I would like to as well but some of the future challenges aren't popping for me.

Guess it's time to try drift zones again.

a couple of hours later

It's okay. This is just an incentive to "git gud". Or an incentive to wait until spring when accidentally drifting outsode the track limits might actually net me some points, more like.

If I ever manage to ✪✪✪ Kodachi and Hakone it'll be a major incentive to delete all my drift cars from my garage.
I don't know if it will help but I used the ford f150 FE (the electric one) for all my drift zones and I never failed one got them all done first time so if you have one I would highly recommend using it with 4wd,drift suspension and drift tyres and you should smash them all very easy.

Thank you but I'm finding it much easier with @breeminator's B-class Abarth 595 '68 suggestion. The car is a lot slower and its small size makes it easier to stay in contact with the narrow road. Without that and the meta tune he recommended I wouldn't've even been able to get anywhere near the required 160k.

Luckily the rest of the daily challenges eventually popped so I'm 45/45 again for this week.

Give it some thought....

The game has only been out just over 2 weeks & is in the middle of its first Festival playlist. It's far too early to announce anything new for the game. At most, an acknowledgement of the game's success & maybe a reward for everyone as a thank you. I would even normally agree with @PJTierney's possible prediction, but Xbox CEO has essentially hinted they will stop showing competing platform logos at their reveals after this event. Thus, I would expect any decision to actively promote the PS5 version has been re-considered for now.
Ya this makes sense. Plus info on Season 2 of the playlist since it will be about a week and a half away.

Been spending the last 20 minutes trying to get the Lamborghini Countach and the Lotus Exige from the Auction House. Missed it twice because they got snatched up in mere seconds.

This is why I don’t like the exclusive Festival Playlist cars being locked to online-only multiplayer events.
I honestly don't understand why you need a subscription to play online on console. It makes zero sense.

Yeah I’m not looking forward to next weeks Horizon Play in order to get the Saleen S7 LM. I just don’t play multiplayer in this game at all. Not my jam.

I hope they change that up when it comes to the PS5 because I don't do the online portion of games. If not I guess I will be in the AH. But since the FOMO has been changed maybe they'll be available in the aftermarket

As far as I'm aware, we still don't quite know what they're planning on doing with this and I don't think we will until after Series 1 ends.

Yeah. Hopefully Playground Games comes up with a good solution to this issue soon.

I managed to finally get both the Countach and Exige via the Auction House. You have to be extremely quick to get them. Can’t wait for the Saleen S7 LM next week, oh boy… 😒

Being honest, Forza Horizon 5 handled the exclusive Festival Playlist cars a lot better.

Most likely method is going to be the Series History rewards, where the Mazda Cosmo is currently.

Aftermarket Car spawns are theoretically possible if they want to go down that route.

Or they could go all-in and simply put cars in the Autoshow after a long enough wait; I’m thinking Series 1 cars go in when Series 3 starts.

I don't understand the logic behind making the AI unbalanced in races of the same type. I'm trying to complete all the street races and was able to win all except one, Festival Chase. It doesn't matter which car or class I choose there's no chance. The cars in front take off and handle on rails and the cars in the back accelerate like they have rocket engines.

They can have the same exact car I do with the same PI and still perform nowhere near what my car does. It also doesn't help that they have no idea how to actually brake for tight turns and end up ramming me from behind almost every time.

Ok, rant over. Sorry for that, it is just extremely frustrating.

For my own rant, I still absolutely 🤬 hate race cars in Horizon games. They are categorically unfun to race with. Maybe I need to stop treating it like something it isn't and just go full assists? What is it that I'm doing wrong? I'm genuinely asking because I cannot stand using race cars in these games. The AI simply aren't bound by the same in-game physics as I am and their cars have orders of magnitude better grip, braking, and acceleration out of corners — and that's not even considering the utterly 🤬 ridiculous rubberbanding.

But this isn't about the AI. There's no low speed stability or grip, the braking is balls, and no matter how carefully I try and keep to an apex...the rear just wants to run wide or slide like it's on ice. I. Do not. Understand.

At first I thought it was me or still not being entirely used to the controller and TMR sticks, so I fired up Assetto Corsa and what do you know, the cars do exactly what I tell them to do without breaking out into unnecessary song and dance through any and every corner. I'm trying to finish the Gauntlet or Goliath but this...whatever it is is really affecting my enjoyment of the game at the moment.

Have you tried switching to simulation steering in controller settings? It's far more responsive. Move brake balance to the front 52-53% to stabilize the rear under heavy breaking, and use antilock if you have to.

I used sim steering exclusively in the earlier games until it became more and more obvious that once you've lost the car there's next to a zero chance of actual recovery.

Is am the only one that really don’t like the winter season.
I would not mind for few days but hole week is bit to long for my liking,

I like all the other seasons much more. I have not really played it much this weekend thanks to that. But I will get back to it after it switches to spring next Thursday.

I would give it a try with your TMR stick. The track on Legend Island is good for practice, I won it with the Pagani Huayra R on highly skilled difficulty. What controller do you have? For PC I use a 8BitDo (Hall effect, not TMR) and it's awesome.

So it's safe to say now that I need to play something else now because I cannot continue trying to do the Goliath with this much hatred in my heart.

I 🤬 hate race cars in Horizon games. So much so that I just swept through my roster and got rid of every single one I could, including the Furai. What's done is done. Overreaction? Certainly. Was I overly annoyed? Certainly. When I come back I'll just knock the difficulty all the way down, enable the assists and just play while listening to FF7 music or something.

But the AI essentially cheats: If you get 240 mph at your top gear, they will go 250-260; if you do 260, they'll go 280, and so on. And they won't brake, like they are driving on rails. To be competitive I try that my build is at or near the lowest PP to make the AI cars closer in stats too... Your race cars were innocent! :(

I just turn down the difficulty to Highly Skilled and used 787B.

The AI absolutely cheats, there's no "essentially" about it (no need to be coy with that :p), especially on and above Highly Skilled. I cannot play on Expert or whatever the second-to-last difficulty is in this one because I'd have pulled my hair all the way out by now.

As for the race cars, again, collateral damage and an overreaction, however, I genuinely don't like the way race cars handle in Horizon games. Never have. There's a huge disconnect with what the game wants you to do and what the physics engine allows you to do. At least, as far as I've been able to tell, there aren't different physics in and out of events.
