I had to depend on someone else sending me a code I'm afraid. What I do know is that I had to be on a PC to even see the game page. Android Chrome didn't want to know. But I don't think I even got as far as the game.

That said these guys said it only works on phones and not PC.

This seems to be hit and miss. I got it to work on my Android phone, I wonder if it has something to do with the Android version number or the website itself using java or something else which your phone blocks?

Crikey. It's bad enough with the crying/sad emojis in GT7 and Motorfest.
 
I have so many thoughts about this game that have already been touched on, but let's just say that this game has managed to blow several of my expectations out of the water.

I mentioned in this thread a while back about how the general lack of cohesiveness in the past couple of games really hampered the experience more than one would think. They've fixed so many of my gripes in that regard this time around:

-The collection journal as the successor to accolades is so much better executed and rewarding.
-Stunt Party is actually a lot of fun now; I like that it's back to the top of the hour and how you have to purposefully join in.
-The UI is much more enjoyable to use and look at, in my opinion.
-Not having to go through so many post-race rewards screens is wonderful.
-Horizon Promo actually saving your photos in your collection journal!!
-I actually like the ANNA's "What's Next" recommendations and the fact you can disable them.

On top of that, the map is legitimately insane, the cars sound great (despite being too quiet), the lighting and shading improvements make a huge difference, and the soundtrack is also spot on. PG has outdone themselves, truly.
 
My audio settings, also make sure your xbox is set to “stereo uncompressed”.

That's good to know. I didn't touch the LFE slider as I like being on headphones and figured it would make them rumble better. They're kinda flat with this game, so might as well lower it.
 
Let's just say the reason you haven't seen me post is because I have simply been enjoying the game so much. PGG really knocked it out of the park this time with the map, as it fixes pretty much every issue I had with 5's. I've spent quite a few hours just driving at slower speeds taking in all the detail, so imagine my surprise when I open the overhead map and there's still 2/3 of the map to see!

I think my only gripe so far is that porting my vinyl groups is quite odd. As mentioned prior in the thread, you have to actually share them in fh5 to get them to show up in fh6. Not being able to port liveries straight up is a bit of a bummer too, but I've just turned each face of each design into a vinyl group so I can kind of port them anyway, it just takes longer. Also, the location where you port them is different from the previous games (It's the furthermost right tab in the vinyl shapes section, how weird...).

Other than the vinyl group thing though, I've been having a blast. I think I've spent more time just driving around than actually progressing infact.

What I have heard is a similar to GT7 with a couple of really fast rabbit cars, AI dive-bombing you if you are on the racing line all of the standard stuff. I ask hear because sometimes folks on Reddit are an echo chamber.

Seems unchanged from FH5. Sometimes they're ok, but most of the time I get divebombed in slower corners, then they park their 🤬 car in the next apex... I got really tired of this and have been playing on the lowest difficulty in FH6 just so I can actually enjoy driving. I would much rather just race against the clock, personally.

This happens on every FH release. Those threads are also full of conflicting "easy on road, impossible on dirt" vs "impossible on road, easy on dirt" comments. It is largely a skill issue. Expect more of what you experienced in FH5. They're not intelligent, they do cheat as any arcade racing AI does, they will always rubberband. I also have a feeling most people were used to FH5's "highly skilled" difficulty, because playlist races ignored your setting and were always locked to "highly skilled" (much to my disappointment after FH4 was "highly skilled" or higher). This means plenty of people likely had it set to something higher and thought they were pros, only to be humbled once they got a new game with no easy playlist races.

Edit to add: It's likely they are harder on the same difficulty levels still. But people who are complaining it's impossible on "expert", you can disregard. They're just not as good as they thought.

Either I'm having a really off day or that Nangan day trip event in the Corvette is impossible to three-star.
Everything else felt so easy and fun, and then this kicked me right in the head.

That was me who did the guide. Someone screenshotted the steps I did and posted it over to r/ForzaHorizon but the guide was first on r/Forza and r/ForzaHorizon6.

Anyone else feels like the menus, particularly while modifying cars in the garage, are a bit laggy? I haven't started to mess around with the garage customization so it's not because of that, but it feels like there's a slight delay to every action.

Aside from that, so far, nothing to complain about.

Yes, I also felt that all the garage menus are slower than in FH5. Auction house, tuning, etc.

I've started gadding about the radio stations now. Although now I've found Sub Pop I'm reluctant to turn the dial as their songs are very catchy. The Street Races around Tokyo are similarly pretty addictive ever since they gave me this RX-7 for smashing mascots.

Bass Arena all the way here until I’m 100% done with the campaign and most side activities. I just have a weak spot for Scotty Tyler’s radio banter ever since FH2 (my first FH game).

And it was probably scanned during FH5 so post convertible toggle but maybe if my suggestion gets popular they will fix it. I was excited for that car just to end up in dissapointment it looks good with the roof but still we should get the option to put the hardtop down. The SLK 55 from FH5 was infamous for being on the wont fix list so its shame that this SLC 43 that is either replacing it or the old one will return and thus coexist with it doesnt have the toggle either. So lets hope for the best!

I gave it another shot and finally beat it by something like 0.40 milliseconds, so it's not impossible, but it was extremely frustrating. At least I got a nice car out of the ordeal. (Fortunately I didn't need to three-star Pier Pressure to get a reward car from that, but it looks like my next big three-star headache.)
 
Don't know if anyone noticed this, but I got this new paintjob on the NSX-R GT (sakura with White rims in front and pink-ish rims rear). And the rims looks darker when up to speed but returns to normal brightness when standing still. Weird...

After you've loaded them for the first time, they then show up in your FH6 Vinyl Groups tab.

Also while the SLC 43 doesnt have the convertible toggle but could at some point I have found out that the ATS-V finally has the right shift animation again after having the wrong one for years.

Sub Pop has been my favorite (unsurprising since I listen to at least a good half of the bands on their label) but I've been listening to Gacha City and Wave super often too. I've liked all three so much that I still haven't ventured on to Pulse or XS really, which is unusual for me. After being a little underwhelmed with the selections in 4 and 5, I'm very happy here.
