So, is it just me, or did the game get a light upgrade in terms of graphics after the update? Maybe I've forgotten some details due to taking more breaks from the game as of late, but it seems like particle effects (mostly spray from wet roads), lighting and how wheels look in motion look a lot better now compared to launch.

I do wonder if one of the expansions will be circuit racing/JGTC/JTC focused. Also wonder if the Group 5 Skyline's buddies will show up at some point as well (Silvia and Coca Cola Bluebird)
They are on my wishlist, they are much welcomed on FH.
Plus i'm okay if they put also the european/american Gr.5 cars too, for example the Capri or the Beta Montecarlo...

Being able to paint front and rear wheels separately is such a big QoL improvement.

EDIT: I'm still waiting for traffic to be fixed...took the 275 GTB4 for a spin and got it wrecked 4 times already by weird/stupid AI traffic behaviour...frustrating.
Traffic has become unbearable. It almost seems like they increased the amount of traffic since the update. I swear there's a car spawning in the absolute worst position on every single blind turn. I just wish we could adjust how much there is, because it's to the point where I hardly even want to drive on the roads any more and just seek out race tracks.

Agreed. At this point I'd rather roam empty streets than enduring more of this...yes, an empty Tokyo is straight science-fiction, but traffic doing this is as well:

(Everything messy on the pic happen by itself, no human was involved in this chaos)

Same here. I'm sorry, but the car still doesn't work for me, every single predecessor did in one way or the other, from the 288 GTO all the way to the LaFerrari, but this...I've spend several minutes trying colors, with and without the black bands in the front, looking at it from all angles...kinda looks like a generic hypercar for a game, not ugly, but...not iconic either.

I finally settled on yellow, but...yup. It doesn't grow on me. This angle alone...many lines are trying to work together, but they don't speak to each other:
I'll try whatever I can to jazz it up, but I just don't see the car ever growing on me. It's too generic, it's missing that classic Ferrari charm. I look at the car and I don't see anything about the design that you know, makes it truly stand out as a marvel in automotive engineering. Rather, for a car of its stature & what it's supposed to represent, I'm left feeling there's something missing.

It's not bad, but it's not iconic. It's just....there.

I have the same sentiment towards the McLaren W1. Now, that one may have a better chance of growing on me, but it still doesn't quite hit the same notes as its predecessors did.

Or to at least throttle traffic on certain roads to keep it semi-realistic. I expect Tokyo to be crowded, but I shouldn't be running into literal traffic jams on a mountain pass in the middle of the night.

Bet the next Group C car Will be a Nissan, due to the setting plus, like we said some Pages ago, T10/Playground have Scan the Zama Museum Cars.
(But I suspect Will see a R34 Racing car 1st, since they put R32 Calsonic JTCC and R33 GT500 Pennzoil. Maybe the R34 2003?)
Could definitely see them adding a R34 race car first over a Group C Nissan but we shall see 😀.

"Insufficient evidence" for your grief report, open a ticket and upload pictures/videos.

Cool beans.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of dirty racing being dealt with in Horizon.

Motorsport had a similarly convoluted process but you could send in-game replays which made it easier.

Part of me thinks the complicated submission process is by design because it’s so many hoops to jump through. And most won’t bother, especially with stuff needing to be done outside of the game.

One thing that is annoying though is that if I kick somebody from a convoy they can rejoin immediately. I don’t mind randoms joining my sessions to boost the grid, so long as they race clean.

It would also be nice if when you paused your car would ghost and auto-drive. Motorsport did that and it meant that if you saw a divebomb or shove coming you could dodge it.

I agree this is what we do sometimes. If I could rant about my experience on helpdesk, it would be a 3 page essay, so I will just say this: helpdesk people understand your frustration a lot of the time, and also get ignored by the people actually making the infrastructure or decisions.

Anyways, after trying the new cars in the Italian pack, I actually really enjoy the Ferrari 275 the most. I have it top of B class, and it is relaxing to drive.

Got myself a Ferrari SF90 and the longtail McLaren F1. Would be nice if the latter had its own wing included in the game and not just the Forza aero.
I wish they would let us choose between the straight rear wing pylons (I think that’s what they’re called) from FH5 and the swan neck ones featured in FH6 like you can for many cars in GT7. Some cars would just look better with the straight ones and others like the GT1 homologation cars would look more like their race car counterparts if we had a choice. I like having my cars in game look like my die cast cars I collect and most of those have the straight pylons.

It transpires that - now, at least, as I recall doing it before with video files off my USB stick - they want you to upload replays to OneDrive and give them the links. Which you cannot do initially in the in-game report.

So the process is basically: find player through in-game social, report for griefing, get told they can't do it that way and you have to open a ticket on the website, then do that while uploading the replays to OneDrive and include the links in your ticket.

Then and only then:

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and we apologize that you have had this experience. We strive to ensure our games provide players with a safe and inclusive environment. After investigation, we have taken action based on your report. Thank you for helping to make Forza a safer community for everyone! Please note that for privacy reasons, we are unable to share the specifics.

And on top of that you’ll probably never see that specific random again in a race anyway because there’s so many people playing the game.

Learned a long time ago what my solution to those kinds of players was: get so good at a game that they can’t get anywhere near me.

Side-note I was a community marshal for Forza Motorsport 7 and even then I saw how futile the reporting process was. The only time things felt effective was when a marshal was in the same race as you and they could kick people out of the lobby mid-race. I don’t think even that’s a thing anymore, at least I’ve not heard such things from the marshals I race with.

If FM23 was able to implement a somewhat coherent DR/SR system, why not do the same with Horizon?

Edit: Also wanted to say, the Prius being grouped into the Hot Hatch category is heresy.

I think the Patrol being put in Offroad instead of Pickups & 4x4s is worse. Mostly because of what else is in the Offroad class

I just found a Pagani Huayra R at the aftermarket car dealership near the Stadium so it seems that previous playlist rewards have been added to the aftermarket cars, well at least one has been.
Yeah, I just blew over two million of my Rivals earnings picking up a Ferrari Enzo at the same place so it seems that spot is one to watch. I need to save some money for the Shimanoyama wheelspin exclusives so I passed on a second Huayra R.

I drove the F80 last night and I have a lot to say so apologies if this post is a bit messy.

When I saw the car for the first time, I wasn't sure what to make of it - no V12, weird styling and full time 4WD. After hearing the car, I wasn't particularly convinced but I tried to remain optimistic because a new "F" car is a BIG DEAL. Another reason to be optimistic was surprisingly the engine as it'd been derived from a Le Mans winning hypercar, and that carries enormous clout in my eyes. Like previous F cars, soo much of the technology and construction techniques come from motorsport and the F80 is no different. Yes, I know the V12 is cool and all but that was never the core focus for this lineage of cars - it's ruthless efficiency. Whether you like to hear it or not, the twin turbo V6 with 3 electric motors is the most effective combination. A total power output of 1,184 HP is no joke and let me tell you, the car is UNBELIEVABLY quick. It rockets out of corners. It sticks to the tarmac like few cars ever made for "the road". It does everything you ask of it and with all that endurance racing know-how, you can rest assured that the car will take it all day... unlike the AMG One. Look I know Forza Horizon's physics aren't gospel but the F80 is one of the best Ferraris I've driven in any game. I don't think a V12 would've allowed such incredible performance whilst maintaining SOME sensibility. Yes, I know the Valkyrie is an incredible car but it's way more intimidating and far less refined on a number of fronts. The F80 may not beat it straight up but if I had the cash, I would pick it over the Valkyrie. I said what I said. Read it and weep folks. I don't care about the styling because going fast requires a lot of development work everywhere, resulting in the package you see. Ferrari probably knew this the whole time but they didn't back out or cave. They stuck to their plan and created an insane machine that lives up to the Ferrari name. I know Dino would be proud of the V6.

I decided to snag it since I have until Thursday before those cars show up to grind for more credits and I’ll have a full 4 weeks to buy them all. Plus Huayra R’s are going for more than 2 million in the AH right now so I could do a quick flip if I wanted, although I do like that I have 2 of every Pagani car right now.
