's also La Racer from FH4 - couldn't really see what her ride was.

Auto-Shazam! (Long-press the button) 😎
With what, my nose? I'm too busy fighting a giant mecha with my hands...
People are going to hate the first Showcase though
I made the mistake of playing on Unbeatable.
Looks like they decided to make the robot's system interfere with my ocular systems. Well played, Chaser Zero. So much for that blue wristband. Luckily restarting the event fixed my bugs if not the mech's.

I should add that a lot of these songs aren't even on YouTube yet. I doubt Shazam has got a chance.

I really like them. It reminds me of gt5.
So far I have only passed on 2 cars: the BRZ FE because I did not have the money at the time (had just bought a Dakar 959 even with the discount is expensive) and a stock Alfa Romeo that was a repeat.

I'm going to try to complete the collection without using the autoshow/auction house. That should be a nice challenge. Already have 100+.

I'm glad they gave Izzy Moss a personality and most of the DJs a lot more scripted content, at least at the beginning of the game. Hopefully this won't dry up once the weekly grind starts.

I passed on the Lambo Centenario because it was like 1.8m bucks (or yen) even with the ten per cent discount..
Does anyone else have this problem with constant disconnection alerts? This has been going on for 21 straight hours.

I had a couple of disconnects this afternoon but my network is unreliable at times. It didn't affect the gameplay and I've been fine ever since.

crosses fingers 🤞🏽

Hope your problem clears up soon.
I figure it'll show up next week after the game is officially launched. Until that happens, I'm screenshotting my photos to get the images onto my tablet.

This time they held the Stunt Party just outside of town so I could reach it before the timer ran out. It's an easy hundred grand with the increased participation but it really screws up my journey of discovery as it takes me into regions I didn't want to start yet.

After a two-week wait since authorisation, I'm delighted to say that my code arrived yesterday while I was nose deep in the initial drive.

Thanks for all the effort you've gone to on behalf of me and the GTPlanet Forza community, @Populuxe. You're a prince among men. 👑
I'd also like to say big thanks as well to @KILLER2JZ for the spare Toyota Sports 800 code. 👍🏽

You're on console, right? I can't say that I've had this problem, however, I do have stutters on PC.

More on this though, I remember frequent disconnects being an issue for either 4 or 5 and it was resolved on global release or shortly thereafter. Might be a similar issue here of having to grin and bear it, unfortunately.

Yeah, Series S. So far it’s just been a minor inconvenience. Like I’ll roll up to a car for sale and it will be locked because I’m not online. But if I wait just a few seconds, the game will try to reconnect me and I can buy the car. Hopefully the global release will have a patch.

BTW am I the only one who thinks of Treasure Cars as Barn Finds Lite?

Man, the wreckage skill delivery jobs are miserable. There's hardly anything to hit but fences on the sides of the road, and those break your combo 90% of the time. It's the first time I've disliked doing something in this game. Hopefully the last?... Oh wait, the Trial is back...

Yeah, I'm not quite grasping the practical difference between them. I mean, sure, TCs just need a wash and you can use them right away while BFs take a while to repair but that's just timing.
I think the thing that's meant to set them apart is how you find them. Barn finds put a big circle on the map and you have to find a barn hidden away in the woods within that circle. Treasure cars, you get told which region it's in, and a photo of where it is, and then you have to go find where that photo is. It's just a different hunt.

I'm thinking of the Treasure Cars as Treasure Chest Heavy. They're similar with the picture "hint", but don't come with the map circle.

Connection wise, I've been ok today, just one crash to desktop on my Series X. Knowing that we're both in the same general area, I'm wondering if it's your internet provider, maybe?

I haven’t had any previous problems with my internet connection. I can watch a ten hour livestream and not have any issues. These disconnects in FH6 are pretty much continuous, happening two or three times every minute.

I did have one actual crash last night, when I visited Mei’s family home. At the point where you edit the name, description, display image, etc, it locked at the point of taking the photo. I couldn’t move the camera or take a photo or back out of it. It was locked solid. I had to quit the game. I restarted the XBox as well, just to be safe. I haven’t had any other game breaking lockups since.

Shirakawa village sure is pretty.

I've started gadding about the radio stations now. Although now I've found Sub Pop I'm reluctant to turn the dial as their songs are very catchy. The Street Races around Tokyo are similarly pretty addictive ever since they gave me this RX-7 for smashing mascots.

I started with Gacha Radio, then moved on the Sub Pop. Now I’m listening to Hospital Records. I think I’ll move on to Opus next.

Since I haven't played FH since 3, what are the things I should do each week before the "normal" career events. Like if I take gt7 for example, it's time trials, power pack races and weeklies, is there equivalent unique content that can be missed each week ? I didn't saw any by checking the game.

The Miata FE is the stupidest thing and I absolutely adore it.

It has zero grip, zero braking ability, has an ass that won't quit through any and every corner, and will it absolutely torpedo itself down a straight.

When you find it (and you will find it) buy it. Immediately. Be consumed by stupid laughter. And when you're done? Activate your inner Jeremy Clarkson.
