Those liveries come from the Lego sets that have already been on sale for a while.

The strange thing is that they are now giving them to all players, without the need to buy the Lego sets.

What I find odd is that they didn't make actual Lego cars like in FH4, instead it's just a simple livery.

As much as I like Lego, I hope they don't repeat a Lego themed expansion like they did with Hot Wheels.

Well, full Technic models would be an upgrade over the simpler FH4 models. And having landmarks like Himeji Castle (set 2160) would be awesome. There is also a Legoland park in Japan.

I’m sure a Lego expansion could be great (I loved the one in FH4).
But I’d prefer Playground to be more original and take a risk on something different.

Each of the expansions has had its own unique features, but they haven't been all that different from one another.

Horizon Rally / Storm Island / Blizzard Mountain / Fortune Island / Rally Adventure

F&F / Hot Wheels / Lego Speed Champions / Hot Wheels

FH6 Lego Technic?

With FH5 they missed the opportunity to do something with lowriders, which are part of Mexico's car culture.

Aside from the Nissan Tsuru and Ramiro talking to us about the Vocho, there wasn't much else related to Mexico.

I’d like to see something related to Japanese car culture.
Touge races aren't enough for me.

Even if LEGO would at least be better than Hot Wheels, I really want something new.

Unfortunately, FH6 strikes me so far as rather uninspired and lacking in creativity, with the massive recycling of elements we’ve seen long before being particularly disappointing. Another LEGO DLC would, sadly, fit perfectly into this picture.

the thing is forza really like to play safe and afraid to try something new. Even I think FH6 is somehow undercook and uncomplete. Back to the DLC discussion, I hope it's not something that's HW or Lego. Try approach Japanese IPs like Tomica and make Tomica Town.
 
With everything Japan as a setting has to offer in terms of car culture, any toy DLC will be a major disappointment. In terms of cars and racing it's just not very interesting. The last Hot wheels was somewhat cool with the crazy tracks, but I feel like we've seen everything toys have to offer at this point.

My main hopes for the DLCs are: a map extension and not a separate one, something resembling a story/campaign, and obviously centered around some form of tuner culture(s), since there's so many to choose from.

I'm hoping for something themed around Midnight Club or Tokyo Drift (and include the song!). Another city or the Hokkaido region would also be cool.

I do like the idea of Hokkaido as the semi-realistic expansion. Or go the complete opposite direction and have Okinawa as a DLC.

Personally, I can take or leave a LEGO Expansion. I would much rather have something that focuses on Drifting, Rally, or leans more into other areas of Japanese car culture that aren't really shown currently.

On the flipside, since the '16 Viper ACR is a wheelspin-exclusive in FH6, I'll be happy to finally add that car to my collection.

There’s a Matchbox movie coming out sometime this year too so that could be another possibility for a collaboration expansion, and it’s the 25th anniversary for F&F as well.

I'd reckon that will happen in a couple more years when the new movie is out & both PGG/Universal can make a bigger return on it. Unfortunately, Universal has been really quiet on sharing that F&F is returning to theaters next month for a short stint, so I don't think they have any desire to let PGG use the film to market the game b/c there's no significant return for Universal.

However, personally, I'd much rather see cars from the first movie see new light in FH6 than whatever crazy concept they've got cooked up for FX: P2.

I have to agree on not wanting a HW and/or LEGO Expansions, they were fun back on its day, but Horizon 6 claims for something new, fresh, and...something that connects with the location, people have been expecting Japan for the longest time, so if the expansions happen to be a cheap tie-in with any brand that would work on literally any location in the planet, it's definitely a big miss.

The LEGO collab worries me since a 3rd Hot Wheels expansion would be a joke at this point, but...a 2nd LEGO expansion is definitely something I can see happening, to make it even with HW. We'll see...
 
You know my first guy instinct is to say I think a Lego expansion would be really redundant, but also the first one was great. On top of that the last two times I thought an expansion would be redundant (Hot Wheels 2 and Rally Adventure in FH5) I ended up thinking they added something significant to the franchise. Lego has some crazy potential for wacky ideas and maps (why NOT have some Hot Wheels type loops for example) so I'm willing to hear Playground out since they've always proven me wrong.
 
Glad this week's Trial was a lot easier than last week. I took the Rivian and slapped parts to get it to top of A Class. Surprisingly did very good, 2nd on Race 1 and 1st on Race 2.
