Forget waiting for PS5 release and stranded in Mexico, I've just purchased a new gaming Laptop and Xbox Game Pass (PC games) to finally go to Japan. :) (but have to wait to finish download first. :indiff:)

Yeah we miss out on speed mods, extra grip mods not to mention unlimited credits, wheelspins, all cars unless we buy a modded account.I get the mods to improve colours, sounds etc,but anything else that allows cheating I can live without. No disrespect to anyone who use mods fairly but there will always be a few people who spoil it for others.
Apart from something like a wheelspin thing, I don't remember having seen cheating stuff on Nexus. And that was in the early stages. Most current mods is stuff like exterior and interior mods, things like alcantara interior, ambient light, etc., also mods for showing telemetry on external devices and so on.

Honestly I haven't needed any meta tunes to keep up, largely because Japan has a lot fewer roads that are long straight lines and the AI's usual "motor first" approach to minmaxing means they bottleneck in corners a lot more this time around, so being able to hold speed through corners will stomp them easy enough. Plus I don't really like to spend 100k every week on some throwaway AWD swap that I'll end up reversing in ten minutes.

As far as liveries go... let's be honest, if they're close enough to read that, they're probably going to plow into you anyway either to be an obnoxious troll or because they're not watching the road. 🥴 I do make my car a non-factory color (Nissan Lightning Yellow is always a good high-vis choice) and spam the train horn at the start of the race for a bit just to be cautious, though.
Your reply regarding the livery made me think of this ol' meme template 😉

Some maneuvers by team mates really makes you question their intelligence and reading comprehension sometimes 😂

Regarding meta tunes, I've never used them in The Trial, neither in FH5 nor in FH6. It usually works fine anyway. I just make sure the stats for handling and speed is about the same, for a balanced build, and then try to not drive like a total knucklehead.

(I'm joking ofc. My pace is the most average ever 😂)

Racing brakes which allows for more rearward brake bias (to enable trail braking) is a must in every build.

Full racing suspension with a softer front and stiffer rear also helps with turn-in and to reduce understeer 🤓

(I know I'm preaching to the choir here as many of you are very accomplished tuners 😊)

Everytime I get one of these super macho “I’m not over-compensating for anything I swear” toxic masculinity cars, my first instinct is to paint it pink and cover it in Hello Kitty stickers.

I remember when I was living at my neighbours house for a while (I'd burnt my own down ) I painted all his Horizon 1 cars bright pink while he was at work. He wasn't impressed but it made me laugh anyway

That still happens unless a fix was done. I tried to paint the 430S & the stripes disappeared as soon as I put on vinyls.
That happened with me as well when trying to do a livery for the Jesko.

No issue with using mods to improve things like cosmetics & sounds, but i draw the line at exploiting & cheating. That BS I can live without.

Im going to be grave regarding series 3. After seeing Playgrounds history of festival playlist content, especially in the beginning year and a half of fh5 and the lack of content in series 2 of fh6 i feel like series 3 is going to be just as dissapointing if not worse.

My guess?

Recycled cars/carried over cars from fh5 for 20 points for each season with the 40 points being existing or hard to find cars. The series reward (60 points) is a new car, but heres the caveat, its from fm23 or it hasnt been seen in like 6 forza titles so it really isnt new. Also the 120 point is another existing car or hars to find.

I finally decided to just attempt to snipe the One:1 after 160+ super wheelspins had passed and I hadn't even seen it show up in the prize pool, let alone won the thing. Sniping is something I try to avoid because I did that a lot in FH4 and got quite sick of it.

So naturally, I found one in under ten searches and finally have my orange One:1 back! If I had known it would be that easy I would've skipped all the wheelspin grinding. Usually it isn't that easy though and requires lots of searches and patience...

Italian Passion Car pack is coming out tomorrow July 14th? 🇮🇹🍕🤌
Yes, the update as usally will come today/tomorrow at 19.00/20.00 PM, last one (with some fixes and the season 2 unlock, was on monday)
so who have the pack can play with the new cars (looking 4ward for the SE048 SP..)

Which probably means we can expect the Series 3 blogpost today or tomorrow as well, when Italian Passion drops. Neat!

Likely to happen in 4-5 hours from now, unless they decide to surprise us tomorrow by dropping the update first and then publishing the post. Crossing my fingers that the S3 update will also improve the game's stability on AMD GPUs and the glitchy sound 🙏

Apart from something like a wheelspin thing, I don't remember having seen cheating stuff on Nexus. And that was in the early stages. Most current mods is stuff like exterior and interior mods, things like alcantara interior, ambient light, etc., also mods for showing telemetry on external devices and so on.

There is a difference between "harmless" (though you may still risking getting banned) mods that enhance the experience (like extra bodykits or car shells, despite using unlicensed/stolen assets on some mods, YMMV on that) and those that are essentially cheating, which is a big no-no and grouds for a permaban.

AFAIK, the only one I've ever had was SimHub for FH5's HorizonPlus and only because I was 100% confident no one using it would get banned, as it uses the game's connectivity features. Now that I mention it, I could make a Horizon+ fork for FH6 in my free time, but the GUI changes for EVs will make it more difficult (read: fun).

Oh, for the latter I forgot to mention that certain EVs with 2 gears (Supervan 4, Taycan) also have some sort of rev lights, which I found interesting. Those Will send a picture later, they are different on both analog and digital modes!

Does anyone know if this video actually means something for the future of Forza Horizon 6?

OT but turns out those were his (in)famous last words - sentencing his future instead...

After day passed since I played FH6 for the first time:
  • I got Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV '88 from early on in the game for 160,000cr from my money that I grind.
  • My first Barn Find car found was Honda NSX-R GT 2005
  • My first Treasure Car found was Mazda RX-7 1985
  • I've got blue wristband currently
  • I got 1M cr currently from grind and rewards
I will get the golden wristband before Series 3 begins

Not sure how many here play via console, but I guess it's the majority.
Well, you miss out on all the modding stuff, which is quite a lot, more than I would've expected so shortly after release.
Sound mods, menu mods, interior mods, exterior mods, rims and so on.
Nexus currently lists over 400 mods and no, it's not all just reshade.

It's scary how FH6 completely changes with some simple mods like those related to the camera or even HUD, it's genuinely INSANE!! :dunce:

Of course, the gameplay in the video also has mods that change the colors and stuff (maybe it's a reshade? I'm not very familiar with this type of mod) but I'm pretty sure you can get the idea

edit: idk wth happened but I accidentally sent a forza motorsport dlc trailer instead of the actual video I was supposed to show, i think it's fixed now

We’re getting the Temerario at least, but no Utopia and Daytona SP3 in an Italian Exotics update is a diabolical fumble.

At least we’ll get a chance to buy some of the wheelspin exclusive Italian exotics as aftermarket cars I guess?..

Judging by the content, Italian Exotics is not bad in terms of recycled content.

Here’s the list of cars added outside of Italian Passion Pack:

2024 Lamborghini Temerario
1984 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 (from FM23)
2017 Abarth 124 Spider
1982 Lancia 037 Stradale
2022 Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder

Car Pass:

2003 Aston Martin DB7 GT (seen in the audio files)
1972 Nissan Patrol 60
2024 Toyota Prius Prime XSE Premium (seen in the audio files, and it will be a meme car)
1972 Honda Z GT (seen in the audio files)

Mascot Party’s gonna be harder to predict, but seems that the Car Pass has a more Japanese theme.

The Temerario is a surprise, I figured they would make that a car pass car. The new additions are also nice. And I am really happy that some wheelspin exclusive cars are going to be found via the aftermarket option.

I still think that they need to just get rid of the FOMO, but we know they won't. It just feels that there isn't anything to work towards after getting the 20 point car (I really hate having duplicate cars, probably my OCD.) I know the Mazda Cosmo is a history reward, but I am in rush for it.

For people like me who played the first season, I just wish they would have thrown the rewards into the aftermarket cars pool. They had a lot of Italian cars they could have brought back (Reventon, Levante, that Ferrari Racecar we had in the car pass in 5.) At this point, the best bet is they will add backstage pass earlier than later this time.

Either way, I am hyped for the Prius. Edit: And the Evo Spyder, I love spyders.

Having been watching Japanese dashcam compliations lately and seeing all the complaints about "Prius missiles" that cut up traffic in ways that would make an Audi driver blush, I'm looking forward to seeing how much of a menace I can be with one.
I'm actually more interested in the Patrol. Reading that it was used for police and fire departments, I'm hoping for some cool customizations.
Speaking of, while I usually don't like wishlisting cars and stuff I admit I kinda want them to put in an older Toyota HiAce van, specifically for this reason:

Hypercars are nice and all, but what I really want is to make an R class Tokyo Party Wagon. :sly:
