Okay, one thing I do love about the new Festival Playlist mechanics--they actually TELL YOU what's changed between updates now!
 
Ok trial complete, on the first try. My car was not ideal needed better speed and pavement handling but had a mostly competent team, one guy was getting racey with the other drivers and slowed a group of us down but manged to win that race by 50 points still. The radar helps a lot with defending against reds.

Now trying to do the touge race but same problem as last series, keep getting matched with classes where either I or the person matched do not have a mustang in the right class and someone leaves.

I think the car meets are a shame. There's too many of them and nobody uses them. But they're actually a lot of fun.

Would've been better if they had one active at a time, and they changed it each playlist - if it's in one place it might get more use, idk.

The Car Meets need a matchmaking system like Horizon Open and then they will actually be popular.

I think the trouble is, they're meant for pre-made Convoys, not randoms. They're basically a place to sit, ****post in Discord, and show off your rides before you convoy up and smash a challenge or play a round of Hide and Seek. If they do get a matchmaking system going for it, though, that would be sweet.

I think they could work for both random lobbies and convoys.

So it was created for people with friends and a social life, not misanthropic loners? Did they even look at the Forza Horizon subreddit?! :lol:
 
Trial is really again a pain in the *** , you help people to pass AI cars, but nobody does it for you, then you end up missing 100pts to win…

It made me remember why I stopped playing Horizon 5, the playlist mostly wasn’t fun 5 years ago, it still isn’t.

Completely counter balance the greatness of the map for me.

So I have to do multiplayer stuff to get both cars, or is my math just wrong? For me, multiplayer in every game is just hot garbage, but especially so in racing games.

Yeah, I really don't understand why so many people aren't able to work as a team. The fast drivers never slow down the AI, while the slow drivers never let you just pass them to catch up to the AI. Really frustrating, especially if you wanna work as a team and therefore just don't want to bully your way past your teammates.
 
Isn't the Eliminator suspended right now? How is one supposed to do the Daily Challenge this week that requires the Eliminator, if that's the case?

Your maths is correct (16pt from multiplayer this week, of 50 in total) but the 40pt car was available last week as an event reward too. And it remains crap that there's so much paywalling going on.
 
Touge and hide and seek done. They really need to find a better way for doing match making for the touge when there is a car requirement for the playlist, took forever to get matched with a player and complete it.

The D class retro hot hatch championship is pretty funny with the high speed routes and slow cars, i fought a hard battle to the front and realized I still had 60% of the distance to go.

Is it just me or that bowie knife has been severely nerfed? Dude was last place in all 3 trial races that I entered in.

Ashes to ashes, funk to funky... but I bet he's still running things from behind the scenes like Noel Coward in The Italian Job (not the Marky Mark one) while his minions continue to screw up our lives.

Either they're going to release that hotfix sometime this week, or if they can't get it ready in time, they'll just give it to everyone for free.

And yeah--I think a lot of that has to do with Seasonal EventLab being removed from Playlists. Which is honestly kinda crap in and of itself, it put spotlights on a lot of really cool creations.

I do. Most people who play this game are male and a lot of them have a big ego. I had a great time with the online stuff and didnt meet any big egos. They know that this is a team event but ram anyway because they only care about themselves.

So, first Trial is done. We had to do 3 races, because someone lived up to his name 🙄
Kept ramming into people when they´re trying to get to the front to stop the ai.
Bowie knife 99 was there too, but mostly at the back of the pack. Except for the first race where I had to fight him for fourth to the line. I don´t think much has changed from FH5. People certainly haven´t...

Bug fixes and changes

Credits exploit

  • Fixed an issue where players could earn an unintended amount of Credits through an exploit used in The Eliminator.
The Eliminator

This hotfix also restores access to The Eliminator in Horizon Play, with all players receiving a 2021 McLaren Sabre as a gesture of good will for the inconvenience of disabling this feature.

Auto Drive

Related to the Credits Exploit we have rebalanced the Rewards available in some game modes to prevent these from being exploited using Auto Drive.

Auto Drive is meant to be used as an accessibility feature, or for when your hands need a break from driving. It is not intended to be used as a way to earn credits without actively playing the game.

Save issues update – ongoing investigation

We are still investigating the ongoing Save Data Loss issues and are working closely with XBOX to help resolve these as quickly as possible.

No internet what so ever for me here, and I can't get an engineer to fix it until Monday afternoon.

I can't play the game at all because you have to be online, so no playlist for me until early next week 😕
 
I think mine is a hardware issue with the modem, there has been no service issues reported in my area and I've tried everything I can think of with it like factory reset and switching off at the mains
