Just shows how variable they are depending on the car you use. I just tried it on Highly Skilled with a stock Cayman and won very easily even though I was effectively much slower than you (25 PI should correspond to less than 6 seconds difference in fastest lap time). I've seen this in previous games, where the car you use makes the AIs go faster or slower, so the easiest wins don't come from having the fastest car that can do the fastest lap times, they come from having the car that makes the AIs the slowest.

And then I tuned the Cayman up to 700, did the race again, my fastest lap became the same as yours, but it was way harder to beat them.

Sadly, I am finding the customizable garages a bit underwhelming and ugly so I've been using a Festival location as my "home", not to mention the lighting seems better there for painting.

Also, I keep having flashbacks to the Japan tracks in Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed (aka Porsche 2000) on PS1. Sure enough someone already made the comparison.

A.I. drivers in any Forza game have always been moving obstacles (somewhat scripted, depending on the difficulty level) who barely rely on the physics that the player has to deal with.

Hi team,

I've put a few hours into the game now and I'm about 6,000 points off my Gold Wristband.

I just want to share a thought I've had, and I mean this as a whole hearted compliment not a criticism.

Forza Horizon 6 to me feels like a greatest hits package of FH 1 to 5.

We have Blizzard Mountain in the north. The beaches along the coast remind me so much of FH3. The woods are straight out of FH4. The progression system is back to the good old days as well. There are so many bends, junctions and layouts that remind me of previous maps. These are just a few off the top of my head while I write this in my lunch break, I'm sure you guys will have some comparisons also.

Bravo developers you've pulled this one out the bags 👏👏👏👏

I have a sneaking feeling Japanese cars have the advantage this time around. Although I just ran the Highway Circuit race in a Ferrari F12tdf and the AI was a lot faster the second time around.

Yes, I felt this one was similar to last year's Superman movie as they both mix elements of all the previous instalments.

FH6's various QoL tweaks make the experience a lot more fun for me than the last three. S2 cars are even easier to drive and Drift Zones now only cause me incredible pain and anguish instead of the sheer torture they were in previous festivals.

Like you I take my hat off to Teebone and his team. This must have been a high steaks challenge for him. As far as I'm concerned, he should receive a knighthood like his brother... Sir Loin.

Sorry if this has already been asked, I have been trying to keep up with the thread since the game came out. Can someone explain why they added cars to the game and locked them only to the Festival playlist, but they aren't even in the first 2 series?

I find it annoying seeing cars like the Ferrari Roma or the AM DBX in my races, but there is no way of obtaining them until who knows when.

I am loving the game other than that, and even though fast travel is free, I am actually enjoying driving to the destinations rather than fast traveling like I did in 5 all the time.

Didn't enjoy it as much last night, but I was highly distracted by the Bournemouth game and what it meant for me as an Arsenal fan. Used my car voucher on the 250 GTO, though. Also bought a Lucid Air, which is kinda cool, but as an EV driver, they just don't translate to video games very well, as the sensation is largely physical. Without the sound, there's not much to glean from the number on the dial.

Congratulations on the title VXR. In the nicest possible way I hope you have a sore head today 😂😂😂

I'm yet to properly attempt a drift zone. It's the skill I struggle most with in the game also bud.

I can't believe we're still doing food jokes.😂😂😂😂. I'd try some steak meal based jokes but I haven't time to chip in and there isn't mushroom left in the post. It's a rare talent so well done.

Haha, Thank you.

I didn't drink last night, but I'm home alone with no partner and kid to run around after this weekend, so I shall be partaking in revelry on my own watching Palace.
Enjoy it dude. My wife and stepkids are all Gooners, their from Broxbourne/Cheshunt area. To say they're happy as well right now is an understatement.

I know my silly puns don't quite cut the mustard so it's perfectly okay for you to rib I.

One thing I've been meaning to ask. The GT-R Forza Edition you're using to do PR stunts... is it the one we all got this week, or is it a wheelspin or prize car? Thanks. I've been using the Evija but it's a bit slippery so the Vulcan I got for playing a previous game is the next, um, logical choice.

If you guys want to try alternate settings, I really recommend setting your wheel rotation to 540 degrees and dampener at 0 or 10.

This feels good, night and day compared to FH4 and FH5.

Follow this video for the in-game settings, this is the best configuration imo:

I feel like the points needed to advanced through wristbands is way too little in comparison to legend. I felt like I absolutely flew through them, to the point where I was only restricted to lower class vehicles for a very short time period. I think street races and touge should not have counted towards wristband progress.

I got it off a wheel spin bud. It comes fully drag tuned. It's a sod in the corners, it doesn't turn at all at any speed, very skinny front tyres.

I have been using it to easily tick off a lot of PR stunts, I'm waiting until I get the Toyota AE86 FE car though. That with the correct tune will do 315 mph plus.

The GT-R FE is a wheelspin car so you need huge luck to already have one. The Ultima can get 3 stars on most speed traps, speed zones, danger signs and trailblazers. It's only 150k from the autoshow, so I have 2 of them, one with slicks and one with off-road race tyres. For any where you need more handling, the time attack cars are very good, so again I have one taken to X class with slicks, and one with off-road race tyres. Some stunts are best with low aero, some with high aero, so it's a bit of a pain to have to keep changing the tune.

Yeah, min-maxing in Horizon games is always a dubious proposition because the AI cars will be scaled to match your PI even if said upgrades would be unrealistic or illogical. That plus the sample size of players is still limited to early adopters and PG devs in anything past the initial races (I've seen most of those names coming up in my game too), so the field of cars is going to be mostly the same small batch of "recommended" stuff. Give it a couple weeks for everyone else to catch up and make the field more varies as they bring in different cars, and things will get less lopsided I think.

In the meanwhile, I've decided that El Plan should be to build some viable drift cars and hit up the online drift races to farm mastery points for the hidden cars (and also Horizon Play levels since I may as well get that out of the way too).
