This isn't a complaint necessarily, more an observation, but the BMW M2 FE feels like a incredibly bizarre choice to have as basically the final major reward (I'm not including the 'Green Crown' lets be real) for the 'Horizon Legend' part of the game.

It's easily the most subtle Forza Edition, being just a slight wide body and ducktail, with seemingly no interior changes at all. Just felt like a bit of a 'That's it?' compared to the AE86 Forza Edition that you get for the Explore Japan side of the game. The AE86 Forza Edition to me feels like a perfect end game reward, highly modifiable, potential for extreme performance but also capable of being a genuinely enjoyable car to drive at lower levels, while also being the perfect nod to pop culture and the games setting.

Speaking of Forza Editions I finally won one in a wheel spin! Was the Nissan GTR drag car. Glad to finally win a wheel spin car as it just hasn’t been happening for me at all which was doing my head in. Haven’t won much in the way of cars either so was doubly pleased when I also won a McLaren 765LT in another spin earlier that day.

Why does the metallic paint finish have soo much white in it?

I've been using the GTR FE to 3 star the Speed Traps and Danger Signs (not quite managed to do them all as it's built for Drag Racing, so doesn't take the corners). I have a few of the FE's now but still not managed to get the 917 yet.

I'm a farmer with a Subaru 22B. That Porsche 917 FE will definitely knock you out 🎰👍

Yesterday I finally got to the Festival Playlist after my vacation. The Mercedes AMG GT R is great. I really like the Toyota Corolla GR from car pass. I don't understand why so many people are cursing the developers at Playground games. 🤔 They did a perfect job and the circuit pack is amazing. Big thumbs up. 🕹️

Yeah, I dunno what's up with that. It almost looks like they got the lowlight and highlight layers in reverse order, I don't think it's supposed to be doing that.

Low metal flake in the special paints option yields much better results, and I think that's what this was supposed to look like.

With the next series theme it’s hard not to get my hopes up as we are missing a lot of Italian exotics, but given the two lackluster series so far, I try to keep my bar below hell so I’m not disappointed.

The series could just be new Ferraris to be honest, but given the large number of Italian exotics from FH5 that should’ve been in FH6 from launch, I feel like it’s gonna be a total recycle fest.

Still, in an ideal world where PG were somewhat decent, I feel like this is what we’d get in the playlist as far as new to Forza cars go, with a nice spread through all the big Italian exotic makers:

Series reward: Daytona SP3
Summer reward: Temerario
Autumn reward: Utopia
Winter reward: Purosangue
Spring reward: GranTurismo Trofeo

I do hope that the car pass will match the theme, like they did in FH5 with the German Automotive series, but with some oddballs like the Panda appearing alongside a 12Cilindri and the like.

My method exactly. I headed straight for the docks.
I managed to sneak in a ten minute session last night but just couldn't get the docks ramp thing right this time. Serves me right for being mean to @GlamFM earlier. In the end I loaded up an EventLab which was basically just a huge pillar in the sky and did three or four barrels before I hit the ground.

Y'know, I've noticed that compared to Horizon 5 people are a lot better about understanding that the Trial is a team race. Although that could also be down to everyone realizing that AI cars doesn't reset or rewind if they miss a checkpoint and are basically out of the race after that, as the most common strat I've seen now is "let the two fastest player cars go, then bully as many of the red team cars off the road as possible".
It has been a bit random for me, but this week I didn't get rammed by any teammates. I'm not sure it needs a strategy, as such, I just grabbed a tune by K1Z Bard and was so much faster than the AI that I'd have thought at least 90% of players should be able to beat the fastest AI if they use the same car and tune. I didn't even drive it well. I don't know that track, I just drove it by looking at the minimap and only did the Trial once.

I checked out the game in Quality Mode for the first time. I hope none of y’all are playing the game like this because Jesus Christ.
Agreed! In quality mode the frame rate feels about as smooth as watching a Powerpoint presentation😂

I agree with several people here that've had surprisingly good experiences in The Trial. I still come across some rammers from time to time but the last few weeks it's mostly been smooth sailing and a win at the very first try.

I have been running this livery lately. I know, I know. It's a bit dorky, but I've almost had no contact or ram attemps by any team mates. Perhaps a coincidence idk 🤔

I've also seen several other players that have similar liveries, "Same team, don't ram" for example.

Btw, I'm Hasse 86 on Xbox Live. I've already added @UKMikey and some others and will continue to add the regulars here. Feel free to send me a request as well if you want to. I'll se you all on the racetrack!😊

Be warned, everyone, he is one fast mofo.

Pier Pressure is the one wristband event I regularly go back to in the hope that I can knock a few ms off my time. (Answer: no.) Regrettably, however, the stunt planes race and the malfunctioning giant robot are the only ones which count for today's daily challenge.

I got caught. I'm doing "Pier pressure" ⛔ as a daily challenge. And it's supposed to be a race against Mech. 🤖

But I finished the event in the festival playlist: "Horizon Play" even though I don't have a gold membership and I don't play multiplayer. 🤑

It’s a little frustrating because you can’t sort for “Showcase Event”, and the showcase events aren’t even called that. They’re an unlabeled subset of the Wristband Events.

Everytime I get one of these super macho “I’m not over-compensating for anything I swear” toxic masculinity cars, my first instinct is to paint it pink and cover it in Hello Kitty stickers.

I guess I'll be taking inspiration from this, lol. Never liked these types of vehicles, but now I suppose I have a purpose for them! :D

Honestly I haven't needed any meta tunes to keep up, largely because Japan has a lot fewer roads that are long straight lines and the AI's usual "motor first" approach to minmaxing means they bottleneck in corners a lot more this time around, so being able to hold speed through corners will stomp them easy enough. Plus I don't really like to spend 100k every week on some throwaway AWD swap that I'll end up reversing in ten minutes.

As far as liveries go... let's be honest, if they're close enough to read that, they're probably going to plow into you anyway either to be an obnoxious troll or because they're not watching the road. 🥴 I do make my car a non-factory color (Nissan Lightning Yellow is always a good high-vis choice) and spam the train horn at the start of the race for a bit just to be cautious, though.

Easy way to remember is that Showcase events are the ones where you're just racing against the clock with the section times, instead of something else as a normal point to point. I agree that they should be labeled a little better, though.

Not sure how many here play via console, but I guess it's the majority.
Well, you miss out on all the modding stuff, which is quite a lot, more than I would've expected so shortly after release.
Sound mods, menu mods, interior mods, exterior mods, rims and so on.
Nexus currently lists over 400 mods and no, it's not all just reshade.
