Yeah, I'm not quite grasping the practical difference between them. I mean, sure, TCs just need a wash and you can use them right away while BFs take a while to repair but that's just timing.
You can remove Treasure Cars from your garage but you can’t remove Barn Finds.

From a technical perspective I see them as being something that’s easy to add in the future as Playground don’t need to make a “beat up” model for each. They can just pick a car, have it be dirty and plonk it on the map. They’re basically a cross between an Aftermarket Car and a Bran Find.

Maybe we get a new car every Series.

The Miata FE is the stupidest thing and I absolutely adore it.

It has zero grip, zero braking ability, has an ass that won't quit through any and every corner, and will it absolutely torpedo itself down a straight.

When you find it (and you will find it) buy it. Immediately. Be consumed by stupid laughter. And when you're done? Activate your inner Jeremy Clarkson.
I managed to get an actual two stars on the Tokyo drift zone with it instead of my usual one so it was worth the purchase.

Well, I very much enjoyed my first few hours in FH6. It looks gorgeous, sounds awsome and is just a joy to drive around and explore everything. I´m gonna be spending the entire weekend in Japan I guess 😁

i wouldnt be suprised if it was laser scanned
Yeah, could be an edited model from the one used in Flight Sim which I think was scanned. Flight Sim's version of the Bathurst landmark among other racetracks were the Forza assets placed on to MSFS for example. One of the benefits of Microsoft owning both Flight Sim and Forza licenses lol

Actually I wonder how much of this are Forza models also used for Flight Sim since they updated Japan last fall

Since I haven't played FH since 3, what are the things I should do each week before the "normal" career events. Like if I take gt7 for example, it's time trials, power pack races and weeklies, is there equivalent unique content that can be missed each week ? I didn't saw any by checking the game.
Nothing right now. In about a week, the Festival Playlist will start, which are your weekly challenges. They typically have an exclusive car locked behind them, though in FH6 they plan to make it easier to get any you miss. We still don't know exactly what that looks like.

So peaceful watching the cable cars go by. :)

Anyone else loving the way Horizon Promo works this time around? It stores the shot that captured each car and landmark and lets you go back and replace them. Fun little way to encourage replacing the grid shots that capture multiple cars at once.

Existing photo in the Promo menu from a grid shot:

Taking a shot of the Vivio and the prompt to replace it:

OK, I'm worried: I created a bunch of decals/vinyl groups in FH4/FH5, but I was only able to import the ones from the latter game that I'd actually shared publicly. I just uninstalled both games -- will I have to reinstall them to have access to my decals? Is that even possible, or are they gone forever?

EDIT: turns out I could run FH5 on cloud gaming and I shared all my other vinyl groups, so hopefully that'll work and I can import them.

EDIT 2: it did. Whew!

Well, today I had my first major crash on PC, right after the first chapter of the drift club. But I repeated it with no further issues.

Also, the speed trap on top of the bridge furthest south (Rainbow something) glitches the GPS which leads you incorrectly and BELOW of the actual speed trap, at least if you are approaching from the west.

I did find with the bridge speed trap that it gave me 2 options when I selected it on the map, higher and lower, choosing higher took me to it correctly.

On the first chapter of the drift club, the FD BMW driven by jordan is also glitched. The right side wheels is reversed (the inside part is seen instead of the outside).

The RakuRaku Express job’s super fun, and a good way to farm credits.

You can get between 50,000-70,000 credits per finished shift (base pay of 7,000 + title bonus + (3,000 base, multiplied by stacks depending on how many stars you have per shift), and one shift can take between 7-10 minutes.

I dunno if this includes the VIP’s double credits perk.

I have got more than 500 decal, but only half appear.

I go back to FH5, and unshared them and reshared and nothing

Well, I finally just got the blue wristband. I'm still holding on a bit longer before using the dlc cars, though I'll probably use any faster cars I buy or win myself. Honestly, I have been spending quite a bit of time exploring the map myself, trying to discover more routes and take pictures of cars in the game. I found a couple of the barn finds and one of the treasure cars, the Nissan Figaro. I'm having a harder time finding the Dodge Charger and I haven't tried finding the other treasure cars yet.

(please noone help me with the Charger, I want to figure it out myself)

Ali
I knew this would happen, I'm missing 2 bits of road somewhere . Wonder how long it will take until I accidentally find them...
At least this time you can search section by section, although I'm not sure whether it gives you a road count for each one or whether the game gives you the Cartographer award for driving almost every road. Hopefully the Region Discovered percentage'll be helpful in this regard.

There's a small network of dirt roads in mid-Shimanoyama which I'm betting may give me trouble as they are pretty teeny.

At this point in the game, I usually start exploring and trying to discover all the roads. But the map is so big, it’s a little daunting. So I’m going to just play and let the road discovery take care of itself. I’m going to focus on unlocking Legend Island. I’m hoping it’s Bender’s theme park full of blackjack and hookers.

Interestingly, we did a multiplayer preview and the host took us to a Spec Racing hopper that included the Legends Island circuit. That means I've "discovered" the roads there and the second Horizon Festival site, even though I haven't unlocked any of it

I have a funny story of my last trip to Tokyo in 2008, so it's pre-social networks and maps on your phone. Somehow, after a night trip to Tokyo Tower and surroundings, me and a group of friends ended up stranded near the industrial zone of Yokohama, courtesy of having missed the last night train to Haneda airport, and we walked until we literally came to the end of the road!

This was well past midnight, and you would not believe how deserted the city streets were back then. And yet, we were later rescued not by one, but two cabs that "miraculously" appeared around a bend while we walked back trying to find help. To this day I believe they were secretly tailing we poor, foolish tourists, while everybody back at cab central/police headquarters were placing bets and laughing out loud at our misfortune.

Welp, don't know what happened during the night, but here's what my performances looked like yesterday:

And here's what they look like today:

I tried everything I could think of/find on Reddit, nothing seems to work. Only thing left to try would be to reinstall the game, which I might do later.

are you using wireless controller connecting to bluetooth? Some post said that it makes the game stutter and suggest to use wired controller.

Anyone else feels like the menus, particularly while modifying cars in the garage, are a bit laggy? I haven't started to mess around with the garage customization so it's not because of that, but it feels like there's a slight delay to every action.

Aside from that, so far, nothing to complain about.

Each region shows 100% discovered, The Horizon Cartographer is at 99%. I don't really care about achievements, but I would have liked to have all roads discovered. Oh well :indiff:
