True. Mei imo, is the best character overall on Forza Horizon.
It sure was accommodating of her to just hand over her dad's Lincoln Continental like that.

I'm surprised she hasn't come round to complain what a mess I made of her grandparents' backyard with the giant skittles and ice cream cones from my short-lived experiment in setting up a skill point farm.

It is really intertesting to think that none of the latest iterations in Ferrari lineups are in the game, apart from the top dog F80:

V12 FR GT: 12Cilindri
MR supercar: 296 Speciale
V8 Hybrid: 849 Testarossa
GT/SUV: Purosangue
EV: Luce (no one is really expecting this anyway...)
Icona/super limited series: Daytona SP3

Edit: and the Amalfi... See? Forgettable.

I think we're in an unfortunate age where most racing games just aren't after (or can afford) to model & showcase these cars. Motorfest has the 12C & Assetto has the SP3, but Horizon is probably the only game where all of these can find a home if PG/T10 ever decide to model them (Gran Turismo is the other, but they are clearly, very selective over their roster additions). Since they have procured the F80, I wouldn't be surprised if that was initially licensed over the SP3 & I wouldn't be surprised if they bring in the Purosangue at some point in time to add to the SUV roster. The 296S & 849 are still very new, so who knows if we will see them though I think Horizon 5 was one of the first to debut the 296 GTB, so maybe history will repeat.

The 296 GTB first debuted in Fortnite Battle Royale 5 years ago.

The Ferrari F80 is a beast. 😈 I'm really looking forward to it and I still hope that over time we'll also get the SP3, 12cilindri and Purosangue. 🐎🇮🇹

I also think that the 2022 Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder will be part of the Festival Playlist alongside a remodelled Ferrari 575M Maranello.
I'd agree.

We won't be getting the Luce lol it's far too new.

Suspecting series 3 car pass
Ferrari 12 clindri
Lamborghini tenemario
Ferrari purosangue
Pagani utopia
Not bad shouts 👍

I've yet to pick up a gifted car and despite multiple folks on this thread getting lucky with rare drops I'm not sure that'll be changing in the foreseeable future.

Same here but I dont expect to get one. When I have to choose, I either give the car to a new player or if it's a rarer car, I give them to people who contribute to the community. So if you're like me, just playing the game, you won't ever get a gift from me. I just dont see any reason to gift a car to a veteran racer who just race. Might be me tho.

Just started the winter playlist and do those <pölkkypäät> really expect us to ✪✪✪ the Festival Loop in one attempt in our Flying Finn cars? Time to show some <sisu>. (Actually, it was easy for me to do but it took three attempts.)

[EDIT] inserted some corny Finnlish

Genuinely caught me off-guard, the realization that they actually EXPECTED a three-star run. Took me three attempts too, though the third attempt was right after that.

Trial not too bad once you are able to matchmake, civic 08 with the mugen kit did excellent for me.
I cleverly tuned up a 2015 Type R for The Trial without reading the description properly or realising this is noughties week, so I was the oddball in the Acura RSX.

Still, a Scuderia is a Scuderia, any road up.

Okay, now that we're over midway through the Series, and a couple weeks away from the first actual Series update, time for mid-Series predictions! Man I missed doing this.

I'll come out and say that predicting Car Pass cars is going to be next to impossible, since I've never known them to match the theme of any given update. But... I do remember from FH5 that Ferrari got one big car drop early on in the game's life then peaced out for the rest of the game in favor of Volkswagen Auto Group and its Lambos taking the Italian supercar spotlight, so my prediction's going to be, simply put, The Ferrari Update.

Series Reward Car: Ferrari Daytona SP3 (80 points--headline car), Lamborghini Tememario (160 points)

Summer: Ferrari 12cilindri (New-to-Forza, 20 points), Maserati GranTurismo (Returning, 40 points)
Autumn: Ferrari Luce (New-to-Forza, 20 points--because Obligatory EV, for one thing, and for two, Ferrari seems REALLY DESPERATE to make the Luce happen), Italdesign Zerouno (40 points)
Winter: Ferrari Purosangue (20 points), Lamborghini Sian FKP (New-to-Horizon, 40 points)
Spring: Ferrari 296 Speciale (20 points), Italdesign DaVinci Concept (Returning, 40 points)

I sprinkled in a few other returning Italian exotics for good measure, but I'm definitely expecting a 40 point car week Series. Possibly even Exclusive Rewards for the Seasonal Championships or other Wheelspin exclusive Italian cars tossed into the Trial. Don't quote me on this yet--we'll see next Friday--but that's what I'm betting.

Also, I fully expect this Series to be where Seasonal EventLab returns. That 'New Events' placard on the Coming Soon tab seems... suspicious, unless it's referring to Horizon Stunt Party finally being in the Playlist, who knows?

@UKMikey you and your XJ220 are the bane of my existence in S1 Dirt Rivals.

I'm running a Pikes Peak-style Quattro for those, and its downforce, while very useful, stops it from reaching the speeds that you do on straights. You've definitely laid down some quick times on these tracks, and it's making me actually think more about how I drive and set myself up for corners, so well done.

Now that the official FH6 forum has closed,I assume any big news regarding adding new features, such as other ways to get previous playlist reward cars, will be via the message tab in game,or the official page? I dont think the new suggestions portal that they were pushing prior to closure, will have details on it,any thoughts?

Thanks @NotThePrez. Good luck with the Rivals. It's nice to know I'm doing okay so far. You gotta go left to go right as Doc Hudson puts it.

I did the bare minimum to survive this week's Eliminator and Drift Zone challenges. Really not looking forward to tomorrow's triple drift tap challenge though.

If you don't mind using 25 skill points you can unlock the Extra Life perk on the car you're going to do it with, then you can just smack into a wall/NPC car while drifting and it will give you the skill as long as it's your 1st crash in that skill chain.

I really hopw they bring back the Torben Tuesday, I always liked watching the community try to solve what cars would be added.

I just got my second one in over 200 hours of playtime. I was expecting one of the cars from the rewards this week, was very surprised to see it was a 2019 GT3 RS, which is a wheelspin only car.

Thing is it takes months to add something to the game and the Luce was only revealed a few weeks ago. It takes hard work but ends up being worth it in the end. The other cars are definitely more realistic though.

Times have changed, i doubt it’s a few months now. Even in Le Mans Ultimate, we got the new Hyundai hypercar days before its actual track release and lmu is a way smaller studio plus they need more time to refine the handling since it’s full sim.
With the manufacturers providing the data, modeling a car in game shouldn’t be that complicated or time consuming anymore
