In case anyone needs a reminder of where the bamboo groves are, look for
the Arashiyama Run Speed Zone.
That's the one I always use when I want lots of smashables. It's my equivalent of the solar panel farm in Horizon Mexico.

I ended up doing the On The Trail dirt championship three times: once with a Galant VR-4 on Expert level, then twice in two different Celicas on Pro. The '94 was more manoeuvreable than the '92 for me. I did the Syclone challenges after throwing on one of those overpowered Noa Miyaki tunes for the street race and will leave the rest for my next session as the weather is way too hot to do any more Forzaing this arvo.

Just when we thought we were out and could hang up our caps, they pulled us back in again for this week's playlist. 😢

I’ve done as much of the Weekly Playlist as I can for now. I can’t do the Trial or the F.R.I.E.N.D.S Drift Championship until the game allows me to stay connected for more than ten seconds at a time. But at least I got enough points for the Liechtbau, so I’m going to have some fun with that. And yes, the first thing I did was install the flatnose.

During the trial, noticed an interesting thing: two AIs were driving the 993 GT2, with one being listed as the usual “P. 911 GT2 ‘95” while the other was listed as “P. 911 GT2 ID” for some odd reason.

Also, after the trial, the game decided to spawn me at a rather unusual spot at my Vision House:

Him: “come over”
Me: “can’t, the new autumn seasonal playlist just started”
Him: “parents aren’t home”

Why did it display ID? Is it some kind of error when trying to identify the car?

Congrats! If you needed top 1% scores to beat me, then I'm happy I'm doing okay. You may want to add more challenging opponents than me to your friends list if you still need to push yourself.
I'm not interested in pushing any harder. I just saw what you did with the cracked Beat and decided to have a go myself because I know I'm faster than you. Sorry again:lol:

Er, okay. Glad you're being such a good sport about it. @Ali can probably beat both of our times with a stock tune so it doesn't matter that much to me. There's always someone faster.

Sorry but I haven't the room to set up another five speakers as my games room doubles as a guest room.

I'm not sure how much louder the car sound could be. I don't think it's everyone's priority in a music based game

A music-based game? That's the first time I'm ever hearing anyone say that. Sure, you can turn on radio stations and whatnot but I myself personally, along with many others who play driving games regularly, turn all music off. The purr, vibration, and noise of the engine is more than enough, but that's just me. Have you noticed how nice and reasonably loud the cars sound in the garage idling and revving, as you swap and upgrade parts? Then, when you take them out on the road, they grow quiet and distant. The sound mixing needs rework, specifically the car audio. These supercars and modded cars generate a LOT of decibels in real life, you can hear them miles away very clearly, in most cases in fact, you can even tell what car it is, whether stock or modified, if you're a true 'car guy'. Standing next to them or sitting in them, rev a little, and the sound will go right through your spine, that's how loud they can get.

The on-the-road car audio in FH6 sounds like they recorded the sounds a couple of hundred feet away as the car was speeding away or something. If you hear the game through 5.1/7.1 channels the audio for cars does not come out as it typically does in other racing games where Dolby Digital, DTS, and Atmos are supported natively. They really should make the cars sound punchy and impactful, instead of distant and faraway. The problem exacerbates when you shift to chase view. Also, there's too much bass in the exhaust pop and backfire effects - those only need to sound loud like a "crack", kind of like a gunshot, and not with so much bass.

I finally turned it off yesterday. I put up with hearing the same DnB loop during races in certain sections so far, and even listened to the radio outside races the first week. But I swear they've made the festival 'background' music louder during races now or changed the tune or something. (But I don't mind menu music in racing games like GT or Project Cars.)

Would ask, what is this nonsense of the first expansion being dubbed "Leaked" being a "Drift Island", and is there anything in the files to point towards it?

Nope, currently its just placeholders without any name on it

You can change the music equalizer in the game. There's a setup toward engine noise where you just here in the background the various music. I like Gacha radio but they dont have enough song, if you play a bit, you'll get a loop pretty quickly.

But I haven't touched the settings since launch and all of a sudden yesterday the music at the start or during certain sections of races seemed much louder. (I had music at 50 & my car at 100)

Nice 😎 I really enjoy your liveries, they are always top notch 👍

Got a bit lucky myself with one livery. Made a very, very, very simple design for the VW Golf in the first week after the game´s release. When I got back from a 3 week business trip, I found this 🫢

My record one-time payment was 48 million in Forza Horizon 4.

Then in Forza Horizon 5 they capped one-time payments at 5 million :(

A drift expansion would be an easy skip for me. Same goes for another hotwheels expansion - I’ve had my fill.

Baseless speculation / wishful thinking:

-expansion 1 rally
-expansion 2 bikes

Some very detailed looking bikes in the game already. Just scenery though - maybe just for now?

Ya I kind of had the same thought with bikes, but the physics engine might be limiting.
