Oof, I enjoy taking random snapshots, especially for collection/completion purposes, but I do not like that it takes almost a minute to transition back from photo mode to driving. I'm on an SSD so I'm not sure if these loading times are just part of the bargain or what.

Try lower graphic settings it might help.
 
Minor pointless observation: several manufacturers that have had rebrands in the past few years since FH5 still use their old logos in the Autoshow/menus for whatever reason, most notably BMW, Jaguar and Peugeot. I’m not complaining (nor am I change averse, I just think the majority of these rebrands are ugly), but I just thought it was kinda odd as you’d think the licensors would want these things to be up to date.

On an unrelated note, I’m 100% convinced the Tokyo City Dockside danger sign is a nod to Midnight Club II’s jump across the bay.

Also Porsche is very notable too. They went from the bland black and white back to shiny gold again.
 
I’m sure somebody will compile this at some point but I’d like to have a list of what cars are in spec racing.

Also I’d like to be able to select my own car for spec racing, and have it strip the tune so I can drive with a custom livery.

I maxed out the skill tree on that Evija FE. It’s my go-to car for driving (read: sliding) around in freeroam to farm skill points. If anyone knows a better car let me know. 😎

Mazda MX-5 FE is the best car I've found for farming skill points so far, due to the multiplier going to 8.

To get it you have to go to the Festival Drag Strip start, and a bit back from there, there is a place where an aftermarket car is offered. I had to buy the BMW first, then about 15 mins later, a Mustang was offered, I bought that, then another approx 15 mins later, the MX-5 FE was offered.

This Fiorano managed to ★★★ the Kawazu Nanadaru Loop Bridge straight outta the box with no extra tuning though, so I soon got over it.

Hey guys found a loophole for me😁
When I bought my new gaming laptop last fall, it came with a 3 month free game pass trial that I hadn’t used… so I activated it today, I download the game tomorrow when it comes out, and I can play it while waiting for the ps5 release. 😁I like to think of it like an extra early access for me.

I need to check out Scotty’s channel. I’ve been listening to Amy Simpson lately. She’s charming as always, but she pronounces Minamino as Meena Meeno? They really should have had a native Japanese speaker in the control room for every recording session.

I’ve been trying the Launch Control Rush Event, but I’m getting the same black screen as you. How did you get around that?

What little I heard of Amy was pretty great. She really loves those street races. I fear like me you've missed out on ya boi's journey though. I was too busy listening to the two-hander commentaries on Sub Pop and 'Ospital and found Dyna's quest to find a festival-worthy car before some bastard snapped up all the treasure finds mildly compelling.

For Mech My Day I had to restart the event. I didn’t have to reboot the console or even exit the game and start again. You miss out on the cool intro the second time but at least you can see out of the windscreen. Hopefully, a forthcoming hotfix will patch this.


Apparently, I'm friends with most of the NPCs now except Isamu-san but that Loop Bridge drift zone awakened a fire in me although it was more of a Thor-style smouldering fire than a Hulk-type raging inferno. It does seem to be even easier to catch slides with the physics this time around so I can see myself giving Drift Club 3.0 a (literal) spin.

I'm only halfway through the wristbands at the mo but I somehow suspect that waiting for the decent non-itasha liveries to turn up will be the true endgame.

I wish we could use Japanese VO with English as sub. I wanna feel that immersion for some reason in FH6

Yes, this is what I miss the most. English doesn't feel right, even when they try to add Japanese accents. They should have had an option for Japanese.
It is also an option present in many other games to improve immersion. I usually choose the correct language for the setting and then English subs.
For example recently I've been playing Kingdom Come and choose the voices in Czech with English subtitles.

Oh, interesting. I had no problems with Mech MyDay. It was Launch Control, the one against the rocket. Unfortunately, neither restarting the event nor quitting it and re-entering fixed it. I finally quit the game entirely and then it let me see it.

I haven't even got as far as Launch Control yet. I'm doing as many events as I can before going onto each wristband as it's the only way I can clear my map of clutter and avoid FH3-style option paralysis from a screenful of uncompleted races, PR stunts etc.
 
Okay, I spent last night finding more barn finds, doing more races, and exploring a couple more areas a little. I also found more treasure cars and I basically just have 2 left with one having its clue shown. I have 6 barn finds left to find and I will say it feels like they thrown them at you. I swear I don't remember getting multiple shown at once in the previous games.

Another note, the Horizon festival site reminds me of the first game's site, I like it.

That game made me become a car enthusiast. I wasnt good at driving and mostly crashed into walls but it did make me fall in love with cars and I already had model cars before that.
